4 out of 5 eggsOne faulty sata, no other issues.

Pros: The motherboard works just as it should.
This is the second of these motherboards that I have had, the other for around 6 months, and I am pleased with both.

Cons: This motherboard came with a shorted sata cable that prevented me from originally booting my PC. This was a bit frustrating, but not the worst issue I could have had. It loses one egg for this. Had it not had this issue, I'd have given in 5 eggs.

Other Thoughts: I've had two with great success, and would likely buy more for future builds. It does the job that it is supposed to do well.

4 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Worked great once figured out a problem ( see cons). No DOA, nice features,

Cons: I tested the motherboard before connecting it to the ATX case, booted with no problems. Once connected, system did not want to boot up. After disconnecting cable by cable, I notice that the HD led connection was not working properly. I ended up using the system without the HD led.

Other Thoughts: Bought this is a system bundle. with 8GB ram and APU A6 processor. Worked great, this was for my son to do homework and play minecraft.

1 out of 5 eggsnot a happy camper

Pros: A88 chipset for an APU

Cons: Purchased August 2014 and experienced static on the standard stereo output that varied with the load and frequency of the installed APU processor. I did not have this problem with the previous motherboard using all the same components. Initiated service request with Gigabyte and over the next week exchanged emails with Gigabyte, and tried all of the suggested methods to solve the problem. Nothing solved it. I RMAed it and mailed the motherboard to Gigabyte service. USPS tracking shows they received it on September 2nd. Received an email from Gigabyte that they received the motherboard on September 4th. On Gigabyte's website to track the progress of the RMA, they indicated they received the motherboard on September 5th. The website also indicated they had "repaired" the motherboard on September 5th, with the notation "No trouble found after tests with multiple configurations." On September 12th I received an email indicating they had shipped the motherboard back to me. They did not indicate why it took them a week after the board was "repaired" to ship it. When I re-assembled my computer, it still had static on the audio channels. I tested the audio on the optical output, and the audio worked as it should. I purchased a new speaker system and an optical cable so that I could have usable audio with my computer. Yesterday I turned on my computer, only for it to fail to POST. So here I am starting the process all over again with Gigabyte's service, without a functioning motherboard. For a motherboard that is marketed as being "Ultra Durable:, this is poor performance. With the cost of sending the motherboard back to Gigabyte a second time, this makes this the most expensive motherboard I have ever purchased.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very nice board, install CD and features well but together great board if it works

Cons: I installed the motherboard and installed WIN 7 it started to work but only after playing around, but I found no audio output, started check all connection and tried to restart and then board failure !.The board did not send power on signal to power supply !
Checked power supply OK
I'm returning with replace RMA .
Going to try again ! Its costing me $14.34 to be Gigabyte product tester, that is special !
Over the years I have successively built over 10 systems

Other Thoughts: Its costing me $14.34 to be a Gigabyte product tester,
that is special !

2 out of 5 eggsGood board, couple major flaws

Pros: Powers on, came with latest BIOS which is Kaveri compatible. Plenty of overclocking options (but they cant be used, see cons)

Cons: Will not hold a A10-7850K at even stock clocks. The VRMs overheat and cause the processor to throttle severely. Games go from a great playable 30fps to a unplayable 15fps after about 20 minutes of gaming. Upon closer inspection the VRM temps are hot enough to burn flesh if touched. iGPU clocks throttle down to 360mhz! Pretty big step down when these iGPUs are capable of 1000mhz! CPU throttles down to 3ghz. This is using an aftermarket cooler and cpu temps are low (around 50C when really pushing it in a game) Only power settings tweaked were northbridge voltage with a small +0.018, VRM settings are on standard.

Other Thoughts: Gaming oriented APU thats held back by bad VRM cooling design (technically no cooling at all). Irritating when you pay for something that doesnt work correctly you know? You feel ripped off... Old APUs didnt have this issue, wish there was a way to disable the throttling even when the VRMs start cookin

1 out of 5 eggs2x DOA

Pros: Board looks nice and I have purchased many Gigabyte boards without issue

Cons: I purchased one from Newegg and had to RMA it because it was DOA. I purchased a second one somewhere else as I had points and THAT one was also DOA.

Other Thoughts: I love Gigabyte boards usually. They have served me well over the years but I couldn't help but to advise people to stay away from this model. I'll be getting an Asus or MSI in it's place. Maybe next time Gigabyte...

5 out of 5 eggsNice little motherboard

Pros: I wanted to build my son a new computer and he really doesn't need a full tower. After checking the specs and reviews on this MB, I decided to go with it and I'm glad I did. There's not much to say other than it works great and the price was just right. See specs in other thoughts.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Here's my new build check list (all of which make for a super fast, low-priced system that anyone can put together):

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board for Home Office Builds

Pros: I needed to build a new system for my parents (old Vista system was quickly dying) who are quite dependent on their PC for their two online businesses that requires a ton of uploading and downloading of photos as well as Office documents, emails, video stream, etc..

This motherboard has given no issues at all and was a pleasure to work with, plus there are plenty of SATA ports.

This is the second time I've used a Gigabyte board and I would not hesitate to use this in another home office build, an HTCP, and even a gaming rig.

It came in Revision 3 and the F6 BIOS.

Cons: Cannot think of any.

Other Thoughts: Mounted in a Cooler Master HAF 912 (great case for micro ATX boards) and G.Skill G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL (2x4).
