Great, Stable board
- Pros: Quality board, great layout, good features
- Cons: Only 4 ram slots
- Other Thoughts: Running as my gaming and video editing machine for a month now. No problems what so ever with i5-750@4GHZ, radeon 5770, 8gb ram and 3x 1tb drives.
Another excellent board from Gigabyte
- Pros: Easy to overclock, superb BIOS features, easy to flash without any usb or floppy drive necessary. This is a good quality board, perhaps the best on the market below $200. I recently had a 965p-s3, which was tremendous for my slacr, and it seemed to give out after close to 4 year, Gigabyte was the only real choice for me. BTW, make sure you upgrade from the f2 bios to receive a 21 multiplier on an i5-750 like I did. I can hit 4.5 ghz stably on it but the temps are too much for air, nice, stable and low temps at 3.75ghz.
- Cons: Included bios (f2) isn't great.
Does not support SLI, that kinda sucks.
It doesn't cook me dinner.
- Other Thoughts: This is the best board on the market for s1156 overclocking below $250.
Good Choice After A Bios Flash
- Pros: Overclocks well
Has a floppy connection for those still using XP and don't slipstream
Plenty of USB and SATA ports
Good layout
- Cons: F2 bios is terrible and caused most applications and utilities to freeze. CPUZ reported false info or no info at all. F4 bios cured everything.
Need to manually configure DDR3 1600 because it is not natively supported and is recognized as DDR3 1333
- Other Thoughts: Overall it is a good board but it has its quirks. A bios upgrade fixed my issues. If it shipped with F4 bios I would have given it 5 stars.
