3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: when it was running it ran like a champ

Cons: after a few months my memory modules just flat out gave out and now I am pretty sure the whole board gave out. I'm pretty sure it was just a defect and I was just unlucky but it still happened.

3 out of 5 eggsOnboard video sparkling pixels.

Pros: Worked like a champ from the get go, have had no problems for almost 6 months. Plenty of USB/etc. On the Hackintosh list. Still working fine aside from one glaring issue.

Cons: Onboard video seems to have blown up on me, apparently from trying to play a 6 year old 3D game. The game ran beautifully, no evidence of overtaxing the video. but after a few minutes I saw the problem and exited the game; the pixels remained in the windows desktop.

Rebooting solved the problem, but the issue returned once a couple days later, while working only in windows desktop, no games. The MB is dust free and in a nice high airflow case etcetcetc; I don't think it's a heat issue.

I eventually plan to pick up a nice video card if a game that doesn't look stupid ever comes out, but I'm not going to be forced to buy one due to failing motherboard video on a relatively new piece of hardware.

Other Thoughts: It seems bad that 5 months after buying it's now listed as out of stock likely never to return.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Overall good quality, many ports, usability

Cons: Assembled with PowerColor AXR9 280X 3GBD5-DHE Radeon R9 280X with Windows 8.1 it has some defect: after entering into sleep mode the system turns off the monitor and does not turn it back without complete system shut down.
Even reset button does not help.
It might be GPU's problem - I don't know exactly.

2 out of 5 eggsHigh defect rate

Pros: Lots of PCI-E options and a PCI slot make this the ideal board for our higher-end DVR and NVR RAID systems. USB 3.0 is good for external storage or for adding more video outputs.

Cons: No PC speaker headers. Two out of seven boards DOA.

Other Thoughts: We have purchased 7 of these boards to build higher-end DVR and NVR systems running 4th generation i7 CPUs. Out of the 7 we have purchased, both of our two latest boards have been DOA. All other system components turn on as they should, but there is no video.

We literally spent 2 days swapping out power supplies (Corsair 650w, Antec 650w), video cards (Radeon 1GB PCI-E x16), SATA hard drive enclosures, DVD burners, CPU, RAM, SATA cables, disconnecting cables and reconnecting them... NOTHING. The only difference I saw was when using the Corsair 650w on these last two boards, the CPU fan would turn on and off and on and off, but the Antec 650w continuous would run the system without this issue. Still didn't get video with the Antec on the most recent two boards.

We ultimately swapped the boards to an MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming board, and it came up on the first shot.

To check error / POST beep, please connect PC speaker to PC speaker header within F-PANEL header bracket close to bottom right cornet on motherboard.

3 out of 5 eggsGood motherboard, but a few cons

Pros: Good solid build quality
6 USB 3.0 Ports on the back and 2 x2 USB 3.0 Headers
Came with 4 SATA connectors
Changing BIOS settings with the UEFI interface was easy

Cons: One of the USB 3.0 headers had several broken pins
Date wouldn't change in BIOS setup (has to be set with an OS)
No FireWire
Came with a few scratches out of the box, but luckily it still worked

Other Thoughts: If you're thinking of buying this motheboard, you should. Overall, it was worth it.

1 out of 5 eggs2nd DOA

Pros: Looks neat? Comes in a nice box?

Cons: 2nd board (got an RMA from Newegg, which was painless) that is DOA. Both power on for a second or two, then shut off. Then they come back on again. No sound from the internal speaker, no post. I guess it's time for a switch (and I've loved gigabyte boards, and used them on my last 2 builds before this with no issues).

Other Thoughts: I'm using an i5 4590s, and can't find any bent pins or issues with the CPU. I've reseated it a couple of times with absolutely no luck.

Manufacturer Response:

1. Be sure both ATX 24-Pin and ATX12V 4 or 8-Pin are firmly connected into the board.

2. Check the chassis power switch to make sure it's connected to the "Power Switch" pins on the front panel header, please see user manual for the exact location of the power switch pins.

3. Power up the system by making contact the power switch pins with a paperclip.

4. Disconnect additional components or hardware to see if the system is able to power on with the minimum system configuration.

5. Test the motherboard on the test bench (outside of the computer case) to eliminate the ground issue.

6. Try another power outlet or bypass any battery backup system.

7. If possible, test the power supply unit in another PC to ensure it is in working condition.

8. Attempt to test different model of power supply unit to rule out PSU related possibility.

1 out of 5 eggsFix the memory issues!

Pros: Overabundance of USB 3.0
Solid onboard video

Cons: Can't use fully populated memory slots! This is a well known issue that has not been addressed by the vendor. Requesting RMA's for a motherboard (rendering your system useless) results in the same issue occurring on your replacement! Check the review posts before you buy this one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Gives me everything I want in a motherboard. It gives me a fantastic upgrade path with the LGA 1150 socket. Starting out with a Pentium G3220 and I will eventually work my way up to an i5 or i7.

All connections were easy to make and installation was simple. Lots of documentation and driver support.

The bios is great and very easy to use.

Setup:

Intel Pentium G3220
This motherboard
2x2GB G.Skill 1600 RAM
300W Power supply (Seasonic)
Antec One Case

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My only hiccup was with the main power supply connector (this very well could have been something wrong with my power supply, though). It was hard to push into the slot and nearly impossible to get out.
