Versatile Board with Good Graphics
- Pros: Great value, excellent on-board graphics with multiple video-out options, runs fast, cool, and stable. If the RAM I ordered hadn't been bad, I would have been up and running Windows 7 in 2-3 hours. The board itself is solid. The bios is very intuitive with lots of options for customization, if you're into that.
- Cons: I didn't have any major issues with my basic build.
- Other Thoughts: This is a great middle-of-the-road board. It works great for a basic build--quick, reliable, stable, and leaves plenty of room for upgrades down the road. On the other hand, it's also a good platform for a more complex build. Either way, it's a good value and you can't go wrong.
Combined this with an AMD Athlon II X2 245 Regor processor and 2X2 GB Crucial DDR3 1066 RAM for a quick and cheap Windows 7 machine. Very pleased with the result!
GIGABYTE is one of the best
- Pros: I have read a lot of reviews before buying motherboards and as of 3 months ago i would still purchase any of the Gigabyte's collection of MBs (actually i own three of them, the UD3R, the UD4P, and now this UD2H) and they all work like a champ.
- Cons: Sadly this line is at its end because of the new upcoming SATA's 6Gbit rate and USB 3.0 coming out, I would definitely wait to buy one of those later. dont get me wrong i am completely satisfied with my OC i7 920 at 4ghrz on air and my crossfire 4870s with 6 gb of ram 1600 mhz lol : )
- Other Thoughts: did i forget to mention newegg.com is probably the best thing to happen since slice bread?
2 down and waiting
- Pros: Posted previously on 11/01/09 2 builds, with his board 2 of 4 board were good. Second board on each build was excellent. Runs fast and has many Bios over clock items. Will recommend as a good AM3 board.
- Cons: None at this point, second build is running strong.
