5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: 88x Chipset with Kaveri support out of the box..
No BIOS update required.
Extra thick.. Seems pretty sturdy..
4 RAM slots on a micro ATX board is pretty awesome..

Cons: Could've went with the 78X chipset since I don't plan on using more than one discrete GPU in this build.
I didn't find that out until after I bought the thing. However, there isn't much of a price difference between the two chipsets so... Really not much of a con. And definitely not a con for the board.. The board is great! I'm just giving you an idea of how dumb I am.. :)

Other Thoughts: Only has two case fan connectors on board..
So when you are looking at a case, be sure if you have more than two fans that the remaining ones have a pass through.. Otherwise, you could be in for a headache. Wasn't a problem for me.. Just something I noticed.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks for me just fine.

Pros: Don't be fooled by the low price. It is a good motherboard for the money.
I purchased this MB as part of a combo with an AMD A10-7850k and 8GB of G.Skill sniper 2133Mhz Ram. As the price for these three items fell below $300, it became too difficult to pass up.
Assembly was pretty easy (except when I seated the CPU), and the computer posted the first time I pressed the power button. I didn't need to use another CPU to update BIOS. Apparently this MB will work if it has the F4 BIOS version or newer.
The layout of the motherboard seemed pretty logical, as the headers for the Front I/O port and SATA cables made it easy for good cable management. I had no trouble installing the RAM after installing a Cooler Master Hyper 212 plus. The board is also pretty thick, which makes it less stressful when mounting the MB to the case. There is little to no flex in the board, and will likely hold a large discrete graphics card just fine.
This board also seems to overclock the CPU well. I currently run the CPU's four logic processors at 4.0 Ghz, and the eight graphics processors at 900Mhz. I'm sure I could overclock the system a bit more, but I don't need to since I only do light gaming. It runs pretty cool, quiet, and stable at 30 degrees Celsius, more or less, and I want to keep it that way.

Cons: As others have stated, there isn't a whole lot of bells and whistles on this motherboard, but if you're looking for that, look for a full atx motherboard that has them.
There is only one HDMI output, along with one DVI and one D-Sub output. If you have three monitors that have one of each, you're in luck, but then again, you might as well buy a discrete graphics card if you're going to use that setup.
There are two USB 3.0 ports, as well as four USB 2.0 ports on the back. That could be a problem if you have a boatload of peripheral devices. But for the average budget-builder, that shouldn't be a problem at all.
The BIOS is feature-rich, but a bit confusing. It also is a bit sluggish if you use the mouse to navigate through it. Other manufacturers seem to build more streamlined BIOS for their motherboards. It takes a little getting-used-to, but works just fine.
For some reason, I cannot charge my iphone off of the USB 3.0 ports. I probably have a problem with the drivers, and need to find an updated version. When I do, I'll write another review.

Other Thoughts: Some people have complained about there being no heat spreaders or pipes for the MOFSETS on this board. I don't see this as a problem because I don't need to push my computer too hard.
For those of you who have a hard time getting the MB to recognize faster RAM memory, go to advanced frequency settings in your BIOS. Look for Extreme Memory Profile and set the configuration to Profile 1. My MB did not recognize the 2133Mhz until I set it it up that way. So try that out first before posting hate messages online. You might be pleasantly surprised.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board for the Price

Pros: Easy to install, BIOS is incredibly easy to navigate and use, plenty of ports for a budget home build, and a fantastic price for this kind of motherboard.

Cons: None that I have encountered.

Other Thoughts: I bought this thinking I might not be spending enough to get a quality board, but I was mistaken. the board works perfectly, and supports the 2133 GSkill sniper ram I bought as well, so that's a plus.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA out of the box

Pros: None yet, DOA out of the box

Cons: I have been building desktop computers for 12 years now and this is the first DOA. I have use MSI, ASUS and Gigabyte motherboards and this is the first one DOA out of the box. Reading the other reviews I think it is a problem with the A10 processor and the board bios. I would like to have my confidence in Gigabyte restored. We will see.

4 out of 5 eggsNot very feature-rich, but ya cant beat that price for an A88X mobo

Pros: 4 DIMM design, price, A88X chipset, good bios, supported Kaveri out of the box.

Cons: only supports 2 case fans (won't be much of a problem unless you have a lot of heat-generating components or small fans on your case), you have to lose your pcie x1 slot to install a dual-slot GPU,

Other Thoughts: Other than the discrete GPU problem, the upgrade options for this MoBo beyond what I have used are superb. Definitely not a high-end gaming board... but this board is being used in a computer for work, media, and maybe some light gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality Board, Ships Kaveri Ready

Pros: Ignore all the old reviews of this board not working with Kaveri. After March they shipped with the updated BIOS, and work right out of the box.

First off, the quality of this board is top notch. No super fancy bells n' whistles LED display or on board buttons, but it has all the other things needed to have a durable board.

4+2 power phases, low RDS(on) mofsets.
High density circuit board (moisture protection)
Anti-surge IC
Almost every port is electrostatic discharge protected
Individual fuses for USB ports
Dual BIOS

Overclocks nicely after F6 BIOS update

No problems here!

Cons: No heatsink on Mofsets, and they do get HOT. As in 55C idle, 75C under load measured with IR thermometer. Tisk tisk tisk.

No e-sata port

Other Thoughts: I got a SCREAMING deal on my new setup during Memorial Day

$65 for this board
$150 A10-7850k
$80 G-Skill Sniper 2x4gb 2133 w/ CL11
Combo deal subtracted $30
$265 +Free BF4 and Thief

$40 EVGA 500w PSU
$135 Samsung 240 EVO

$440 for my entire rig, which plays BF4 on High, not bad.

After updating the Bios from F6c to F6, overclocking is much more stable. CPU/GPU voltages still have to be set in AMD Overdrive in order to stick. Memory voltage, frequency, and timings can be changed in bios. My latest stable overclock:
CPU: 4.3GHZ VCORE 1.35V, Extreme llc
iGPU: 1050mhz Auto voltage, Extreme llc
Memory: 2400mhz 1.65v 10-11-10-31

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the job very well

Pros: Runs perfectly right out of the box with A6 APU, not a single problem. Had the new build up and running in 20 minutes.

Cons: No heatsinks on the VRM's, but doesn't seem like it needs them.

Other Thoughts: I chose this board and an A6-6400K as the basis for an HTPC build that I am doing for home. Always had an excellent experience with Gigabyte boards and this one was no exception. It took longer to assemble the system into the case than it did to get it running. It booted right up, installed Win7 and was running perfectly in 20 minutes. It has continued to do so for several days since then.

Overclockers might want to consider a set of cheap heatsinks for the MOSFET's, but they don't seem to run hot with the A6 at stock at all, and as a 4+2 board, it's has better power phasing than most FM2+ boards to start with. It has the overall feel of a very well-made board, typical of Gigabyte products. Recommended.
