108dB Signal-to-Noise Ratio Playback

GIGABYTE motherboards feature higher capability audio solutions with 108dB Signal-to-Noise ratio (SNR) playback quality to deliver high-performance, multi-channel HD audio. SNR is a comparison of the amount of signal to the amount of noise - such as hiss - present in the signal (expressed in Decibels). A higher SNR equals a better audio experience. For example, 108dB, is a high audio specification, as this means the audio signal is 108dB higher than the level of the noise.

Pros: Sleek, good design
Easy to Install
Does everything I need it to do

Cons: No Motherboard Power LED, which would have been useful when my PSU died out, but nothing to dissuade me from a full rating.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy it

Pros: Worked for 4 days

Cons: After 4 days it would freeze anything connected except the monitor and Ethernet at random times. I've failed to send it back because after hoping I could fix it by looking around google for days it could be fixed, nope. In fear of sending it back when it could have been a software issue instead of hardware, I sent it to my most trusted and reliable computer repair store. They also thought it was software, updated all drivers, and ran multiple tests. It worked flawlessly for 4 more days, but went back to hell. So after leaving it with them for 2 more weeks(became that long since I had to be absolutely sure the issue has been fixed, they came to the conclusion after switching and moving around parts that it was indeed this motherboard.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat board with one ANNOYING problem

Pros: An otherwise nice little board, very simple, but powerful and mostly problem free EXCEPT

Cons: ... the VIA 805 chip and the BIOS do not seem to play along nicely together.

If you reboot your machine, there is a high likelihood that your USB 3.0 ports will disappear from BIOS -- and thus from the OS. Ha Ha!

This has apparently been a problem for quite some time now, as far back as 2013 based on my quick Google research into the issue.

VIA and Gigabyte have thus far not come up with a solution.

STAY AWAY from anything containing the VIA 805 chip!

The only workaround is to SHUTDOWN, unplug your system, and then start it up again. Very annoying.

Other Thoughts: Gigabyte should be ashamed for putting this out on the market and failing to fix the issue for SEVERAL YEARS.

They are going to be looking forward to a class action lawsuit for the distribution of defective hardware.

5 out of 5 eggsall you need!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: more than a gamers mother board

Cons: none!!!

Other Thoughts: this board is pro this is all you need to play games of today 2015.
i see people not pleased with the two slot pci-e 16 they want more.if you do some reserch one is all you really need with the new Radeon R9 295x2 8GB 1024 (512 x 2)-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 witake the place of three gpu cards and this board can take it with good cooling.over clocking is not needed with this board it takes the FX CPU witch has very good default clock speeds on 8 and 6 cores i game and produce intense processing music i will try the fx-6300 first it has good clock speed for games and music daws most apps including games only can access 4 cores witch is all you need for todays tech. final note this board can roll with boards priced at 1000.00 intel and amd. i use amd because intel is over priced overkill!!!!!!!!!!!!! also im going with the 1600 ram i want all slots active and you can over clock the ram to 1866 with this board

5 out of 5 eggsWow!

Pros: I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm really impressed with this setup. Tons of USB and SATA ports. I'm only running this thing at quarter capability right now, but its fantastic.

Cons: Its a big motherboard, so be prepared. I'm not blind, but I had a hard time reading some of the port labels on the motherboard. Nothing to keep me from giving it 5 eggs though.

Other Thoughts: I'm definitely used to smaller motherboards, so I can say I was a little intimidated when I pulled this one out. Be sure to read the manual.

1 out of 5 eggsCant get a good one

Pros: Sleek look, and I have heard from others and seen in friends machines that it works great, when it works.

Cons: I have ordered 3 of these motherboards, and they have all arrived DOA. They provide power to the fans, but will not run the BIOS. I have talked to several professionals about the problem, and they said they have no fix for it, outside of the many things I have tried that ended in failure. Getting a hold of Gigabyte themselves for assistance was impossible as well, as they put me on hold for an hour then said they were too busy to take my call both times I have tried.

Other Thoughts: From personal experience, I would recommend saving yourself the pain of repeated failure and try to find another compatible board.

4 out of 5 eggsGood quality board, love the on/off USB

Pros: I bought this board for 3 reasons.
1) it supported my FX-8350
2) It supported dual video cards
3) it has an awesome ON/OFF USB feature that can charge devices plugged into the USB even while the computer is off.

The third item was very important for me as I have numerous wireless devices, including a Logitech G700s rechargeable mouse, a Corsair Vengeance 2100 Headset, ASUS Tablet, and Droid phone. This allows me to keep all of my devices fully charged from day to day.

Cons: Less than a year into ownership and I had 2 USB 3.0 ports die. These are not the ON/OFF USB though, just regular USB ports. After speaking with Gigabyte, they expect a 3 week RMA time period and I have to pay to ship it back to them.

Other Thoughts: Gigabyte did offer an "Advance Replacement" which means they would put a hold on my credit card for the cost of a new motherboard then ship one to me. I would then have about 14 days to return the defective motherboard to them and when they received it within that time period and verify that I hadn't done anything to void the warranty, they would remove the hold...but I still have to pay to ship it back.

This seems like poor service to me and really makes me reconsider choosing Gigabyte in the future for both personal and business use. I can't sell parts to a customer that are unreliable and then charge them even more because it failed withing a year.
