5 out of 5 eggsReliable Motherboard

Pros: Bought this board a little over a year ago for my first build. Started with a i3-3220 & Windows XP with the intent of upgrading to Windows 7 Pro. Board came with all required parts, cables, disc and decent instruction book. Along with good online support for choosing memory and Newegg video tutorial, assembly and set up was flawless. The BIOS is easy to learn and the back-up is a great feature. More than adequate features for the price. The board has performed perfectly and exceeded my expectations. Recently upgraded to i7-3770K, added 8GB memory to 16GB XMP, Corsair HX750, Hauppauge TV Tuner card, Samsung EVO 250GB SSD paired with 2TB WD Black HDD. Upgrade was straightforward and no problems except for the TV tuner card which had nothing to do with the motherboard. Has been very reliable and stable.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat mobo for 9 months

Pros: Excellent Specifications for the price, many options, easy to set up, worked out of the box.

Cons: At about 9 months in, computer went to sleep and wouldn't post. Reseated ever component in the machine and it booted up again. Happened again about 4 weeks later and now it won't even post. I've removed everything to troubleshoot, but I can't even get the onboard speaker to produce a beep. I'm a bit upset seeing as though I spent $100 on this mobo when I purchased it and the price has since risen. Have yet to contact the manufacturer due to no desire to spend upwards of a month dealing with the possibility of a new board swapped out under warranty. I might still recommend Gigabyte products, but I would definitely tell people to check other comparable brands before gigabyte.

This is also the first motherboard I have ever had that has just stopped working like this.

4 out of 5 eggsNeat.

Pros: Looks nice, smells nice, didn't mug me, and works. Easy install and so far smooth sailing.

Cons: It's terrible at making omelettes.

Other Thoughts: I would have rated this product higher if I could, but I ran out of eggs and it's too late to go to the store. Overall pleased with the purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsVery quality

Pros: Works great, very easy to install, Gigabyte craftsmanship

Cons: None that I can find

Other Thoughts: Combined this with an Intel I5 3550 and 8gb of g skill ram, works great. I'm very happy, I trust Gigabyte boards and this one seems solid.

Two points I found: The upper left screw is kind of hard to reach when you're working around a CPU cooler, so be careful.

Maybe everyone else knew this, but apparently IDE went away since the last time I built a rig. So no optical drives for me, which meant I couldn't use the driver disk, which the onboard Ethernet wouldn't work without. So, just a warning, without a DVD drive you will not be able to access the internet.

Not enough to dock it any eggs though, the product description didn't include any IDE either, I'm just out of date. Great motherboard.

1 out of 5 eggsReally?

Pros: Looks pretty.

Cons: Doesn't function correctly.

Other Thoughts: Installed device correctly. Motherboard is unusable due to the fact that the video out options attached to the board seem to be not working. I get POST code indicating no video device attached no matter what device I attach or what port it is attached to. Gigabyte customer service will not respond. Assumption is that the board is bad.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: came as ordered. loved the "this box contains awesome" label on outside of newegg box. packaged very tightly so as to not move around in shipping. came with windows xp, 7, and 8.. O.O.

Cons: none that i can see

Other Thoughts: dont know how the pins could be bent on others boards, processor socket is locked down with an insane cover. maybe you should learn howto seat your cpu properly
