1 out of 5 eggsUSB Problem

Pros: Cheap, brand

Cons: As other mentioned- USB
I thought it was my usb device causing the problem. I just happen to see the reviews and realized it's not my device causing it.

It won't boot if I had my usb keyboard mouse plugged in; but I can plug it in after the window loads up, and works fine. Because, I had to get a new set of wireless keyboard mouse.....

1 out of 5 eggsUSB problems

Pros: -cheap
-z77

Cons: CONTINUOUS problems with all usb ports. usb devices re-connect at random. sometimes plugging any usb device to any port will freeze the system and require hard reboot. Here's where it gets even better! After sending the board to gigabyte (which they made me pay for), i purchased a Z77X-UD3H board temporarily, and guess what?? The exact same issue as the first board. Its not just me, gigabyte confirmed that it was the board

Other Thoughts: My first experience with gigabyte and definitely my last. Never purchasing their products after getting 2 different models with the same issue

4 out of 5 eggsGood board

Pros: Great board, lot of features for the price.

Cons: Only issue thus far is mostly my own fault. Bought this board to use in a FreeNAS build for a co-worker. Unfortunately, I failed to research NIC compatibility. This board has an Atheros NIC, not an Intel one, as I assumed it did, and the particular model of Atheros NIC is not currently compatible with FreeBSD or other operating systems based on it, such as FreeNAS. Because of this, I had to install a PCI NIC to get the machine on the network.

That said, I'm knocking one egg simply for the fact that the board uses such a weird NIC. For the record, I did first install Windows 7 on this system in order to run hard drive tests to make sure the drives weren't DOA, and even with that I had to manually install a NIC driver for the Atheros NIC. The NIC probably works fine, just kinda bothers me when it's such an unknown one that Windows doesn't even have a basic driver available for it, makes me think that they just grabbed the cheapest off-brand NIC they could find to put on there. And yes, I'm aware that Windows can't possibly have drivers for everything, but I think this is the first time I've ever installed Windows 7 and seen where it's actually missing a pre-loaded NIC driver. Sound Blaster card missing, yes, USB 3.0 missing, obviously, but NIC, never until now. Anyway, point is, DO NOT use this for a FreeNAS build unless you are prepared to use a PCI NIC, or until there's a FreeBSD driver available for this Atheros model.

Other Thoughts: As long as you don't have any issues with using an Atheros NIC, and are using an OS that has a driver available, then I see no reason not to use this board for your build, assuming it meets all your other spec requirements. I haven't build a large number of systems with Gigabyte boards, but it's one of the better-known names in motherboards, and I have yet to have any die on me or act flaky in any way.

1 out of 5 eggswould not recommend

Pros: none

Cons: would not work wouldnt recommend

For no POST/display issue, please check the following:

1. Be sure the CPU is supported by this motherboard, for CPU support list please go to the GIGABYTE website.

2. Check memory requirement and memory installation, be sure the memory is/are seated properly. You may test the board with a single stick to rule a single bad stick of memory.

3. Be sure the ATX 24-Pin and ATX 12V 4 or 8-Pin are plugged in firmly into the board.

4. Check for visible bent or broken pin(s) in the CPU socket (Intel CPU).

5. If you have an add-on video card installed, please check if the card requires additional powers 4, 6, or 8 Pin PCIE power.

6. Test the board on a non-conductive surface or test bench to rule out the grounding possibility.

7. Check monitor for video input selection, VGA, DVI, or HDMI.

8. Avoid using any video adapter or KVM switch.

9. Test with different video cable.

10. Clear the CMOS by taking out the CMOS battery from the battery socket, leave it out for 5 minutes and place it back after that (positive side faces up).

1 out of 5 eggsGIGABYTE GA-Z77M-D3H

Pros: cheap

Cons: DOA. THIS MOTHERBOARD WAS JUNK. NEWEGG WAS SUPPOSE TO SEND ME A NEW MOTHERBOARD AND WHAT I GOT LOOKED USED AND THE PLASTIC PIECE THAT PROTECTS THE CPU WAS LOOSE HANGING IN THE SLOT. I SENT IT BACK FOR A REFUND.

Other Thoughts: IF YOU WANT A GOOD MOTHERBOARD DON'T BUY THIS ONE

5 out of 5 eggsGood quality board

Pros: The best thing about this board is the placement of the USB 3.0 plug. Unlike other boards, this plug does not sit directly butted up against the 24-pin plug. This makes wire routing and management a lot cleaner.

Cons: This board does not come with as many fan plugs as most other boards. The max amount of fans you can run off the board are 3 (1 CPU and only 2 case fans)

5 out of 5 eggsSolid budget Z77 MATX board

Pros: Inexpensive for a Z77
RAID
Good 3 year Warranty
UEFI bios easy to navigate
Dual bios

Cons: No CPU voltage control
Atheros LAN not supported by many Linux distributions yet

Other Thoughts: I purchased this to pair with a low power i5-3450S in my Amahi Server. This lead to a couple issues as Fedora 19, which is the underlying OS of Amahi, did not have drivers for the Atheros 8161. Neither does Ubuntu 12.04LTS which is required for Amahi if going a Ubuntu build. This was overcome by manually installing them, but be aware that it can be a issue if using Linux.

Otherwise, the motherboard performs as expected. 6 SATA ports and 6 on board USB is decent. Z77 offers available raid, which is why I chose this motherboard along with the fact that on sale, it was cheap.

Bios is easy to navigate and through the years, I have had no issues with Gigabyte motherboards. The 3 year warranty is nice just in case though. So far I have been running my Amahi server 24/7 with no issues, so no complaints thus far other than the fact that the CPU voltage is locked thus hurting overclocking or in my case, a desire to run even lower voltages. But for $59, this is a very solid socket 1155 motherboard.

2 out of 5 eggsNot bad but...

Pros: Price, basic features

Cons: No Linux drivers for the network port - that's unheard of these days. I could boot from the network, but as soon as my Linux install would start it couldn't find the network card. We installed on another network card, but even after install, no drivers for the mobo port.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's a great motherboard for what it's worth

Cons: I've had the motherboard for about 1-2 months, and the motherboard seems to have already failed. I initially thought it was the power supply, replaced the power supply and reset the BIOs and the computer will still not boot.

Other Thoughts: If I could get the number for Gigabyte to see what i could do here that'd be awesome.
