1 out of 5 eggs2x DOA

Pros: Board looks nice and I have purchased many Gigabyte boards without issue

Cons: I purchased one from Newegg and had to RMA it because it was DOA. I purchased a second one somewhere else as I had points and THAT one was also DOA.

Other Thoughts: I love Gigabyte boards usually. They have served me well over the years but I couldn't help but to advise people to stay away from this model. I'll be getting an Asus or MSI in it's place. Maybe next time Gigabyte...

5 out of 5 eggsNice little motherboard

Pros: I wanted to build my son a new computer and he really doesn't need a full tower. After checking the specs and reviews on this MB, I decided to go with it and I'm glad I did. There's not much to say other than it works great and the price was just right. See specs in other thoughts.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Here's my new build check list (all of which make for a super fast, low-priced system that anyone can put together):

Pros: Linux Mint 17 boots up and installs without trouble. Installation of the AMD proprietary driver using the Driver Manager works flawlessly, and everything's working great.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board for Home Office Builds

Pros: I needed to build a new system for my parents (old Vista system was quickly dying) who are quite dependent on their PC for their two online businesses that requires a ton of uploading and downloading of photos as well as Office documents, emails, video stream, etc..

This motherboard has given no issues at all and was a pleasure to work with, plus there are plenty of SATA ports.

This is the second time I've used a Gigabyte board and I would not hesitate to use this in another home office build, an HTCP, and even a gaming rig.

It came in Revision 3 and the F6 BIOS.

Cons: Cannot think of any.

Other Thoughts: Mounted in a Cooler Master HAF 912 (great case for micro ATX boards) and G.Skill G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL (2x4).

4 out of 5 eggsBEST bang for buck!!! ! !

Pros: Only board in price range with digital optical audio out, HDMI out and plenty of USB ports that I liked. Plug and play with the AMD A8-5500 (FM2 socket) processor. Good thing a faster FM2+ (kavery socket) will work for a later upgrade along with a PCI e 16x open slot too. For a later dedicated or discretediscrete 4k graphic card upgrade. I plan on using dual monitors later (will need FM2+ CPU/apu). Board feels like quality. Nice and thick. Please note. ------ *** I'd give 5 stars***** ---- .... BUT!, after installing all drivers and add ons from included CD-rom disk. (Including amd chip drivers, google chrome, google drive, norton anti virus orotection) My windows 8.1 stoped connecting to the internet!! to the router control panel said I was connected to network, but chrome or IE wouldn't work. [using Ethernet cable cat 5] returned cat 5 bale thinking it was defective. Moving computer to final location. Ended up going to store, got a TP-Link TL-WN881ND PCI express (mini PCI one) wireless N adapter... Still no luck. Computer "connected" to known good route, network key saved and all. Browser error code said to allow googole chrome online access... I allowed in t in control panel under security... Nothing. Also allowed iTunes. And still no connection... I had to go to uninstall> Norton app. The one that was installed from gigabyte CD. All app user data cleared. And WALLA ! Internet worked again... !!!!! Last note----- I installed a 3.5" panel 4 USB 3.0 panel. And only requires the single communications connection to work.at first panel install I also plugged in the supplemental power wires (a two-wire molex connection tonpower supply) and no.Bo wouldn't even start. Nothing. Just power button lit. Wasn't till I unplugged the supplemental molex two wire power to the USB 3.0 panel that got the computer for fire up again...

Cons: I'd give 5 EGG. But had to uninstall Norton app that was included in drivers CD. TO GET my internet to work again had tobtrave back what I did... . Even tho my network settings showed connection. (Tried wired and wireless. ) The software firewall blocked every app. Including chrome. ITunes. IE. Even after going to control panel and "allowing" above stated apps internet access. Install every driver and thing from CD, but ******EXCLUDE: NORTON******* AND SHOULD BE FINE!!! :D

Other Thoughts: Plug for additional USB 3.0 3.5" panel has enough power. I like the fan controls. I out mine at full speed. CPU. Case Fan1. Case fan 2. :-)

5 out of 5 eggsMy 1st GB MB

Pros: This is probably the 4th upgrade to my HTPC. I was forced to upgrade this time because the previous system developed the BSOD syndrome after almost 4 years of faithful service. I've been using another brand MB exclusively but always wanted to try a GB and I'm not disappointed. The board came well packaged and the manuals are easy to follow. The system fired right up the first time and has never given me a single issue. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Cons: I wish GB would have included MB screws.

Other Thoughts: Each time I upgrade my main HTPC I install the old stuff in a PC in my home office. This time the old stuff has a BSOD problem with either the MB or memory. I just ordered a new Gigabyte MB (2nd GB MB in 2 weeks) to troubleshoot the blue screen issue. If the problem is the MB I have a good PC for cheap. If the problem is the memory, that's no problem since it has a lifetime warranty.

2 out of 5 eggsRJ45 port

Pros: the pci express 3.0
usb 3.0
8pin cpu power input

Cons: if you decide to put in a video card prepare your self to spend more money or RMA this item bought 2 of these same problem, i installed my gtx 760 and my rj45 port no longer is seen by windows nor bios.
after going through the logs, there was a conflict between the gpu and Ethernet port. ended up buying a wireless adapter, couldn't install a 3rd party nic due to my setup.

Other Thoughts: should of gotten a different brand when the first one went out.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Performer

Pros: I used this motherboard in a build for someone else and thus far they have been extremely happy. The board doesn't come with a lot of frills, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The sata, fan, I/o, and usb connections are in smart locations so it was easy to route cables. The board itself looks great and works without a problem.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Perfect for a budget build or a small form factor build. Has everything you need to run a great system. Overclocking will require experience, but most overclockers prefer it that way.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well.

Pros: I needed a new MB as my old one for a Phenom II X6 (different brand) was slowly dying (spdif went out; analog audio was getting bad; SATA III was very slow). Wanted to go greener (HTPC) so I went with the FM2. Everything was well labeled on the MB; it worked right out of the box; the driver CD worked well. I have not OCed the processor or the gpu (no plans to do either). The board recognized my DDR3 as 1333 and not 1600; there was a preset for 1600 that was easy to find and implement; thinking very hard about OCing the memory further. No complaints.

Cons: This may be the same with any motherboard, but when plugging in the SATA and 24 pin power, support the board; there is nothing underneath to support while plugging in so the board flexes quite a bit.

Other Thoughts: If going FM2, this has been a good board so far.
