1 out of 5 eggsBoot Problems

Pros: Nice looking board. Sturdy construction.

Cons: Boot looping issues. Have waited for the P7 bios that is to fix boot issues, but still having problems. I have 4 of these, and they all are unstable.

5 out of 5 eggsEGGCELENT

Pros: Had this board since Jan. 2011. Rock solid. Overclocks well, only one crash, except when trying to OC too much. Flash utility is easy.

Cons: One unexplained crash suddenly, but not necessarily on the mobo. When trying to OC too much, during experimenting, you should expect a few crashes with any mobo.

Had to exchange for a B3 revision after a couple months after a recall. Not a problem other than 1 hour rebuild time.

Other Thoughts: It's rock solid, and stays ON 24/7. I never turn this machine off. I use a good case, good video card, good RAM, etc. with a 2600k at 4.3GHz. No problems ever. Except the one unexpected crash after over 1.5 years that I can't necessarily blame on the board.

1 out of 5 eggsBad board?

Pros: Fast when working and not corrupting mirrored arrays.

Cons: After three months the board went nuts and reboot, reflashed the bios. After setting the bios up again, my os and data partitions became corrupt.
Turns out the board was corrupting my disk while the bios had defaults.
So after a week of different setting it was the following settings causing the corruption -
CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E)
C3/C6 State Support
Nice that the default settings cause corruption, I suspect a timing issue.

Other Thoughts: Support sucks, no tools to troubleshoot, just expect me to purchase another cpu although it has been the board acting flaky and rebooting reloading bios for no apparent reason. Also, have had to power off my corsair 850W power supply on occasion to even get it to post.
Very disappointed in Gigabyte and this no so check board. Makes ya wonder why it is legacy already after a very short production life.
Lost me as a customer but they probably could careless based on my interaction with support. Two thumbs down and unacceptable for this many bones.

5 out of 5 eggsI don't understand the problem...

Pros: First off, just to place my tech level so you know I know what Im talking about, I have an MS in CIS and 4 certs in computer networking and engineering. This is by far one of THE BEST boards Ive ever owned - and I have gone through dozens. Everything works - period. OC'd 2600k to 5.2 using multiplier and voltage settings only! Turned off a few power options for the CPU like C1 state, etc. (This is the stuff that people who think they know what theyre doing dont know.) The "buggy" BIOS is only "buggy" if you change settings you know nothing abut. This BIOS is flawless and works like a tank. BSODS from trying to reach over 5.2, but on reboot all BIOS settings were solid. If you have RAM issues, you should be using 1.5 volt RAM on this board. I read a review stating that the Board fried the CPU, then the RAM, then the video card. Were you building your PC on a RUG? That or you bought a BAD PSU or wattage is to low. And a "bent CPU pin?" Whos fault is that... Sure, blame the board.

Cons: NONE. YES, NONE. Awesome board. Best in my humble opionion :) for the 2600k. No gimmicks, no problems, just sheer, solid performance. Built like a tank. I know cons should go here but there arent any. People give it one star for bad customer service. First off, thats unfair. Second - have you ever dealt with ASUS customer service... Bad? You'll learn the definition dealing with them. The power saving utility is cool BUT dont use it when OCing. Voltage drops occur due to power saving features and will BSOD your rig. Not the boards fault. If you have a problem with your RAM or video card, dont go and blame the board just because thats what its conected to and you dont know what else it could be. Seriously, restock this board. A solid, A+ unit for techies who really know what theyre doing... NOT an amateurs toy - and thats why there are so many "problems."

Other Thoughts: I love GIGABYTE. I LOVE NEWEGG. DON't stop stocking this awesome board. Give it a chance. Maybe reccomend that only advanced users take advantage of its BIOS features (like anyone would listen) I love the bent pin review! quote, "I removed the cpu and there was a bent pin...The cpu was never removed..." WHAT! lol. funny, funny. Love you all. Go to school.

4 out of 5 eggsOverrated...

Pros: Great looking board, found a lot of high end P67 boards to just be hideous. Great feature set with USB 3.0 and Sata 3. Led indicator is a nice touch with start/reset clear/cmos on top of the board instead of the bottom!!!

Cons: One major con... no UEFI I should of saved and grabbed the x57 version of this board :(

Other Thoughts: Overall good good overclocking features just the UEFI is a killer

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Mobo

Pros: Great connectivity and performance, I love the power button right on the board, the LED number status is very useful for debugging and overclocking. There are plenty of SATA ports for all your drives and eSATA mounts.

Cons: The software that comes with the motherboard seems shoddy and excessive. There should be a way to differentiate between the required drivers and the tweaking software that is optional.

Pros: Mainboard has good feature set and when they work they work very well.

Cons: If you have a problem with anything sold by Gigabyte don't even bother RMA'ing. Do a quick google search and you will find they most have had my same experience and have RMA'd a product to Gigabyte only to have the product returned to them in the exact same condition it was sent. If you want to run the risk that your purchas is going to work for the entire warranty period then feel free to ignore this warrning, but if you are like most and want to know that the company that sold you the product is willing to stand behind it, then STAY AWAY FROM GIGABYTE.

5 out of 5 eggsGood features, excellent performance

Pros: High number of features, performance

Cons: Unconventional slot layout - isn't there a better way to arrange your PCI/x1/x16 slots?

Other Thoughts: Just installed this motherboard and have been using it for a couple days, after having to RMA two MSI P67A-GD65 (B3) motherboards because of stability problems. This one started up with no problems and have been rock stable ever since.
