The GIGABYTE Ultra Durable 3 design features twice the copper for both the power and ground layers of the PCB, dramatically lowering system temperature by efficiently spreading heat from critical areas of the motherboard (such as the CPU power zone) throughout the entire PCB. GIGABYTE's Ultra Durable 3 also lowers the PCB impedance by 50%, which helps to reduce electrical waste and further lowers component temperatures. A 2x Copper layer design also provides improved signal quality and lower EMI (Electromagnetic Interference), providing better system stability and allowing for greater margins for overclocking.

4 out of 5 eggsIt died after 3 years of service

Pros: Worked solidly for 3 years as warranty covered, but not much longer due to my own stupidity. Would probably have kept going another 3 if I hadn't messed up when cleaning dust out of my PC one morning that or my defunct PSU fried it when I plugged everything back in and tried to turn it on. Power button did nothing and when it finally powered on only fans spun, lights went on, HDDs spun but no POST or anything. Got new PSU to see if that was the only issue but no, new PSU didn't fix it. What a terrible day.

Cons: Little quirks, sometimes would cycle through start ups but once in a blue moon. It would get to BIOS screen and then restart 1 or 2 times but then boot Windows.
Or sometimes it would hang on the little white blinking cursor before the Windows load screen, so I would have to hit the reset button.

Other Thoughts: Despite this board being solid for me I think I'll try Asus next. This is the second Gigabyte MOBO I've ever owned and I seem to always get the ones with quirks that can get a bit annoying, though they run solidly besides that.

RIP MOBO

1 out of 5 eggsnever buying gigabyte again after this

Pros: Honestly none, no redeeming features from any other cheap board.

Cons: Tolerated the board for a year. Constant blue screen, freezing, bootloop etc... if it blue screened around 3 times windows would corrupt and would require a full reformat/install. Countless hours of debugging ram, cpu, HDD, PSU etc which all worked fine. Finally have an asus board coming in, just was angry enough to write a poor review on this board. I doubt I can even get any sort of compensation after this long.

1 out of 5 eggsStable Board - Utterly Worthless Support

Pros: Stable board...if you run BIOS F4 or lower
Solid state caps
More than decent board components

Cons: Gigabyte support just plain horrific. I went online and did their little hoop-jumping to ask about the problem of why BIOS F4, or lower, POSTs and boots just fine but BIOS F5, or higher, says there is no OS on the drive (but flashing back to F4, the system boots without a hiccup). I did initially get a response from support, but they answered a question I simply did not ask. I reposted (submitted a new request of the same question when the follow-up of my question went unanswered for 2+ weeks). That repost never got answered.

Other Thoughts: Thank you, Gigabyte, for helping me decide that my next board will absolutely NOT be a GB board. There are so many other manufacturers out there who make a board equally, if not better than, yours AND THEY ACTUALLY SUPPORT IT with tech support that answers their customers' questions. This is the absolute last of my money you will ever see. And, since I am also the CIO of our company (which has four sister companies) and our corporate office, I guarantee you, not a single GB board will cross the threshold into our building again.

5 out of 5 eggsI must have totally lucked out or what?

Pros: Ok, I ordered the GA-P67A-UD3 over one and a half years ago. Then, Intel says a chip was bogus on it. Three months later, the GA-P67A-UD3-B3 was sent to me completely cost free.

I installed my Intel i5-2500k and off I went into the wild blue yonder at Sandy Bridge. This motherboard has operated flawlessly since March 2011, and I have had it on nearly 24/7 since then.

I have never experienced the dreaded "loop" reboot that many people talk about. Did I totally luck out or what? Not sure but...

I did go to Gigabyte's forum in the UK and received incredibly nice tech support and very clear answers to every question. I did not rush through the original set up but asked many, many questions. Basically, I took my time and did it right.

I have no regrets with this MB. I do feel nervous when I read so many nightmarish reviews here for this MB.

In conclusion, I am not sure why so many people have had negative experiences with this MB.

Sorry to hear your pain people!

