5 out of 5 eggsAwesome mobo

Pros: Ran since 2011 with fx6100 , always left on. its still going strong finally did an upgrade and now turning it into a HTPC.

Cons: only cons I had was reading other people's bad reviews , never had a single problem.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's okay for a very basic build

Pros: It was easy to install and feels like it has been solidly made. It runs stable so long as you don't mess with overclocking anything on it. The price on the mother board was okay, I would go as far as to say it could have 15 dollars more. This should not cost more than 40 dollars. It is no longer made as it has been discontinued. But if you are deciding to purchase this whether it is on another site or a friend I would save you money unless you plan on using it for a low end build or Linux testing.

Cons: The cons are many, but at this price point you can't expect too much. My original intention was to use this as my primary machine and overclocking an fx 4100. Well that wen't out the window pretty quickly since overclocking on this thing is a nightmare. Could find stability on a single attempt eventually gave up and bought what I should have bought in the first place; Intel i3570k and asrock extreme4. This mobo is still in use on a 2nd machine which has now been re-purposed as home entertainment pc. It performs well in that area of computing. Definitely not a primary machine unless your needs are basic functions.

1 out of 5 eggsnot happy with gigabyte

Pros: good deal when I bought it.

Cons: First one would not power on (fans would start, then turn off seconds later, no display). Newegg was great about getting me another one quick, since it was a gift for my grandmother. Long story short, she got blue screens and buggy boot ups. After many hours of testing, I found it was Ram Slot 1 causing the problems. Since it took me a matter of months to get this sorted out (4 hour drive to my grandmother), I'm stuck with this board and frankly tired of troubleshooting. I'll avoid gigabyte for the next 5 years. I know it's a lottery if you get good parts, but I don't want to risk my time and money again on them for a while.

5 out of 5 eggsGigabyte GA-M68MT-S2

Pros: Bios is very easy to use. It unlocked my Amd Athlon II x3 3.2ghz 450 Rana INSTANTLY with no issues at all. Stressed tested it all day with no issues at all. Now its a Phenom II X4 B50 (win). So far i have had no issues whatsoever with this mobo and for the price this really was a bang for your buck.

Cons: Discontinued =[ guess people bought it for a good reason ;)

Other Thoughts: If you find this somewhere else as reliable as newegg then buy it. maybe its a hit or miss with some of these but i was very lucky with mine and it was well worth it.

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't even last 4 months!!

Pros: cheap.

Cons: After 3 months service the PC would not shut down, it kept restarting itself and reuired manually removing power cord. One month later it would not even power up. Power supply checked out OK, so it has to the mother board. What really sucks is now we will also have to buy a new installment of Windows OS too! Thanks Microsoft for your prefernce of customer care over greed!! Only wish there was an alternative OS other than Linux.

Other Thoughts: What kind of warentee is there?

5 out of 5 eggsSad it's gone

Pros: Price
Good Overclocking/Unlocking ability
It has lasted since February to now and is still kicking.
And my apple friends are jealous... that's worth two pros...

Cons: I had to update bios online to run some Activision/THQ games better. Bad optimization on their part if you ask me...

It recognized my 1600 ram as 1333 until i went into bios and changed it.

And it is not available...

Two of those were not really cons just the only things i could put here. The third thing was a con.

Other Thoughts: I'm sad to see it is gone, i would have bought many more of these to build my friends/family rigs.

I'd say with the features alone this gets 4 eggs, but the price definitely makes it 5.

My rig:
Fx 6100 OC'ed to 3.6-3.8 turbo
Sapphire 6870
HEC zephyr MX 750 Psu
this motherboard
4gb Kingston ram
Apevia JupiterX case
425GB Hard-drive

1 out of 5 eggsLousy!

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Not very fast at all! The same accessories placed on a different motherboard made the other pc soar; this one is still bogged in the mud. Within a week of ownership, had to send it back for factory repair: took six weeks! (That's how I know about the accessories on a separate motherboard.) Just slow.

Other Thoughts: This motherboard was recommended by a computer technician. The claim was that it was an awesome motherboard for speed and games: it is not.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap but not an Overclocking board.

Pros: Cheapest AM3+ board at the time I bought it.

Cons: This board cannot overclock good at all. Can't even up the mhz more than 10. Read through forums and a ton of people are having the same problem. Seems like it's a hit and miss board.

Other Thoughts: Instead of buying the cheapest motherboard, I should had bought a more expensive board that can actually overclock well.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of C R A P

Pros: Cost

Cons: Tech support is a waste of time. Had to return because using two sticks of RAM prevented boot. Took over a month to get it back. Now, the on-board graphics is defunct. All questions to tech support result in the worst grammar outside Dell Tech Support I ever had to read. I'm still not certain what was intended to be given for information. Graphics are choppy and slow. The processor is a 3.2 GHz, but the machine is slow. My Dell Inspiron 8300 is faster.

Other Thoughts: Not at all happy with my purchase. I guess I got what I paid for... My father found a MSI motherboard in the trash where he lives. I got that for free and it runs better than the Gigabyte. I can't submit this because I use the word: C R A P?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat but gone!

Pros: Worked much better than the ASUS board I was loading up at the same time.

Cons: GONE. I was trying 2 boards to see which 1 I wanted to order more of. Decided this was the better board by far. Went to order more and they are out of stock forever.

Other Thoughts: Just my luck. As soon as I find a board I like, they are gone. Guess I'll have to check some other sites now,
