5 out of 5 eggsGreat motherboard

Pros: latest technology, ability to expand pc as needed, 2.5 hdd slot

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I built my computer with this motherboard in 2012, Have not had one problem with it. Great for what I use it for. I am not a heavy gamer (I only play the sims) and do not use it for work. I'm still expanding and adding video cars, hard drives, etc. This motherboard still takes the latest of everything.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Looks good and plenty of room.

Cons: DOA, never booted up.

For no POST/display issue, please check the following:

1. Be sure the CPU is supported by this motherboard, for CPU support list please go to the GIGABYTE website.

2. Check memory requirement and memory installation, be sure the memory is/are seated properly. You may test the board with a single stick to rule a single bad stick of memory.

3. Be sure the ATX 24-Pin and ATX 12V 4 or 8-Pin are plugged in firmly into the board.

4. Check for visible bent or broken pin(s) in the CPU itself (AMD CPU).

5. If you have an add-on video card installed, please check if the card requires additional powers 4, 6, or 8 Pin PCIE power.

6. Test the board on a non-conductive surface or test bench to rule out the grounding possibility.

7. Check monitor for video input selection, VGA, DVI, or HDMI.

8. Avoid using any video adapter or KVM switch.

9. Test with different video cable.

10. Clear the CMOS by taking out the CMOS battery from the battery socket, leave it out for 5 minutes and place it back after that (positive side faces up).

1 out of 5 eggsPure Junk

Pros: It looks nice

Cons: Although I purchased this board some time ago, I first fired it up 2 days ago. The BIOS would NOT setup properly. Optical disk drives would not run. Mouse pointer could not be moved.

Other Thoughts: Ultra Durable? Ha! What a waste of money!

1 out of 5 eggsComplete epic fail in everyway...

Pros: I can't believe this field is even a requirement. Proceed to the cons for the real story.

Cons: Not 1 DOA... But 2 DOAs! Two DOAs... I can't believe it. I was without a computer for 2 months playing the mail game trying to get this stuff sent back and fourth. Just to keep being disappointed. The funny thing was that they boards booted fine. There was massive software corruption stemming from the SATA ports. Updating bios to F7 did nothing both times. The first board slowly failed. The second was a failure right out the box. I will be staying away from GIGABYTE at this point. I should of just went intel like everyone was saying. This is what you get when you go budget.

Other Thoughts: Rip off!

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: blue circuit board, grey heatsink look good. 6 channel audio. usual great installation unlike asus, which is picky

Cons: very unstable. seems like compatibility problem.

Other Thoughts: i pick gigabyte over asus couple years back since how good it does in compatibility. very stable, always helping me having a smooth build experience. not this time. build and installation were build. but very unstable after the OS was installed, crashing and restart the system. crashing certain software. unstable running system even it didnt restart.

2 out of 5 eggsWork's well sometimes.

Pros: I had no problem putting in all of my hardware or updating BIOS when needed.

Cons: After about a month and a half, whenever I would be playing a game, all output (video and audio) would either freeze or just stop completely. Other times the picture would just go black and then the audio would cut in and out till it suddenly died. I have no idea if this is because of the MOBO or Graphics Card, but it is an ongoing problem that I am still trying to fix today without buying new hardware.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked for a while...

Pros: Lots a of features, cheap

Cons: Worked fine for a week, then while rebooting, it went idle on "Loading Operating System...". It wouldn't go passed that. I've read that it is usually because of a device in the boot sequence that lags the process. When I first got it, things were fine, then it locked up. All hard drives, memory, optical drives, etc... have all been tested on another system and all work fine. With so many others having the same problem with Gigabyte motherboards in general doing this. I don't recommend.
