Great for SLI / Crossfire [2 cards] (8x/8x is plenty of bandwidth)
I have used Gigabyte motherboards for years and every single one is a pleasure to overclock with!
Cons: When you use the bottom x4 slot, other features on the board become disabled. I believe you can choose to run the bottom slot at x1 and keep the features enabled but don't quote me on this (I know you can pick between x1 and x4 in the bios)
Other Thoughts: If you want to use 3 Video cards on a p55 platform, the only way is by using a motherboard with an nf200 PCI-E Multiplexer chip onboard. There are several motherboards that have this chip, however there are multiple ways of hooking the chip up and splitting up the lanes. Tom's hardware has a great review on this NF200 add-in chip that actually has benchmarks. Check it out if interested in 3-way SLI or Crossfire.
There was an issue with the 5850 / windows7-64 / possibly this motherboard (search google for "5850 windows 7 large cursor") but after updating to the latest bios (f3 -> f7b) this issue has been resolved.
Also the latest f7b bios is supposed to help memory overclocking/stability even more.

Pros: This Motherboard is great, but requires unique touch and delicate work. Overclocking should be easy; I haven’t tried oc more than 4x2.8 just yet, due to my stock heat shrink. Currently waiting for decent 1156 sockets heat shrink to be released before I really put this board to the test. I wouldn’t recommend doing it on stock heat shrink though. Overall: I give it five stars on the one that works. Overclocking is five stars as well.
Cons: My first board that I got from gigabyte was horrible experience. I didn’t even test it when it arrived at my door steps. It was my mistake in being so excited and having so much confidence in gigabyte motherboards. I didn’t even bother with testing procedure before installation. Anyway I installed it in my Antec Nine-Hundred case (great fit by the way). Powered it up…My pc kept rebooting over and over again? Every part had to be retested separately to figure out were the problem were coming from. After the entire testing procedures it has come to conclusion that it’s a motherboard failure. So I send it back for a replacement got a new one in about a week. Newegg was awesome though, very easy to work with and reimbursed me for the shipping fees as well. Anyway my second motherboard worked, but not without problems. Everything seemed fine at the moment, but after W7-64 bit installation audio would NOT work. Note: I had audio issues at first on W7-64 bit & minor USB problems.
Other Thoughts: Expensive board for having so many issues & bugs. I strongly suggest updating all the drives. They got the proper drivers updates for almost all the operating systems. After I went to gigabyte web link downloaded all the drives including audio drive for my operation system and the bug went away. At the moment everything seems to be running fine and flawless.

Other Thoughts: This board is easy to set up (this being my first computer I have assembled) and it has enough bells and whistles to last me for many upgrades to come. The software is easy to set up and the instructions are great. Fool proof!