Cons: Not a single con. Every single item on this motherboard has worked flawlessly for me since 03/2011. What can I say?

Here's what I did:

1. Locate and install all drivers directly from Gigabyte's website. DO NOT USE THE DRIVERS ON THE DISK!

2. Set SATA to ACHI before installing operating system IF you will use a SSD for the OS!

3. Update the BIOS to the most recent one!

4. Slow down, take your time, and do it right the first time.

5. If you have any questions or problems, go to Gigabyte's forum in the UK. The guys there know exactly how to help you and they do it with kindness, care and total expertise.

Other Thoughts: Well, nearly one and a half years later, I am considering an upgrade. Been looking at all those nice Z77 MB's and must confess, my technical mouth is drooling!

My present set up:

CM HAF 932
Intel i5-2500k
GA-P67A-UD3-B3
Corsair Vengeance LP 16 GB 1600
CM Hyper 212+
OCZ 850 Watt Gold
ASUS DVD Writer
Intel 180 GB SSD
WD Black 2 TB
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Hauppauge 2250

Runs sweet, sweet, sweet!

NewEgg rocks!

It's me,

Soar

5 out of 5 eggsNo real problems

Pros: It runs everything smooth as butter! The only time I got the often cited startup loop problem was when I had a bad stick of RAM in there. Replaced that stick, and it's been flawless ever since.

Cons: None I can think of yet, but I'm not a technician who lives and breathes this stuff. I'm just an everyday end user with common sense and internet access. With that, you can make almost anything work.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Hardware

Pros: On paper this is a great board for the price. Unfortunately that's as far as it goes.

Cons: I've checked every piece of my computer several times over, and this is the only remaining variable. Upon arrival I had to deal with the infamous reboot loop issues (which I was able to fix), but after only a few months my PC began to freeze and stutter; at this point, after roughly one year of ownership, full screen games are virtually unplayable because they crash every time I attempt to play.

The instability and poor performance I've been caused by this board is unacceptable.

The issues are bleeding into my everyday browsing and etc. I'm looking to get a new board; at this point, I'm not even confident enough in this piece of junk board to get a replacement of the same kind.

Other Thoughts: This was my first build, and the only thing I'll give to this board was that it worked for long enough that I was able to learn some important things from its flaws and what I consider failure. "A computer is only as good as its weakest part" is a very true statement, and this here is the weakest link in mine.

1 out of 5 eggsFreezing!

Pros: Nothing much of to speak about here

Cons: My PC randomly freezes. No BSOD, just a frozen screen. I have to restart the computer and then of course I get the boot loop! I have tried different hard drives and cables, I even updated the BIOS and drivers. This is just a bad motherboard!

5 out of 5 eggsRunning a flawless i3 Quad with Snow Leopard

Pros: Great price, reliable, fast, easy configuration.

Cons: Doesn't run Geforce GTX 460 properly without the correct DSDT.

Other Thoughts: I'm able to run(not all at the same time of course) any Adobe program, Pro tools LE, Final Cut Pro, Cinema 4D, Real Flow and Shake. On many occasions, the system would run for 3 to 4 days rendering Animations and I've had no issues.

1 out of 5 eggsRun to your next choice of boards

Pros: it only takes 5 minutes to get past the BIOS screen everytime I start or restart the system. Doing updates that require a reboot is always fun. once windows takes over booting things are normal I guess.

I haven't had the endless boot loop yet. that's. a pro, right.

Cons: I've always liked and used Gigabyte boards buying doubt that will continue. After the boot time problem there are the random glitches that happen. When lucky the screen will only black for a couple of seconds and come back with notice that a driver crashed. different drivers each time. usually the system needs to reboot.

Other Thoughts: This board is a waste of money. I'm writing this review on my phone because I didn't really want to start my system and wait just to write this review. the only reason I still using it is because I can't afford to send it back and be without a of during that time. So, I'll keep suffering until I can get a descent board. Don't Waste your money, gigabytes quality has really gone downhill
