5 out of 5 eggsCAPABLE ALL-IN-ONE

Pros: This is a very capable motherboard for any business or web surfing platform. I highly recommend it if you build multiple units for customers wanting economic reliability.

- Very solid and stable in Windows 7 Premium
- Used almost any Pentium or Duo Class CPU
- Repurpose old CPUs and DDR2 DRAM
- Easy overclocking
- Built-In Intel DVI is DX10.1 with excellent color and sharpness display on LCD
- Four SATA
- 3 onboard USB headers
- Great sound
- Excellent utility disk
- Quality solid capacitors and GG 3-year warranty

Cons: Only two DDR2 DRAM slots, but that is inherent in the motherboard's chipset. This is not a drawback, just an observation.

Other Thoughts: This is a super budget platform for any business or student build.

4 out of 5 eggsGood board

Pros: When it works, it does good. Overclocking is a breeze, with all the nice auto settings. The HDMI out is very nice. Been running the new right for about a week 24x7, overclocked a Pentium D from 3.0 Ghz, up to 3.8 Ghz with no problems yet. Very stable with the memory and processor that are in there. I plan on getting a quad core for this rig shortly, so we'll see how that goes.

Cons: I ordered this board about 2 months ago from another place, and it was DOA. Gigabyte RMA takes FOREVER! I got the replacement about 3 weeks after I had to PAY to send them a dead board. They finally got me the same board back, apparently the "fixed" the problem. Not sure how long it will last... Also, the northbridge is freaking HOT to the touch. Replaced northbridge heatsink and put on a water block, to go along with my water cooled processor, that seems to take care of that. The 775 socket also had a bent pin, but I fixed that myself.

Other Thoughts: You will want to find a way to keep that northbridge cool. With the Gigabyte heat sink on it, it can get so hot you dont want to touch it. Be careful.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: HDMI out. High quality, this board will give you no fits. Front USB will provide power even when PC is off. Good feature with all the little throw away electronics bouncing around that want to do everything including charge through USB.

Cons: PCI-E slot at 4x. I knew it when I got it, the box was for someone else and high end video card isn't a concern but it's still a little silly to have this thing at x4.

Other Thoughts: Don't get this board if you plan on dropping in a video card for the purpose of gaming. Just pick something else. No reason at all to put a high end video card in this motherboard.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat board for the price

Pros: Quick setup, does as advertised, good component placement, can overclock if needed.

Cons: 4x PCIe (instead of x16 as was advertised when I purchased).

Other Thoughts: I bought this as an HTPC board, and it's working great. I found out after the fact that it didn't have the Intel HD series video built in, but that doesn't seem to be a problem for my setup.

This board
Pentium Dual-Core E6400
2GB G.Skill RAM
320GB WD Caviar Black HDD
Win7 Pro

5 out of 5 eggsgood basic board

Pros: Good board. Running Ubuntu for a home movie machine for the parents. got to reuse older hardware with this board which is a plus for me. For a home computer this machine is fine. Maybe even a HTPC build if the onboard graphics are good for what you are doing. Has VGA, DVI and HDMI video outputs.

Cons: AS others have said the PCI-e 16 slot is X4 so not so great for a video card.

Other Thoughts: CPU pent 805 yes that old CPU is in this board. 2 GB Ram. mid tower case since I wanted a few case fans (P805 is a hot CPU). I did have XP, vista (64 bit), windows 7 (32 and 64 bit) installed for a few days each on this board to test it out. NO issues.

5 out of 5 eggsNice, Very Nice

Pros: Nice layout and complete packaging. Another winner from Gigabyte for motherboards. Up to 4 SATA disks and your choice of video interfaces. Documentation and Tech Support Knowledge base rocks. Good variety of RAM for the 2 slots available.

Cons: Just knit picky ones. Only 2 SATA Cables in the box, no PCI-Express slots (You know the little ones), I had to order a new extra USB Card instead of being able to use the one I had on a shelf.

Other Thoughts: Be sure to go into the bios and disable the Floppy in the boot sequence, especially if you don't have one, Windows 7 Pro didn't like it and wouldn't install.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid mATX board

Pros: Has all three video types: VGA, DVI and HDMI.
Runs quad core CPUs.

Cons: PCI-e slot only works at 4x (so if you want to use your own add-in graphics card, then you might want a different board for full performance).
Some of the software on the CD is entirely unnecessary. Would be more user-friendly if it was divided between drivers and software.

Other Thoughts: I just built two PCs w/ this board, one XP and one Win7. XP required the driver CD, Win7 found all the drivers itself.
If using USB mouse and keyboard, see the review below about going into bios and enabling them; I froze up during an XP update and had to hold the power button to hard reboot.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Bang For The Buck

Pros: This board is just simply amazing to be smaller than most M-atx boards that I have ever worked with and to put out all the graphics power on board! Easy the install was easy with a great drivers disc engineered to make it easy and even comes with a 90 day free trial period of Norton antivirus! I love it! I think the with price at what it is; this will be the first build that I might actually make a little money on for a change! Great job!

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I just wish I had bought more of these! The only thing that I do not understand is how someone can expect this board to do something that most of the full size boards do not do as when you connect a PCIe graphics card; most boards disable the on board graphics automatically! No driver issues and no crashes! Where was this board when I got stuck with a sorry Exx board? I just hope that NewEgg keeps these and keeps them at the price they now are as I have yet to make dime building a computer! I belief that I will be able to sell this with no problem and was amazing when I hooked up the HDMI on my son's tv just to try it! Nice job for Gigabyte and thanks to NewEgg for stocking this at a great price!!!

5 out of 5 eggsGigabyte G41M-ES2H - Excellent Board

Pros: The Gigabyte GA-G41M-ES2H has been used in several of my recent builds. It is a solid board with many of the features of those expensive boards. It is excellent for the price and I have never had any problems with BIOS, etc.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you're someone looking to build a solid computer that will last for a while and looking to save a few bucks while doing so... I would definitely recommend this board.

1 out of 5 eggsGeForce 210 is a No Go

Pros: With this card (GeForce 210) I hope to Rid of My graphics driver issues crashing constintly. With 512Mb Video memory thought I would have no issues but card willnot display a thing, this is a really big dissapointment The onboard video should have worked out the gate with no problems but just to let you know I wish I had gotten somthing else even a cheapper board would have been better than this
