1 out of 5 eggsGood for a while...

Pros: Good features and performance

Cons: Support communication is nearly non-existent

Other Thoughts: USB, Sound and Network ports quit working. I contacted Gigabyte to ask if they would do an advanced exchange on the motherboard. They responded asking for the RMA number. I opened the RMA and sent them the number on 9/3/2014 along with several follow ups since and have had no reply from them. They could at least answer an email.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggspretty good

Pros: The board is good. It allows fo everything a want, 3.0 graphics card and 8+ gigs or ram. this was used for a budget build and works very well

Cons: The transfer rate is slow between the board and hard drives but to be expected with a budget board.

Other Thoughts: I don't plan to replace this board with a larger one in a year or so to allow for more ram and faster hard drives but the board is still very solid and a good purchase.

3 out of 5 eggsFollow up review 4 Months of ownership

Pros: Very good value, plenty of sata ports

Cons: the Onboard network card is dying, it will drop my internet speeds down to unusable levels (10Mbps download connection here) and on file transfers on the network I am lucky to get 50MBps. kinda wish I would have stepped up to the next price range of GIGABYTE Motherboards, my last gigabyte motherboard was rock solid, this one... not so much.

Other Thoughts: Spend a little extra cash and go into the A88X motherboards from GIGABYTE.

4 out of 5 eggsA great value, a shoddy Network Card

Pros: 1. A great value
2. Plenty of USB Ports
3. Support for AMD KAVERI* (With BIOS Flash)
4. Plenty of SATA ports
5. Ample amount of FAN ports
6. Well designed.
7. Both VGA and DVI

Cons: 1. The network card is dying, and i'm only into my 4th month of ownership.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a basic build like mine

AMD A4 4000
8GB of PC1333
500GB Drive
Onboard everything
Windows 8.1 X64 Pro

then, yes this is your board, otherwise, save a little extra cash and get the A88X Chipset series.

4 out of 5 eggsLow Cost...Sata II...Low Cost....

Pros: Low cost
Fairly decent looking
Can take some abuse

Cons: SATA II
SATA II
SATA II
SATA II
No Heatsinks on voltage regulators, it gets HOT
PCI SLOT PLACEMENT
PCI SLOT PLACEMENT
PCI SLOT PLACEMENT

Other Thoughts: So you might be wondering what's going on with the Con's section? I'll get to that in a minute.

Low Cost...Low Cost....That's what I keep saying to myself, this is a low-cost motherboard, you can't have it all. SATA II is super slow now that new hard drives are getting faster transfer rates, but it wasn't very expensive. But the downsides constantly remind you (if you're a computer enthusiast) that you purchased a low cost motherboard.

Additionally, the PCI Slot Placement is horrible (I'm so sorry for calling it that, but it's the truth) If you're going to place a PCI-express X16 slot where it won't block any slot items, place it at the bottom! Where do I put my PCI e X1 card?

Lastly, the lack of voltage regulator heatsink(s) really hurt since the board does get a bit toasty.

Overall, it's a good low-cost board, it's reliable and yes, I complain a bit too much, but all of that was enough to drop it down an egg on my review. Fix those problems and It'd be a 6 egg board.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Little Board!

Pros: Nice unit. Paired it with an A10 5800K APU and 8 gb of RAM and I ended up with a really nice computer at an economy price. Yesss! AMD seems to give a lot more bang for the buck than those other folks. IMHO, of course!

Cons: Wish it supported USB 3.0 out-of-the-box, but for the price I'm not complaining!

1 out of 5 eggsDead after 3 months

Pros: Low price

Cons: Realtek Lan, SATA II ports

Other Thoughts: I bought this as part of a combo deal and the board died after 3 months. So, I submitted a warranty claim to Gigabyte. It's now been 3 days and I am still waiting for approval. Bad board, worse customer service from Gigabyte. Stay away, there are similarly priced boards with better specs.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Totally Fine

Pros: Well all the specs are above so if you want to know that just look up there. Anyway, this is a great board, I think I got it for about 45 dollars and it's a steal. Really worth it.

Cons: Maybe an extra sata connector?

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Cheap

Cons: First board I got DOA, waiting for newegg to send me a second one.

Other Thoughts: New board came in today, will set up and hope it's not DOA as well
