4 out of 5 eggsGreat budget motherboard, with some limitations

Pros: - Supports Piledriver FX CPUs, works like a charm with the FX-6300
- Actually support 1600MHz RAM, unlike stated in the specs. I used the recently released Kingston HyperX FURY 1600MHz, the DIMMs were automatically recognized as 1600MHz and passed memtest86 without problem
- Pretty good heatsinks on the board, for a budget motherboard, and 8-pin CPU power, which means this board should be able to handle some overclocking, although my client won't overclock.
- USB 3.0, both on the back and via internal header
- For those who want to reuse old hard drives and optical drives, this board supports IDE and does include a IDE cable
- All solid capacitors, which usually helps making the board last longer
- 4 DIMMs slot, which is not always the case with Micro ATX motherboards
- Dual BIOS
- D-Sub, DVI and HDMI ports, if you plan on using integrated graphic, which is everything most users will need.
- Great looking motherboard with the latest revision, looks more like Gigabyte's recent motherboards. Has a high quality feel to it.

Cons: - Only SATA 3Gbps, so if you use a fast SSD, its performance might get limited. No problem for mechanical hard rives and should be fine with entry level SSDs
- There is only one system fan header, and it's located next to the 24-pin connector... Really? Apparently, Gigabyte didn't realize nearly every case has a fan on the back... Luckily, the fan included with the case I used had a cable long enough to reach.
- If you install a video card (which will most likely take up 2 slots), then the only expansion left is an older PCI slot, no more PCIe. I'd like to see an additional 1x PCIe slot on top of the 16x slot, next to the northbridge, like most Gigabyte AMD motherboards.
- No UEFI BIOS, which is kind of standard on every motherboard nowadays
- Latest board revision has a brown/black color scheme(The older ones were blue), but Gigabyte still ships the motherboard with the old light blue SATA cables that no longer match the board... Really?
- No surround audio jacks, which is common among budget boards. Still something to take into consideration.
- I fail to understand why Gigabyte included a IDE connector in this day and age, I really don't see any good reason to reuse a old IDE hard drive, which will be likely to be the first thing to fail in the system. And optical drives are dirt cheap nowadays. I'd much prefer gigabyte to include SATA 6Gbps ports instead.
- For like 95% of people who will buy this board, the included IDE cable will be unused and just end up in the garbage... Which is waste.

Other Thoughts: I bought this motherboard to use with a FX-600 CPU and GTX 750Ti, for a budget gaming PC for a client. I wasn't sure about this motherboard at first because it's a bit cheaper than what I normally use, but it did the job. However, it's still a somewhat limited motherboard, but it works great and will probably be reliable, which is what matters the most.

4 out of 5 eggsCapable motherboard

Pros: I've owned this motherboard for over a year now, and it's managed to keep an overvolted Phenom II x6 running for that time. Works very good for the price.

Cons: Ancient BIOS(i'm used to it by now) , blue screens every once and a while.

Other Thoughts: I got this MB on Craigslist a year ago, and i'm not sure how long he had it for. But it's still working the way it should be! I even managed to run OS X on it at one point

4 out of 5 eggsA great quality board for a budget system

Pros: A great, solid and quality board. It has that typical Gigabyte construction quality. I remember when boards in this price range were cheaply constructed. Great cooling/ heatsinks, hard caps, it just feels quality and performs great with an FX8150.

Cons: No UEFI - Apparently, this is the 5th revision of this board and still, no UEFI update. I feel like I'm setting up a board from 2003. While setting it up, it felt so old that I even questioned as to whether it would support my wife's Windows 8.1 OS...and it said nowhere on the box lol.

Other Thoughts: Again, a great board; excellent quality, I'm confident it will last years. Even were you interested in gaming on it, I'm sure you could with ease. With a couple tweaks to the bios, you could probably get 1866mhz memory to work, but I wouldn't go over that.

4 out of 5 eggsGood motherboard

Pros: well you have IDE slot on it , i never seen that on am3+ motherboard , 4 star because you only have 2 pin fan connecter but its 4-pin so its good thing ... and the main sata port connector or just underder the Video card and it make a bit trouble to connect it ...

Cons: .

Other Thoughts: but exept that everything is really good

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Excellent layout, great feature set for price point. Easy to install and to tweak. Supports 1600 speed memory flawlessly (and above) Core unlock works very well, and supremely easy to do.
Now running an AM3 AthlonII X3 450 like a 3.5GHz Phenom Black Quad Core. Super smooth!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Great quality as usual by Gigabyte. Their products are always solid and most times even better than the perceived industry leader (Asus)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Supports 125w 8 core FX chips
usb 3 support
VRM heat-sinks
8 pin cpu 4+1 power connection
black color scheme

Cons: none yet really
sata 2 ports I guess, not a big deal really still fast with an SSD

Other Thoughts: This is a great board for a budget gamer, overclockable motherboard that supports fx-8350. Don't listen to the guy complaining about lack of pci-e 3.0 most video cards cant even fully utilize the bandwidth of pci-e 2.0 yet.

I have this setup with;
FX-6300
HD 7870 GHz Edition
8GB PNY ddr3 1333 MHz
2 Seagate Sata 2 3.5" 500GB HDD (cannibalized from external HDDs)
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD
Antec 302 case
Dual Boot Windows 7 professional 64bit and Linux Lite 2.0 64 bit

It's plays all my games very well.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for price

Pros: It's a great budget board around $50-$60 you get HDMI, VGA, plenty of USB's including 2 3.0's

Cons: Only has PCI 2.0, now I know there is only one AM3+ board the does have PCI 3.0 but it's definitely something to know before hand. also doesn't have any 3 pin fan connectors so they will have to be connected to the PSU

Other Thoughts: Overall Great board for a beginner or budget build

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Love the 4 RAM slots in a microATX board. Love being able to charge my iPad off the special usb ports. It's great having 6 SATA ports for your hard drives too.

Cons: Doesn't come with an HD audio header for your computer, so you can't use surround sound out of the box.
