GIGABYTE On/Off Charge technology allows you to charge your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch regardless of whether your PC is on, in standby mode or even off. A derivative of GIGABYTE's highly acclaimed 3x USB Power feature, On/Off Charge enables devices to draw more current from GIGABYTE motherboard USB ports than standard USB ports allow, so that charging from your PC can be as fast as with a charger.

ErP Lot 6 support

The ErP (also known as Energy-Related Products Directive) is part of the European Union's environmental regulations policy. 5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Where to begin.
I bought this for my new PLEX media server and i chose it for the 3 pci slots and 8 SATA ports, the USB 3 header and the
I paid $75 and i feel i got a deal. I connected up my (6) WD black 2 TB HDD in a raid 10 and the Raid setup was very simple and easy. Before putting this online i failed a drive on purpose and then added it back as the hot-spare and the rebuild commenced automatically, There is also a windows and linux based gui to manage the RAID from inside the OS. What else would you want.
The Build went well, everything laid out well on the board. The board shipped with the latest bios, i know wow right, It is not as wide as my other ASUS boards, which game me a little more room for wire mgmt with so many drives it came in handy.
There are 3 sys fan controllers and all came be configured in the bios. I used a pair of SSD corsair force as my boot drive in RAID 1, i had to add the drivers before windows 8 install, but that was pretty straight forward. My crystal Disk mark shows me over 400MB/s on reads and that is fast enough for me. My data drives are showing over 200MB/s and I can’t be more pleased. I used the low power AMD Kaveri A8-7600 and it pairs up nice and runs cool with this board.
I have had ASUS, biostar, and ASRock. i have had zero trouble with these quality gigabyte boards.

Cons: Hmm.. Not worth dropping an egg, because i love this board. 6 of the SATA ports face up not at right angle which would make wire mgmt a bit neater. The sys fan pins are between the PCI 3 slot and the CPU, so i have to run the wires across the board, how else can you get to the middle. I knew all this going in, but me just being picky

Other Thoughts: Gigabyte great product, great bios, posted first try, if you can find a better FM2+ mobo for under $75, good luck

4 out of 5 eggsDecent MOBO for the price

Pros: Decent motherboard with integrated graphics.
Looks good
Black=Neutral color
Decent software

Cons: Weird size, about 2 inches of the mobo is not able to be secured to the case; other people have mentioned this in previous big deal to me. (its not like im going to be doing rough activities with my computer)

Other Thoughts: Bought this for my wife's computer build. She wanted something to work from home with (coder) and can do some light gaming (minecraft).
It runs light games flawlessly paired with the quad core A series APU (processor)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Bought this board to rebuild a family PC. It worked out of the box and hasn't given me an issue for a year.

Cons: None, other than I had to buy a new PSU due to the age of the old one not having a compatible power connector and that isn't the fault of the motherboard.

Other Thoughts: Used this for a parent PC. I would recommend it for an inexpensive build.

1 out of 5 eggsAnd yet, another dead one

Pros: If you are some lucky person and get one that actually works for longer than a month, it will be a good motherboard.

Cons: Here is some cons for all of you thinking of buying this:
-Gigabyte will NOT replace it: they will REPAIR it. read carefully on their support section before buying this
-The repair process will be sloppy: my first one came back with many loose screws
-Gigabyte support website seems buggy: it kept saying I was already registered when I was not. To go around this, you will have to make some "mistakes" in your name or street address. Only changing your e-mail address will not work.
-For canadian customers: you will have to send it back to the United States, meaning extra shipping.
-Also for canadian customers: you will be charged internationally if you try to call them (maybe I am wrong on this one: I could not find any 1-800 number)

Other Thoughts: I ordered two motherboards from this model. They both worked with the same CPU, but different RAM, PSU and SSD. Both worked fine for about a month, then both went dead in the same week (black screen at boot, no post, no BIOS setup). I sent back the first one early September (it cost me $37), and they received it the 8. One week later, they shipped it back and it came in today (September 23). It is still NOT working: video ports all seem undetected. Plus, as a bonus, many heatsink screws were pretty loose: what a sloppy repair, Gigabyte. I was about to send the other one, but I will not waste my money on this company anymore. I am now very frustrated, having wasted about $360 on this garbage. Thank you very much Gigabyte for wasting my time, my energy, and my money (understand the sarcasm here).

