4 out of 5 eggsPCI-e 2.0

Pros: Look at the picture of the board, zoom in, says PCI-E 2.0. Just because the specs at Gigabyte say PCI-E 16 does not mean it aint 2.0. Doesn't say 1.0 either. Do not believe every thing you read in these reviews, check it out for your self.

Cons: This board came defective, could not see the cord to my modem so I installed an add on card. There was just enough room below my GPU.

Other Thoughts: Only 3GB RAM available if you are running 32 bit.

5 out of 5 eggsGA-G41MT-D3 mATX

Pros: Very solid board, redundant BIOS. Runs P965 era LGA-775 chips. Pentium D Extreme Edition 3.733 Ghz at stock speed. Power save, End-user configuration patently available Advanced ACPI options include the ability to power on with PS/2 input. 1333Mhz FSB. Integrated chipsets, networking, well tolerated by all major OSes.

Cons: mATX, but REQUIRES 600W PSU! Do NOT skimp on the power supply. I know this first hand.

Other Thoughts: I am very pleased with the versatility of this board.

1 out of 5 eggsNOPE

Pros: Not many that I see other than the price.....

Its brand new...Nuff said

Cons: This has only one BIOS revision...If you are thinking about using OCR RAM on this board...forget it...It will Bluescreen all day long...Very unstable...
Gigabyte Tech says OCZ is not good, but I have used it in many X48 builds that are all overclocked and running s update the BIOS ..Give me the G31 any day...Who needs DDR3 anyways...Its to problematic IMO on this board.....

Plus...OCZ calls for voltages at 1.65...This board only gives 1.6 or 1.7

Other Thoughts: Maybe this will run stable on Corsair RAM....I have built three rigs with this board as of last week...ALL were having problems running OCZ

5 out of 5 eggsgreat for hackintosh

Pros: Works OOB with iBoot Hackintosh. Cheap, stable, easy setup.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Not for extreme overclocking. It can be overclocked, but moderately.

I bought this to build a hackintosh, and it that capacity, it work perfectly. From 0 to Mac in 40 minutes. No freezes, no hangs.

Still futzing with the Mac sound drivers, but otherwise it is great.

1 out of 5 eggsWarning. Not pci express 2.0

Pros: I don't own this board.

Cons: I don't own this board.

Other Thoughts: Just thought people should know that this is not a PCI EXPRESS 2.0 board. I bought a GA-G41M-ES2L a few months ago and it was listed as a pcie 2.0 at the time. They just revised it recently. Kinda angry about it. I was shopping for another board and noticed that they listed this one, another gigabyte board, as a pcie 2.0.

If you go to gigabytes website, their specs show that it's not pcie 2.0. Just thought that I should warn people about this. I like newegg but shame on them for falsely advertising another gigabyte board.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect! but....

Pros: Put an e8400 and some generic DDR3-1066 2X2GB RAM sticks in and it fired up like a champ. Solid stock performance.

Cons: BUT!! This board overclocks horribly. At least with an e8400 which should be easy for it. It may be my ram, it may also be the fact it's a fresh board to the market and still on it's initial release BIOS. The options are there in the BIOS, but it just won't produce any changes outside the scope of 5-7%

Other Thoughts: Core 2 Duo E8400
4GB (2x2GB) Generic DD3-1066
HIS AMD Radeon 5770
160GB WD 7200RPM HD

This comp is specifically for WOW at 2560x1440 (iMac 27" screen and it serves it's purpose well, would be a bit better with a solid OC especially since WOW is CPU bound more so than GPU, but hopefully future BIOS revisions remedy that. Kinda what I get for a getting an intial BIOS hybrid DDR3/775 board) :D
