5 out of 5 eggsSolid mITX board with plenty of features

Pros: Excellent feature set on an mITX board. Very quick bootup with an i7 and SSD (not all motherboard boot times are equivalent, even with the same CPU and SSD/HDD). Dual gigabit LAN (although, uncertain why). Use of full-sized DIMMs for DDR3 is quite nice as most people transitioning to SFF cases often want to move their i5/i7 and DDR3, as well. This motherboard allows a better transition path for the end user wishing to make this switch to a small form factor on a reasonable budget. USB 3 is quite nice, and have been pleasantly surprised by the onboard audio thus far (Realtek).

Cons: Not many cons, but the board layout could use some improvement. For instance, USB 3 and audio headers could be better served at the front end of the board instead of the back and sides, but this is really only relevant based on your case layout. Small board requires a well thought out CPU cooler as most larger coolers will not fit next to the PCI-e slot which will likely be occupied by a graphics card.

Other Thoughts: Moved from an ATX, i7, nvidia SLI setup in a large tower to an mITX cube using a Corsair Obsidian 250D. So far have been very pleased with the build. I love the small, compact and powerful build possibilities using mITX.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate to Earlier Review

Pros: I previously had problems with customer service "loosing" my RMA requests. After leaving a negative review I was asked to contact customer service to resolve. I pulled the board out of the trash and mailed it to Gigabyte. I admit some trepidation that I might just be throwing good money after bad, but 2 weeks later the board was returned repaired. Now that I have it working, I am quite happy with it. I particularly like that it is a mini-itx board with 2 HDMI ports. Running two or more monitors is becoming the norm and it is great that this board supports this configuration right out of the box. I see less value in having 2 LAN ports on a desktop board, but they are there and they work fine (although I would be happy to trade 2 realtech ports for one intel lan port) Finally, having 2 rear USB3 ports and a USB3 header is another plus.

1 out of 5 eggsNO RAID

Pros: It worked

Cons: NO RAID

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a complete MB, DO NOT BUY THIS ONE. It does not have RAID!!!.
What is the point of Teaming NIC card and not providing ability to RAID Disks? The worst motherboard I ever bought.

1 out of 5 eggsFirst Problem with a Gigabyte Board

Pros: Probably, like most gigabyte products a good board - certainly had all of the features I wanted.

Cons: After setting up 50 or more systems over the last couple years using exclusively Gigabyte products, this one came with a broken anti moisture pack broken inside the anti-static bag. The little clear beads were in everything. Despite using bottled air to dislodge the beads one managed to wedge itself in the CPU socket and bend a couple of pins when the CPU was installed.
I wasn't sure if this would be covered under any kind of warranty, but I submitted and RMA request and asked for a "ruling" Rather than respond to the RMA they just deleted it, and the one I submitted again thinking the first was a mistake. If they had responded that it was my fault for not finding the errant bead and denied the RMA request I would have been disappointed but not upset, However just ignoring the request was not expected and not very professional. As a result, I ordered 3 motherboards last week for a new project and switched to MSI products.

Other Thoughts: Customer support can be a tricky thing - as a consumer you can have a good experience with a product over and over, but one bad customer support experience can loose an otherwise happy customer.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Solid

Pros: - Solid feeling motherboard
- Dual Ethernet ports
- Pretty decently equipped
- WLAN card options
- Raid options

Cons: - Motherboard and case layout put the 24 pin main connector right in front of my TFX powersupply's intake fan.

Other Thoughts: - Being used to run a server.

4 out of 5 eggsGood deal but drivers suck

Pros: Great board for the money. Has all the features you'll need for a media center PC. Feels solid, and the BIOS is pretty good.

Cons: Glitched USB 3.0 Drivers on clean Win 7 64bit SP 1 install.

Other Thoughts: I got this from another website for cheaper, but figured I'd throw in a review here since I shop newegg alot, and this might help others out. Do NOT install the USB 3.0 drivers on a clean Win7 SP1 64bit install. Install all other drivers and use the USB 2.0 to hook up mouse/keyboard. Make sure you install all updates for Windows, and once you have done that then install the USB 3.0 driver (if you already installed, just open device manager and delete the USB 3.0 driver). I installed it right away and Windows would not shut down. Then I proceeded to try to update Windows, but I couldn't shut down. Long story short: It ended in a blue screen at start up and I had to wipe and start all over. So install all other drivers (preferably from their website because the ones on the CD could be outdated). Do NOT install the USB 3.0 drivers (not even from their website). Update Windows completely (keep checking until Windows says you are up to date). Then install the USB 3.0 driver and restart.

4 out of 5 eggsGemstone

Pros: Nice motherboard. My unit is very stable and you would not know it was an iTX. It performs as nicely as a mATX or ATX board. Motherboard booted first time with no crazy errors or bios doomsday messages.

Cons: I have not experienced any Cons. I had some USB 3 driver load issues but I have seen them before. You might have to load the drivers more than once. Eventually they load - it reminds me of early computer manual driver installations. I would like to have 4 memory slots but I suppose small means only 2 slots. Built-in wireless would be handy but it is not critical for this build -- my first iTX creation.

4 out of 5 eggsBlack Pearl

Pros: Two LAN ports, USB 3.0 rear and 20 pin USB 3.0 header for case front. Two HDMI ports, no VGA. UEFI bios with 3d feature. PCI-EX 3.0 ready. Runs Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge, both socket 1155. Seems stable. Started up with no issues. NIce padded/layered I/O plate for motherboard.

Cons: My only trouble was getting the USB 3.0 drivers to load or be found. The drivers existed with a clean Windows 7 install and then disappeared when I loaded the motherboard DVD drivers for USB 3.0. After playing around and updating my Windows 7, the drivers appeared and worked.
Also you need to load the NIC drivers -- Windows 7 did not find them. But they load easily and work fine.

Other Thoughts: This board does what I hoped it would do. Bios is loaded with all kinds of options. Seems to be a solid little iTX motherboard.

Not sure why people try to save money and buy an average priced motherboard and then cry the hardware will not overclock. Idea - spend the money to get the motherboard that is designed to OVER CLOCK - those cost more. You know that right?

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Mature chipset; USB3 header; PCIx 3.0; mini PCIx; dual HDMI; dual LAN; Solid Gigabyte performance

Cons: Newegg wasn't 1st in having this item in stock. Socket 1155 ran out of track already.

Other Thoughts: This is not an overclocking board. The B75 chipset is a solid no nonsense setup. The build quality is typical Gigabyte top tier. This is a fantastic board for nearly any build, in this form factor, not aiming at severe overclocking. The full PCIe 16x, 4 SATA and great CPU compatibility sets it in line for business or pleasure.
