5 out of 5 eggsI like it.

Pros: For 50 bucks this board gets the job done plus I am buying a motherboard from a tier 1 manufacturer. Still have a Gigabyte Ultra Durable 3 motherboard that is 5.5 years old still chugging along.

This board does have a 12v 8 pin connector. so make sure your power supply has a what typically is called a 12v 4+4 pin which works with 12v 8 pin or 12v 4 pin because it splits apart, and can be snapped back together for 8 pin.

The board has two 3.0 usb ports on the back. There are no usb 3.0 headers on the motherboard. There are two usb 2.0 headers on the motherboard.

Not going to overclock on this board, so nothing to report. Picked up an Intel core I3 4360 on sale, and it's running very good on this board. My board did have the latest bios version which is F5.

If you are on a budget, and are trying to get the most bang for the buck, and can get it for 50 bucks or less then thumbs up.

4 out of 5 eggsIts Nice

Pros: great size
Great entry mobo
16gb ram max
GREAT AUDIO IMO for on board

Cons: WILL NOT OC MY G3258.....

Proly due to lack of know how follow guides on how to do it with gigabyte boards has F5 bios will not boot if i change any voltage settings at all.

Other Thoughts: Very nice handles my GTX970 8GB Rip Jaws Ram and G3258 great at stock speeds. Just cant seem to get a stable OC.

Proly would put the extra toward a z97 mobo imo but if your not overclocking or running SLI Get this or a model similar.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat combo

Pros: Combo deal with g3258 for $70 couldnt resist and worth it. Great little system, no issue installing g3258 on this mb (rev of mb I got did not need flash to boot with 3258). Mint 17 no problem, nice inexpensive and fast, cant be beat for general purpose combo. virtualbox machines run very quickly. Couldnt be happier, enjoy.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome MOBO, BIOS little bit difficult to get around.

Pros: All I have to say about this mobo is that it would be a great choice if you are starting out in building your own PC for gaming or anything else to suite your needs. I can't think of anything specific, but I would recommend getting this board for starters in my opinion. I will probs update this later on to give a more informative and useful review.

Cons: I only have one but I think it's nothing anyone should worry about. Every once in a while, normally when I start up my PC after it's been off for a while, my Gaming SSD that's plugged into one of the SATA3 ports doesn't get read or doesn't show up in the BIOS or when I try and access it through Windows. I'm not sure if it's my SATA power cable that's not making it start up when I turn on the power, or if it's the SATA cable connected to the SATA3 port. It maybe the port itself, but I highly doubt that. Though this isn't a serious issue because all I have to do when this happens is to shutdown my PC and twiddle with the cords connected to my SSD a little bit as I turn on the power to get it working again. Other than that the BIOS is a little hard to get around, but you'll get used to it.

Other Thoughts: Specs:
Intel Pentium G3420 3.2GHz (Stock HSF)
8GB G-skill Sniper Gaming Series
XFX Nvidia GeFroce 9800 GT 512MB
Ultra LSP 650W ATX PSU
Transcend 128GB SSD
Western Digital Blue 250GB HDD

I also have really generic case from E-machines that was made from like the early 2000s, that was put in storage a few years ago when it was a PC but stopped working. I'm just using it because it's all I have for a case and it holds all my components. The whole front panel, like the front USBs and front audio jacks don't work, but it's not like i'm going to be using that anyway. It doesn't have any case fans or any internal cooling, so I just have the side panel off to get some decent air flow in there, and it tends to be pretty cool in there, unless if I play a game like Battlefield 3, especially with the GPU I have, it gets pretty warm in there, but nothing to threatening. I plan on getting a new CPU cooler so I can have my processor more cooler, and a new case so my setup doesn't look so mediorcre and have some internal cooling.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable motherboards

Pros: Stable motherboard with easy to navigate EUFI and all the basics you need.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I've used Gigabyte boards in all me recent Haswell builds and haven't had any problems at all with them, and this board is no exception. I shop by price because I don't need a bunch of bells and whistles, and Gigabyte always has a decent balance of reliability and affordability.

1 out of 5 eggsBIOS was hard to figure out/ Didn't work with Intel G3258

Pros: NONE. I Never got it to work

Cons: Wouldn't work with the Intel Pentium G3258. Bios on this board was VERY confusing to say the least and I still couldn't format or erase partitions on my Terabyte Hard Drive. I switched my hard drive to my other computer to delete the partition and load Windows 7 which was done successfully. Brought it back to this Gigabyte Motherboard and Intel Pentium G3258 and couldn't even boot windows 7. I brought it over my father's house who is an Electronic Hardware Engineer and he couldn't even figure it out. Had to return product.

Other Thoughts: Been building my own computers for years. Never had a problem like this before.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: Excellent motherboard. I purchased this as part of a deal for the G3258K processor and I couldn't be happier. At first I wanted a more enthusiast friendly chipset but then Intel forced the vendors to release updates and BIOS revisions that basically turned this motherboard into a gaming platform.

It's been running the Pentium G3258K slightly overclocked for a few weeks as a home server / ESXi machine, 24/7, and I eventually took the Pentium out and put in a 4790K. The 4790K is also running 24/7 in my home server, and after a few weeks it hasn't needed a reboot or any attention at all.

Bought it for a total of <$80 with the Pentium G3258K and I couldn't be happier.

Cons: No cons whatsoever. Just be aware the board is a Micro ATX motherboard, space is very limited. I eventually managed to get a Corsair H80i installed on it in budget Rosewill case, but the socket is so close to the top corner that I had to have my wife help me install it because the tubing needed to be bent so much.

Other Thoughts: The BIOS looks like something from an Alien movie. Full UEFI, mouse movement, high definition options, you can even customize the background. You can disable this if you want and revert to the more familiar text display that Gigabyte has been using for a while. I had initially tried using onboard graphics and the default BIOS options but the HD TV I was using wouldn't recognize the video and when it finally did it wouldn't properly show the BIOS. An actual monitor saw it all immediately, so definitely do all configurations with a monitor if you start having difficulty.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat basic MB

Pros: 1.easy to install
2.easy to update bios,
3.easy to OC with Pentium G3258
4.great UEFI bios, easy to play around
5. work right out of box no DOA

Cons: 1. no onboard USB 3.0 connector
2. voltage limit to 1.2 means limited CPU OC

Other Thoughts: I got this board and G3258 to upgrade my son's old core 2 duo E7400 machine and it works great. OC at 4.2Mhz 1.2 Vol with zalman cnps5x perfoma and temp is pretty good (idle 27-31C, loaded 57-67C ) and stable. i'm waiting for ram deal (now xms3 4gb 1600) and decent Video card (now old radeon hd3850 512mg).
