GIGABYTE GA-B75M-D3H LGA 1155 Intel B75 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: This is a follow up review after changing configurations multiple times.

Great compatability. I'm using it in an ESXi 5.1 host box at home with a PERC6i raid controller. Had to do a BIOS update to get the controller to work, but Q-Flash makes that easy as can be. With 32 GB of RAM and an i3 3220 it's plenty fast for hosting VM's. I have a Server 2008 R2 DC, Server 2012 Core DC, Ubuntu Minecraft server, and a Windows 7 "jump box" VM that I access from outside my LAN from which I access my other computers on the LAN from.

Cons: Only one of it's 6 SATA ports is 6 GB/s. That's highly misleading if one doesn't read the fine details and is expecting to have all 6 high speed SATA ports for running RAIDz or something like that. I took one egg away for this reason alone.

Other Thoughts: No onboard RAID, but I suppose that's the reason it's so cheap.

Pros: Good features, reliable , affordable. Installation was glitch free.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: For bottom mounted PSUs the reach to the CPU 8 pin power connector can be a problem. Make sure your PSUs cable length is sufficient.

Pros: Easy setup and install, great price. UEFI BIOS a bit overkill but good. Never had a problem with Gigabyte boards.

Cons: None

Pros: works great as long as you have an external graphics card!

Cons: onboard graphics DOA!

Other Thoughts: This board works great and I would have recommended it. BUT, No video from the board is a BIG issue.

Pros: Easy to set up, small in my case gives more room for air to circulate.

Cons: Audio Jack crapped out on me. The driver was installed correctly but it wasn't able to detect the aux cable plugged in.

Sometimes has issues booting. Not that big of a setback. I just hold the power button for 5 seconds. Wait 30 seconds. Power on, it restarts after 5 seconds, then boots properly. This happens once or twice a month.

Pros: The bios was easy for me to navigate throug, installation was a breeze and Windows XP installed without a hitch. The setup disc came with XP drivers except for the USB 3.0.

Cons: No cons so far...

Other Thoughts: I received revision 1.1. I was a little concerned when it arrived because it sports an 8 pin connector instead of the 4 pin which is shown in the picture. No worries, though, it all worked out.

I went against my better judgment and bought my mother a low-end Dell because she would only be useing it to surf the internet and play low graphics games like Bejeweled. The system was alright at first but then just ended up crawling because of all the Dell and Windows updates. We reinstalled the OS to factory settings and it was fine for a little while but ended up crawling again when going through the updates.

I replaced the Dell board with this board and replaced the AMD CPU with an Intel CPU. I was able to use the Dell 350 watt power supply, memory, hard drive and optical drive. I installed Windows XP and loaded the drivers from the included disc. Everything works and it works very well. It's like a brand new computer for her now.

I didn't know if the power supply would work because the one in the Dell system has a 4 pin connector and this board has an 8 pin connector. It works just fine.

I will never buy a disposable pre-built system again. It's better to go ahead and spend the money on a quality system, even if it is only going to be used for light use. I know you can get a bad anything from time to time, but I've bought several Gigabyte boards for other builds and have never had a problem with any of them. I would definitely buy this board again.

Pros: Works well and USB 3.0 is a nice touch. I was having BSOD issues these last few months but it turns out that it was a ram chip, so all the slots seem to be working fine.

Cons: There is a slight offset relative to the back panel on my case. I'm not sure if its the case or the motherboard, but it prevents all pcie cards from snuggly screwing in.

Pros: Worked for a few months (bought it last December). Looked good on paper.

Cons: Died after four months of service. I thought it was my video first (as the monitor refused to come out of sleep on boot), but a tech from our town's repair shop tested it and said it's a mobo that's dead

Pros: Very quite and smooth running. All that I expected from Gigabyte.

Cons: None

Pros: This was a pleasant experience. This motherboard came up the first try and has not looked back since the first post. I am using it with a Quad-Core Intel 3.2Ghz 3.6Turbo processor with 8GB of DDR3-1600 ram, windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit O/S on a 1TB SATA 6.0Gbs hard drive.

Cons: I wish it had more SATA 6.0Gbs interfaces, it has only one. It also only has one case fan power connector, those would be the only downsides.

Other Thoughts: This is a nice motherboard for the money.
