5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Excellent layout, great feature set for price point. Easy to install and to tweak. Supports 1600 speed memory flawlessly (and above) Core unlock works very well, and supremely easy to do.
Now running an AM3 AthlonII X3 450 like a 3.5GHz Phenom Black Quad Core. Super smooth!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Great quality as usual by Gigabyte. Their products are always solid and most times even better than the perceived industry leader (Asus)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Supports 125w 8 core FX chips
usb 3 support
VRM heat-sinks
8 pin cpu 4+1 power connection
black color scheme

Cons: none yet really
sata 2 ports I guess, not a big deal really still fast with an SSD

Other Thoughts: This is a great board for a budget gamer, overclockable motherboard that supports fx-8350. Don't listen to the guy complaining about lack of pci-e 3.0 most video cards cant even fully utilize the bandwidth of pci-e 2.0 yet.

I have this setup with;
FX-6300
HD 7870 GHz Edition
8GB PNY ddr3 1333 MHz
2 Seagate Sata 2 3.5" 500GB HDD (cannibalized from external HDDs)
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD
Antec 302 case
Dual Boot Windows 7 professional 64bit and Linux Lite 2.0 64 bit

It's plays all my games very well.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for price

Pros: It's a great budget board around $50-$60 you get HDMI, VGA, plenty of USB's including 2 3.0's

Cons: Only has PCI 2.0, now I know there is only one AM3+ board the does have PCI 3.0 but it's definitely something to know before hand. also doesn't have any 3 pin fan connectors so they will have to be connected to the PSU

Other Thoughts: Overall Great board for a beginner or budget build

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Love the 4 RAM slots in a microATX board. Love being able to charge my iPad off the special usb ports. It's great having 6 SATA ports for your hard drives too.

Cons: Doesn't come with an HD audio header for your computer, so you can't use surround sound out of the box.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: -this new model support FX CPU's
-4 ram slots
-Nice overall protection
-IDE port

Cons: -little tricky if using 1600+(oc) ram
-2 fan slots
-Old style BIOS

Other Thoughts: This motherboard needs a modern BIOS, other than that great motherboard for a microATX

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good price
Front header pins match HP MoBo setup
Four ram sockets

Cons: No error indicators on MoBo
South bridge runs a little warmer then I expected
NO fan control thru Bios beyond automatic (which is full speed) and full speed.

Other Thoughts: Good motherboard overall for the price I paid. It's features are great and relate to the needs of everyday computing. What I didn't like way that I have no control over fan speed. The bios doesn't allow for direct manipulation, just a chose of full or automatic and I must say that automatic was the same as full. I tried changing the fan speed in the provided software from gigabyte, downloaded speedfan, and tried AMD overdrive; nothing. Ended up switching out my heat sink for another one that supported a much quieter fan that I don't mind running at full speed.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper Easy...

Pros: Compatible with lots of different CPU's and RAM - easy setup, Windows 7 likes it, and off we go!!! Has worked great for several months with no glitches...

Cons: None - I am going to buy another one because it works so well...

Other Thoughts: Have had best success with Gigabyte boards - there are others out there that have served well, but Gigabyte has been the longest lasting of all the systems I have built...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget board

Pros: mATX, USB 3, 8-pin EPS & FX CPU support, overclocking support

Cons: Only 2 fan headers, only SATA II / 3.0Gbps

Other Thoughts: This is a great budget board, one of the only you should consider if you're running an 8-core FX processor. This board can do basic overclocking, has an 8-pin CPU connector, and cooling on the VRM's. If you want to overclock, don't care about SATA III, and need a mATX form factor, then do NOT hesitate on this board! On top of that, I feel very comfortable with Gigabyte's warranty. I have used it in the past, and the whole ordeal was handled professionally and fast. I can't say that for all "major" manufacturers!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat board!

Pros: Everything I needed to rebuild and HP a1150y into a new, Win7-running machine. Plus USB 3.0. Installed with AMD FX-6300 and Corsair CMV8GX3M1A1600C11.

Cons: Minor. Only board Newegg had in stock that met my requirements st the time. Usually use ASUS boards, but this one is working out great so far.

Other Thoughts: Minor hiccup installing Win 7 Home SP1. Reboot loop after file copy with message "The Computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error." Had to enter the console from there (Shift+F10), regedit, and change a key value ( HKLM/SYSTEM/SETUP/STATUS/ChildCompletion) from a "0" to a "3" and reboot. Smooth as butter from there.
