2 out of 5 eggsUSB Problem Ruined It For Me

Pros: I did enjoy this motherboard,
Looks nice, great features, and etc.

Cons: Not long after a month of having the motherboard, one of the USB's began malfunctioning. Now it disconnects and connects frequently giving the notification sound of ejection and insertion. So now every time I power on my computer I have to deal with the sound on/off all the time.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Motherboard

Pros: Lots of USB 3.0 ports, SATA ports, and easy BIOS configurations. Very sturdy PCB and spacious to work with.

Cons: Wish this board included Wifi but no biggie.

Other Thoughts: If installing aftermarket fan coolers, be sure to watch out for RAM stick clearance - suggest buying lowprofile sticks. Otherwise, stock CPU fans and other watercoolers should be no problem.

5 out of 5 eggsOUTSTANDING!!!!!

Pros: Great Features: 8 SATA ports, 8 USB 3.0 ports, Onboard Power and Reset Buttons, Onboard Voltage Read Points, LED Debug Display, Switchable Dual BIOS, Sensible Expansion Slot layout and bandwidth configuration, Effortless overclocking.
Gorgeous looks

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: This is yet another great motherboard from Gigabyte. My love affair with Gigabyte motherboards began with the GA-8IHXP, and since then I've always used Gigabyte motherboards for my custom builds.

This time around I wanted to build a LGA1155 workstation to handle my CS6, iZotope RX Advanced and TradeStation 9.1 applications. The GA-Z77X-UD4H was the perfect choice. Gigabyte "4" series boards (UD4, UP4, etc) have traditionally provided a lot of bang for the buck from a features and performance standpoint, and the GA-Z77X-UD4H is no exception. With 8 SATA ports and 8 total USB 3.0 ports there are more than enough options to satisfy even the most hardcore storage geek. The layout of the BIOS is very intuitive and provides comprehensive tweaking options, making it easy to maximize the performance of your CPU and RAM. And when it comes to maximizing performance the GA-Z77X-UD4H will not disappoint. I can easily run my i7-3770K @ 4.7GHz, but for 24/7 use I run it at 4.4GHz using 1.160 Vcore. It was incredibly easy to attain this performance with the GA-Z77X-UD4H. The board maintains very stable voltages and runs very cool.

Bottom line... The GA-Z77X-UD4H is an excellent choice if you want a performance oriented LGA1155 build without breaking the bank. It gives you outstanding performance, practical features, classy looks and great value for the dollar. It's Gigabyte at its best. Buy it!

My Raid 0 read/write speeds doubled in performance when i went from an OEM motherboard to this Motherboard.

Cons: Does not have built in WiFi or Bluetooth

Other Thoughts: This is my second Gigabyte Motherboard and I am pleased with the last minute decision I made to buy this one over the Asrock Extreme 4 mobo I was looking at. I went with this because at the time it only had 40 or so reviews and 5 eggs and it had one good review after another and Asrock seems to be hit or miss as far as quality with so so customer service and I remember my very first build was with a Gigabyte Motherboard and I remember that being a good motherboard with no problems at all and I can say the same for this one. It booted up just fine and is a nice stable quality made mobo. It is easy to think that Gigabyte is a cheap off brand manufacturer but ask anyone who has experience in using Gigabyte products they are an excellent quality manufacturer that deserves a good rep. My first build was inspired by the idea of having a PC that would push Battlefield 2. The Nvidia 6800 Ultra had just come out not too long before this first build and my very first PC I bought from Radio Shack was a Compaq Presario PC with a "top of the line" 1.8GHz CPU and a 64mb dedicated graphics card that could push Half Life 2 but not BF2. So I immersed myself in all things computer parts and I had seen a Xion brand computer case and power supply on sale for 40 dollars and I thought to myself all I need is a motherboard, a graphics card, a processor and some DDR 400 Ram (yes DDR 400 not DDR2 or DDR3 but DDR 400) and so I slowly saved up my money and I had seen this Gigabyte motherboard on sale and I got that for like 90 dollars and some change and then I got a graphics card which at the time PCI Express was a new format for graphics cards, I found a Socket 939 AMD CPU and before I knew it I had everything I needed to build my first PC and I was nervous I researched and researched and I read and read and I asked the sales rep at a computer store what to do and he said "just put it together" and I said "thats it?" and he said "yes and put a copy of Windows XP in the dvd drive and thats it." So I went home and I followed the Gigabyte Motherboard instructions to a T, which by the way are nice and detailed, and so finally the moment of truth came..... I pressed the power button and everything started booting and then I put Windows XP in the dvd drive and then restarted and configured the BIOS to boot to the dvd drive first and hard drive second and sure enough Windows started installing and it was VICTORY!!!!! I was so happy!!! Then after that I wanted better performance so I eventually got a better graphics card, next I got a better CPU which was a single core AMD Athlon CPU then I read about Raid 0 and when I did that i had seen a performance boost better than when I upgraded my CPU doing Raid 0 made a huge difference in performance I could click on files all day long and my computer wouldnt blink it was awesome!!!! All things considiered I highly recommend Gigabyte it is an excellent manufacturer and I dont see any reason why you shouldnt give it a try.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Mother Board!

Pros: Excellent Return on the $$$ Invested. Excellent Layout. Excellent Back Panel Design. 6 USB 3.0 Ports. Two E-Sata III 6.0 Ports. Excellent Visual Design. Nice Heat Sinks. Four PWM Case Fan Headers. Sky is the Limit on the OC of the Board. All Depends on your Hardware, Cooling, and Talent!

Cons: Gigabyte Has Several Issues and they Need to Correct Them to Remain Competitive VS ASUS in The Future.
The Easy Tune Six Software is a "Joke" and needs to be "Trashed".
They Need some type of on board 1 Button Overclock ability like MSI Genie. Yes....Any type of "Auto OC " settings need better control and lower voltages used such as on the CPU....Unless you wish to fry your CPU! Last the 3D Bios Sucks. The "Mouse" is out of control and it is too slow. Just Stick with the Advanced BIOS and Make Your Own Adjustments. The Advanced BIOS has all the settings you need!

Other Thoughts: The Board is an Excellent Cost Effective Platform for the Overclocked Core 5 or Core 7 system! Gigabyte needs to "Fix" the "Cons" stated.......So lets get with it boys........

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great config options, love the easy to access voltage checks as well as the bios troubleshooter built onto the board. Voltages accessed via software corresponded withing 1-2% to multimeter readings (easily within the margin of error for either device).

Cons: No current complaints.
