5 out of 5 eggsGreat Enthusiast board that has stood the test of time

Pros: Has everything you could ever want. HUGE board with every type of expansion you could ever need and then some. Great debug code led. Manual reset button. 4dimms. Great VRM cooling. OC monster. Awesome Color scheme, Ahead of it's time

Cons: Maybe a little large. No way it's large and in charge. Have a full ATX case to display in all it's glory.

Other Thoughts: When this mobo was originally released it was ahead of it's time. Now it supports the entire fx line and does it well. I am able to take my 8350 to 5.0 ghz on this board at 1.405 volts. prime stable, itb stable, occt stable. Keeps ram timing tight. The guy who said this auto oc'd his chip is full of it. He has some settings messed up or something. But this is the best board for overclocking I have ever had. I love the 3x power usb 3.0 ports. Charge my phone and headphones FAST without over amping them. More sata ports than almost any intel board. 4+ pcie slots. Able to run 2 3/1/2 slot cards in sli no prob. They fit and space well.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Features/Performance

Pros: lots of goodies to help bring out the power of the components. I'm finding quite useful the fact there's a power button and reset switch on the motherboard, case is a bit messed up, doesn't work.

Cons: wish when restarting computer, the motherboard didn't have to shut down, including the fans.

Other Thoughts: LAN Port is dead or fried after 9 months. Lucky has 3 year warranty and they accepted RMA to fix board.

5 out of 5 eggsAnother great board from Gigabyte

Pros: This board has been a great update from my old phenom 965/ ud5p gigabyte setup. Its been a work horse since updating and shows no signs of stopping. I'm using a 9590 and its been great. works very well with the CPU.

Cons: only issue I've had was it would randomly lock up. was fixed with turning off the CPU features like cool and quite. seams the 9590 has some issues, not surprising with a 220w tdp.

Other Thoughts: Ive really become a gigabyte fan. also bough a video card made by them and its also rock solid. highly recommend them.

1 out of 5 eggsthis motherboard is garbage

Pros: usb 3.0

Cons: everything, it fried two processors (and fx 8150 and add fx 9370), two power supplies (viotek 750 watt)(corsair 850 watt), 3 hdds, one side, two corsair h100 liquid cooling units, it seems the only thing it didn't fry was my ram and the really insert f word then up then s word is I blamed everything until I found out the motherboard was automatically over clocking everything in my computer and I didn't notice until I bought the new processor and it started overheating as soon as the motherboard updated so yeah awesome...

1 out of 5 eggsI'll Save You Some Trouble

Pros: It may be a good motherboard when it works. I wouldn't know.

Cons: The motherboard I received was dead on arrival. Unfortunately I was waiting on other parts to arrive and I wasn't able to test the mobo until I was outside of newegg's 30 day return/replacement range. =( Now I have to send it to Gigabyte at my own expense so they can fix their faulty product. I'd recommend purchasing a mobo from a different manufacturer. It will save you some time and money.

Other Thoughts: Gigabyte customer service was helpful. It's just really disappointing that I have to pay the shipping fees to send back a product that was faulty from the get go. If Gigabyte covered the cost of sending back faulty merchandise I wouldn't be upset with receiving a doa mobo.

2 out of 5 eggsGA-990FXA-UD7 Disappointment

Pros: looked amazing, loved the designer packaging, the onboard seven segment LED trouble coder mounted on the motherboard was a first for me, it was one of the things that actually drew me to it plus that it supported my new AMD+ cpu FX9590 5ghz 8 core cpu.

Cons: waited a week of anxiety and excitement in anticipation of the all time bestest motherboard that i finally chose to become mine. It arrived, i hooked it up, i saw the trouble codes for 10 seconds and then .... only the power light. the motherboard had arrived DOA. yes, dead on arrival. and now im flabberghasted. RMA time.

1 out of 5 eggsMotherBoard died after windows install

Pros: Nice motherboard, Started right up when assembled and was able to install windows with no issue.

Cons: I rebooted right after the windows install, it powered on gave the code 0d the video was not working, I tried four different video cards two brand new the other two older ones that still work in the computer they are from. I tried from every pcie slot and got nothing. It seems as if the pcie bridge just stopped working, which is weird because the video card that I have that does not have a separate power connection, powers up and the fan on it runs without a problem. I emailed support that same morning and being that it was a holiday weekend did not expect anything right away. Still have not received a response.

Other Thoughts: If it worked it would have been a great motherboard for what I wanted it to do.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Board

Pros: lots of PCI-E slots. capable of quad SLI or CrossfireX. I love the onboard power and reset buttons. This is good for testing. Could also be good for a bench board since it has an ERROR display indicator on the board and the manual has all the error codes to diagnose the problem

Cons: Cant seem to find out why my 1866mhz Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracers only read at 1333MHz.

Other Thoughts: i doubt its something to do with the motherboard since my last Gigabyte board did the same thing. Chances are the RAM is bad since the ERROR display reads 40 which means that DIMM bank 2 is bad or memory is bad in Bank 2

3 out of 5 eggsDamaged Peripherals

Pros: The board is alright; it does what is says on the box.

Cons: The USB hub in my keyboard and my gaming keypad overheated while plugged into this board. I suspect is has to do with the USB power boost feature. It's likely that the fault is mine somehow, but just be aware that it is possible. It doesn't feel good to burn up $140 in peripherals.
