5 out of 5 eggsIt works!

Pros: No problems dealing with my i52500K
Quality Product
USB 3.0
Inexpensive

Cons: None for me

Other Thoughts: This motherboard is quality and even though it was inexpensive, it has not caused me ANY problems. I have had it around 9 months with no issues. It has plenty of slots for my needs as a light gamer.

5 out of 5 eggsGigabyte P61

Pros: Reliable
Durable
No bloatware
Hardware Monitor utility included
Automatic update software utility included

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've used Gigabyte MB's since 2005 on AMD and Intel rigs. Never once had a problem with the MB. Same thing here, it's not the fastest or has the most bells and whistles. It just works and keeps on working without issue. Lovin it Gigabyte, keep up the quality!

4 out of 5 eggsNice and easy

Pros: Great entry level MB. Worked nice and easy right out of the box. Has the basic things you need.

Cons: Pretty basic but what do you want for this price?

Other Thoughts: Buy it for an entry level PC. Dont forget the entry level video card to go with it and you will have a nice PC.

5 out of 5 eggsAn excellent budget board for the non-overclocker

Pros: Very inexpensive USB3 LGA1155 board.
Built by Gigabyte, a quality brand.

Cons: Virtually no overclocking settings.
2 RAM slots.

Other Thoughts: This is a very good entry level board for someone who doesn't overclock, or wants to use an Intel processor without a K in the name. It got the job done for me when I had 2 4GB sticks of memory and a solid single GPU I wanted to use. As long as you know what this board is capable of doing, it is a solid purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome board!

Pros: Strongly supported board for Hackintosh setup, comprehensive manual, loads of features, extensive BIOS features, solid caps, extra fan connectors than micro-ATX boards, USB 3.0 ports.

Cons: I wish the board would have modern video or audio in ports in place of the parallel and game ports, but no big whoop. One or two features from the software suite don't work with this board, but also not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: This was my first Gigabyte board after owning an older ASRock and ASUS P5B Boards from the Bay of E. I feel that the quality is excellent all around. I love the USB connector on board that allows my iPhone to charge while the computer is off.

Power users may desire 6 GB ports, 4 RAM Slots instead of 2, an extra PCI-e video card slot, and on-board video output. For the price though, this is an excellent board. I chose the ATX form factor to have addition fan jacks and am satisfied with my purchase. I could have gone to a Z68-based board as well but I enjoy trying to squeeze as much power as possible out of lower-range products.

I'm using this board with an intel i5 2400 CPU, Kingston 8 GB Hyper-X RAM, Kingston 64GB SSD (Macintosh), 2 Western Digital hard drives (Windows 7), and all the parts integrate perfectly with this board.

5 out of 5 eggsnice all around budget MB

Pros: well priced, has all the things you REALLY need. (like USB 3 and being ATX with tons of expansion slots)

Cons: lack of SATA III. they could have interlaced PCI and PCIe. (PCIe slots will become useless if you install a big VGA.)

Other Thoughts: I wonder why people rated this mother board so low. with the price of $60, you can not find a better ATX MB. what do you ask from a motherboard? fancy heatsinks for voltage regulators? super utilities for overclocking? 8 SATA connectors? well, if you are an enthusiast user, you won't be looking at this MB at first! but if you want a mother board to do the average job it intends to do, this is a very good MB from a reputed, old company. I put my system for hours under stress test, it worked without a hiccup. stability, compatibility and reliability is all I wanted and it gave me all. give it a try! it will not disappoint you.

1 out of 5 eggsBarely Usable

Pros: It was the best motherboard I could find that had a parallel port on-board.

Cons: With only the bare essentials (1x SATA2 HD, Basic Video Card, RAM, and nothing else), it will go into a restart cycle at a random point during the boot sequence when I used a 250W Power Supply. I switched to a 550W supply and that seemed to eliminate that issue. It will boot a SATA drive consistently now, but the motherboard will trigger a hard forced restart within 1 second of trying to boot any USB thumb drive.

Other Thoughts: I've upgraded the BIOS twice now in my short ownership as Gigabyte seems to be continuously finding "issues". I've contacted Gigabyte technical support and after asking me the most basic of questions, they aren't acknowledging any fault on their product. This is the last time I will purchase any Gigabyte product.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Nice simple, low cost board. No floppy controller, no IDE controller, just SATA, USB, stuff you need!

Cons: Nothing I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Seems like a nice board for the money for a simple regular use, non-gaming computer. I built with a Vertex 2 60GB system drive and a SG 1TB data drive. So far, works great, great out of the box.
