5 out of 5 eggsIt is a good board

Pros: The bios was easy for me to navigate throug, installation was a breeze and Windows XP installed without a hitch. The setup disc came with XP drivers except for the USB 3.0.

Cons: No cons so far...

Other Thoughts: I received revision 1.1. I was a little concerned when it arrived because it sports an 8 pin connector instead of the 4 pin which is shown in the picture. No worries, though, it all worked out.

I went against my better judgment and bought my mother a low-end Dell because she would only be useing it to surf the internet and play low graphics games like Bejeweled. The system was alright at first but then just ended up crawling because of all the Dell and Windows updates. We reinstalled the OS to factory settings and it was fine for a little while but ended up crawling again when going through the updates.

I replaced the Dell board with this board and replaced the AMD CPU with an Intel CPU. I was able to use the Dell 350 watt power supply, memory, hard drive and optical drive. I installed Windows XP and loaded the drivers from the included disc. Everything works and it works very well. It's like a brand new computer for her now.

I didn't know if the power supply would work because the one in the Dell system has a 4 pin connector and this board has an 8 pin connector. It works just fine.

I will never buy a disposable pre-built system again. It's better to go ahead and spend the money on a quality system, even if it is only going to be used for light use. I know you can get a bad anything from time to time, but I've bought several Gigabyte boards for other builds and have never had a problem with any of them. I would definitely buy this board again.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Works well and USB 3.0 is a nice touch. I was having BSOD issues these last few months but it turns out that it was a ram chip, so all the slots seem to be working fine.

Cons: There is a slight offset relative to the back panel on my case. I'm not sure if its the case or the motherboard, but it prevents all pcie cards from snuggly screwing in.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked for a few months (bought it last December). Looked good on paper.

Cons: Died after four months of service. I thought it was my video first (as the monitor refused to come out of sleep on boot), but a tech from our town's repair shop tested it and said it's a mobo that's dead

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: This was a pleasant experience. This motherboard came up the first try and has not looked back since the first post. I am using it with a Quad-Core Intel 3.2Ghz 3.6Turbo processor with 8GB of DDR3-1600 ram, windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit O/S on a 1TB SATA 6.0Gbs hard drive.

Cons: I wish it had more SATA 6.0Gbs interfaces, it has only one. It also only has one case fan power connector, those would be the only downsides.

Other Thoughts: This is a nice motherboard for the money.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: -Smart layout
-Small
-Great UEFI instead of legacy BIOS

Cons: PCI-e x16 slots are too close to the pci slots, making my dual graphics setup rendering me with a lack of any PCI slots.

Other Thoughts: Overall, this is the best motherboard possible for a budget build, I would say.

2 out of 5 eggsXMP does not work

Pros: Inexpensive. Decent feature set.

Cons: XMP will not work with current Ivy Bridge CPUs.

I suspect the problem is the BIOS is ancient. The production BIOS shipping on this board is F12 from October 2012. There is a beta BIOS F13g from November 2012.

I am running a Celeron G1610 released in January 2013. It is a 22 nm Ivy Bridge part. I am also running the very popular G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 which supports XMP.

My memory runs at 1333 and the BIOS doesn't allow me to change it. It doesn't even display an XMP option!

Other Thoughts: I have opened a support request with Gigabyte and I guess we'll see how quickly this is addressed. I'm incredibly disappointed. I don't want to have to spend a bunch of time returning the board and finding something else, and I like Gigabyte as a manufacturer. That said, it's ridiculous to have a production bios that's five months old when we've had multiple cycles of CPU released since then.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: No issues so far, it went together without a hitch, booted up and loaded OS super fast.

Cons: Only one case fan power connector,

Other Thoughts: Nice over MB, I was able to use some PCI and PCe cards I needed for other things, I would recommend it

5 out of 5 eggsAs Advertised

Pros: The board is everything is claims to be. It has been up an running as the backbone for a SOHO workstation for a few days and is perfectly stable. The Intel Small Business Advantage toos were a nice addition.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Running an Intel G2020 Ivy Bridge - compatible out of the box.

If you are looking for a solid, no fuss system with good features, then look no further.

4 out of 5 eggsGigabyte GA-B75M-D3H works well

Pros: Supports current Intel CPU and still has legacy ports for older hardware interconnection.

Cons: Support is lacking and BIOS is an ongoing work so it was not completely nailed down when I received the board.

Other Thoughts: I have a review earlier which states that I did RMA on first board. In the end, I fixed my problem my self. Due to holidays, it was over a week before I received any communication from Gigabyte Help Center. Attention anyone (especially person on here asking about LOOPING at BOOT)..> Just add a cheap video card to get your O/S installed and then you can remove the card and use on-board video. That is how I got past the issue you report that you are having.

I have had the board ON and working 24/7 for 3 months without further issues. It works as it should and I can now recommend this MB with out reservations. They just need to explain that under certain conditions that the looping will occur and how to get past it.
