5 out of 5 eggsGreat motherboard. Have had it for 1 year now and have had no issues what so ever

Pros: The BIOS is very easy for OC'ing my AMD FX-8320 to a stable 4.5 GHz at stock voltage 1.3625V with a Cooler Master Seidon 120V liquid cooling system. The VRM's do not overheat like some of the other AM3+ boards within the same price range.

Cons: No cons that I can think of

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this board to anyone who likes to push their system.
Just like anything electronic wise, if your stuff works when it arrives, then you got lucky and if it arrives DOA you send it back to the manufacturer or Newegg if applicable. Gigabyte customer service and tech support are very good if an issue arises or just have a general question

1 out of 5 eggs Disappointed

Pros: May be is good with different type of memory, but not with the HyperX FURY 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 received like combo with this motherboard

Cons: I have a lot a problems with this motherboard and memory.
I receive it like a combo:GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3P and HyperX FURY 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866.
My system froze every time.
I set-up my memory to run to a lower frequency.
I tested for 1600 MHz, but still froze.
After I tested for 1333 MHz. It is more stable but is frozen when you do the internet steaming.

Last try was 1066 MHz. Finally I have a stable system.

2 out of 5 eggsTurned my mother off to custom built PC's forever.

Pros: Good price for a board, got it about a year ago on sale. Solid construction, and honestly every port is operational.
Gigabyte's customer service has always been kind to me, and I love them for it.

Cons: Will not run more than an hour without freezing and locking up. My mother has lost important information and work related documents due to this issue. I've built a good number of PC's, and am even running a fully custom water loop in my X-99 build. Don't let this one bad example ruin your thoughts on Gigabyte. I have had rock solid products with the SOC-Champion and other boards through them. This one is just a very interesting example of technological issues. It just will not work. Steer clear and get yourself a more expensive board, one that doesn't give you unneeded headaches.

Other Thoughts: Honestly no. I cannot recommend this board. I love gigabyte. They have been incredibly kind to me in the past. I will remain a loyal customer in the future. I just cannot justify getting this board (Or any for that matter) that does not offer rock solid performance.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy.

Pros: None. Nothing good is to be had here.

Cons: Board has a fault causing ram errors. I could forgive that, maybe I just got unlucky with a bad board, but Gigabyte's customer service is atrocious; A ticket submitted to their website has not been responded to, and phone calls placed to them go unanswered.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty stable board and good for OC..

Pros: Newegg sent me the rev 2 board. So far...no complaints. I could overclock my FX6300 to 4.3 GHz, under 1.425v. The board is pretty stable. I swapped the board with Win10 installed and everything else is working fine. Just ran Fallout 4 for few hours at Ultra setting. No reboots. No freezing up. I bought the board when it was on sale, $69.

Cons: Not that I know of.

Other Thoughts: Here is an update after using the board for about 2 months. It froze this morning and I couldn't bootup to Windows 10 ever since. Not even booting up using the Windows repair disk. The system would either freeze up or rebooting itself just when you think it is booting up to Windows or the Recovery console. Everything is new in my system, including the PSU and the WD HD. I haven't added any hardware at all.

To make things worst, Newegg isn't honoring their replacement policy because I have already used the UPC sticker for the rebate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, I have to deal with Gigabyte itself. I just requested the RMA number from them and don't expect to get a replacement board for few weeks. I still need another board. Probably won't be getting another one from Newegg...you know what I mean.....

2 out of 5 eggstempered disappointment

Pros: still worked all this time while being defective gotta give it some credit. got it in june or july of 2015

Cons: as soon as i up graded to 2 8g sticks of ddr3-1866. while streaming or using a video player the system would lock up. every time with out fail. i advanced RMA the rma stic tried all different configurations for the ram stick. same problem. I had a thought and put all three sticks of 8g ddr3-1866 and that seemed to fix the problem. But now looking at my system specs i only have 16g of ram available. and still get random lock ups. after i up graded video card the locking up in video player and streaming also went up.

Other Thoughts: i gave it a chance after all the review. kinda skews my view after getting a defective. still works tho. gets kinda slow and bogged down at times. i wont be recommending this model.
