5 out of 5 eggsWorks...

Pros: Bought this for an i3 upgrade for my fathers PC.

-2 display ports
-USB 3.0

I honestly never bought GIGABYTE before because I just had this notion that they were cheap in terms of quality. Boy did they prove me wrong. Nothing fancy about this board, it's just an H81 and does its job flawlessly.

Cons: Lacking sufficient number of fan connectors, but this is the case with most Micro ATX boards. I had plenty of 3-pin to molex connectors, so If you have a lot of fans keep this in mind or buy a fan controller.

Other than that - none.

Other Thoughts: Worked out of the box, no issue with RAM.

Disk that comes with the MOBO had such a smooth installation process, it has made me think twice about using GIGABYTE - satisfied customer here.

4 out of 5 eggsNot a bad board

Pros: Board was exactly what i was looking for in a simple build. Had to RMA due to it being DOA but the replacement took to the system so easy I forgot i almost forgot i had to have it replaced!

Cons: lack of extra USB ports, but again a simple machine for a 9 year old to play minecraft and few other games.

Other Thoughts: More USB ports would be great as well as more fan headers.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible support options

Pros: None

Cons: Board arrived. Installed in PC. Fans kick on but no POST. Tried to find technical support. The number given is in another country. Went to the website. Was forced to login with either my windows live account, Facebook account or had to create a passport account. I tried creating the passport account but no matter how I entered the verification code the website rejected it. I finally gave in a used my Windows Live account. Still no possibility of talking to a human. I will not by another Gigabyte board.

Other Thoughts: I am Head of Information Technology for the company that I work for and have been in I.T. for just under 20 years. I have never had this much of a challenge getting technical support for an item that I had purchased. The only reason I gave 1 egg is because I couldn't give a zero.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good!

Pros: Cheap, supports i7s

Cons: Crowded, my 2 slot video card cooler is actually touching my PCIe Wifi card, but it works.

Need a compact video card to use the middle PCIe slot.

Not sure why they don't put the second PCIe slot above the PCIe x16 slot so you can use it.

Other Thoughts: I put an i5-4590 in it and it's running like a dream.

Didn't realize it doesn't support RAIDs, I thought everything did that these days...

5 out of 5 eggsbest budget gaming pc

Pros: price, simple not too complicated. perfect for my matx case that was lying around. bios is excellent. nice layout, USB 3.0. got this thru a combo deal with an Intel G3258.

Cons: easy overclocking options are greyed out and are only available on Z8, Z9 motherboards overclocking needs to done thru bios using trial and error

Other Thoughts: after so many attempts in getting a stable overclock, thanks to one of the reviewers, chistopher t., i got a stable setting @ 4.1. i may try to go higher. used prime95 for 2 hours using simple and blended, reached 63C temps with a $20 cooler Raijintek Aidos, but i added another 92mm fan to create a push-pull effect. i missed the combo deal with another board that has more OC options but this would fit the bill. used a spare R9 280x, played Battlefield Hardline Beta at high settings using 29" Insignia TV @ 1320x768 res.

5 out of 5 eggsGIGABYTE H81M-DS2V

Pros: This was my first Build the motherboard layout was simple to understand, And easy to fit in my case. I also liked that it has 3 fan headers one for the front of the case the other for the back of the case and for the CPU fan. and work write out of the box.
I will buying this this motherboard for my next build.
the other thing i like about this board is the Bios boots up very fast.

Cons: The only con is regarding the I/O shield it felt very flexible
when putting it on the back of the case.

Other Thoughts: Great Motherboard for $50.00 Dollars. The CPU 3 GHZ Intel Pentium G3220 LGA 1150 and works great.

4 out of 5 eggsfinally got a stable overclock at 4.1ghz

Pros: cheap - got it on a combo deal with the g3258 for $80.

Cons: took me a long time to figure out how to get a stable overclock.

Other Thoughts: adjusting only the multiplier, i could only get it overclocked to 3.6ghz. i thought the g3258 was a dud. but i researched more about all the other settings i could play around with. i ended up setting (1) memory to 1333mhz, (2) uncore ratio to 32x and (3) cpu core voltage to max 1.2v. this booted to 43x but it was only stable at 41x cpu clock multiplier. temps were no higher than 73c even with the cpu fan at 75%. i unplugged the case fan, so the only other cooling is from the psu fan. my system power consumption at idle is about 40w measured at the wall with a kill-a-watt, and that's just with 2 dimms of ram, cpu fan, single ssd. adding mechanical hdd adds about 5 watts each to idle. running intel stress test on the overclocked system pushed power consumption to about 90w. i have an old thermaltake tr2 430w, and i think that may contribute to the unstable overclocks over 4.1ghz, so i would be inclined to try a better psu. good luck with your own overclock!

4 out of 5 eggsGigabyte GA-H81M-DS2V

Pros: Nice compact motherboard. The layout was good for my build. It worked the first time. I like that it has 3 fan headers - which is more than other budget boards.

Cons: All of the back panel risers and I/O risers feel very flexible - especially the usb/ps2 riser: -1 egg.