5 out of 5 eggsDecent mainboard for the price

Pros: GigaByte apparently did not try to save money on the expense of quality, wise decision, reminds me of the long gone Abit (R.I.P.).
The board is not an overclocker's dream, but it comes with sufficient OC features and I did manage to push an A10-7700K to 4.3GHz with an old budget CM Hyper TX3 and stock core voltage. More than good enough.

Cons: Placing both PWM regulated SYS_FAN connectors to the back of the board was a very poor decision, it makes it impossible to plug in fans located in the front of the case without an extension.

Other Thoughts: As someone else mentioned, the board is not regular ATX size, it is somewhat shorter. As a result, it doesn't reach the front row of mounting points, the front of the board just hangs in the air so one must be careful and use the other hand to support the circuit board from behind when the ATX power cable is connected to avoid damage. (I wonder how many of the DOA complaints might be a result of this issue...)

2 out of 5 eggsDOA???

Pros: Overall seems like a good board.

Cons: Pretty sure it is doa.

Plugged everything in, checked ram and all that stuff, No mobo lights come on on boot or video (not using a gpu right now), but fans start and I get a hard drive light on the case.

I'll edit the review if this gets fixed or I get a replacement board, I just want to get this build finished.

Other Thoughts: Accidentally wrote this review on the ga-f2a88xm board oops

5 out of 5 eggsGreat MoBo, Great Price

Pros: Incredibly durable design, perfect mid level specs

Cons: If this is even a con, board mounted power connection makes in case cable management a little difficult with bottom mounted PSU.

Other Thoughts: I got this board to run as an Network Video Recorder. Gigabyte has always been in my top 3 boards to buy, but this one seals the deal. Not only can I run this board in a dirty, potentially humid environment on a nearly constant basis, I know that it will keep on trucking. The back up BIOS and long lasting design are perfect for the person that has server application with a desktop budget. I immediately went and bought another LGA 1500 board of the same type to use as an office machine. Anymore, companies build products that are designed to fail. Good job Gigabyte for building a product that will last and offering it at a price that the EveryMan can afford!

5 out of 5 eggsFirst Build - Sturdy MB

Pros: Works great! No problems detected.
Using A10-7850k, overclockable but leaving it on stock speeds.
BIOS is nice, easy to navigate.
PCIe x16 for future graphics.
USB 3.0 slots.
Awesome aesthetics.

Cons: None so far. Although I wish AMD made more dual PCIe 3.0 slot FM2+ MBs, but I digress.

Other Thoughts: Being part of my first computer build, I have to say this thing is neat. I don't have anything else to compare it with, especially since every other computer I've owned were hand-me-downs.
Here's my build:
-Gigabyte GA-F2A88X-D3H Motherboard
-AMD A10-7850k APU
-Single HyperX Savage 8GB DDR3 2400 RAM
-Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO cooler
-NZXT Source 220 case, black
-used Cooler Master 600W power supply
-used hard drives

4 out of 5 eggsDead on arrival

Pros: Looks solid, heavy, lots of things to read, good price, no visible damage

Cons: Completely dead on arrival. First item i've ever gotten dead(and totally dead is a fast symptom), so i'm not too upset. Swapped a working psu, bypassed the case button, wont even get fans to work. Either it wasn't tested, or damaged in some part of the shipping process.

Other Thoughts: Assuming the second board isnt DOA and it works like advertised, id give 5 eggs, just be careful if you are on a deadline to build something. premier rma service is great though

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Good deal, especially with rebate. Liked the protective coating on the board circuitry.

Cons: Arrived dead, no video, tried with multiple monitor connections. All new parts for a new system build. Not happy.

Also, was shipped rev. 3 instead of the current 4(?).

Other Thoughts: I guess this is what you get for gambling on a board that has several DOA reviews.
