5 out of 5 eggsGaming 7

Pros: Easy to overclock
Lots of SATA ports
M.2/Sata express support
On board power switch
Excleent on board audio
Gigabyte quality

Cons: Sys Fan 2, 3, and 4 headers all at the bottom of the board
Front audio header is a stretch for the front panel audio cable
As noted by others, heat sinks seem flimsy

Other Thoughts: I have a six-year-old Gigabyte EP45-UD3H board that is still running strong, but just felt the need to upgrade. The Gaming 7 and the UD5H are very similar - I got a better deal on the Gaming 7 and the soundblaster audio put it over the top. The UDH5 does appear to have better heat sinks and has an intel lan port in addition to killer.

Hooked up an i5 4690K, an SSD, 3 hard drives in raid 0, 3TB backup drive, gtx770, and 8GB 1866 ram - booted right up and has run smoothly with no issues.

Pros: looks great in black and red. lots of features and connections. great onboard audio.

Cons: ran out of usb connection ports on the motherboard, if i only had one more. heat sinks feel like they will fall off easily

Other Thoughts: i debated on this board or the MSI gaming 7 board and went with this one

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost Perfect

Pros: Many features
Looks good enough
Has not failed
Very OC'able

Cons: -Noise

Other Thoughts: My only gripe with this motherboard is that even though Gigabyte has separated the audio PCB, I still hear noise coming through the speakers at high volume. I have verified that the noise is caused by the motherboard by plugging the speakers to a different computer. Apart from that, this motherboard is perfect for gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Motherboard with EVERY connection you need

Pros: Plenty of connections of every kind for everything you need. It's an excellent starting point for building the Gaming PC of your dreams. The LED path looks insanely cool, and the on-board power switch makes testing things easy and safe. I suggest this motherboard for anyone looking for a good one.

Cons: None, but you should know that Express SATA doesn't exist yet, even if there's a connection for it on the board. That confused me for a few hours.

4 out of 5 eggsI take it back

Pros: Wow. Stress tested 0 Problems. LED's are so cool. Card sags a little but you know it happens with a huge 770 but hey. Audio on this thing is actually great!. Killer networking is wow.

Cons: Weird padding on the I/) shield made installing strange. But otherwise I wrote a bad review because I got a DOA one. But this on was Alive. Love this board so far.

Other Thoughts: Go ahead try out gigabyte. Newegg also handled my return but if not gigabyte was gonna dive right in with me!

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Motherboard

Pros: Great motherboard, severely underrated. After a BIOS update (which I highly suggest), overclocking was super simple. The debug and bios redundancy is a great feature and is overall a well built motherboard.

Cons: None really. Solid setup.

Other Thoughts: The BIOS/UEFI is a bit frankensteinish, but I think GIGABYTE will fix these along the way, not enough for me to drop an egg for it.

2 out of 5 eggsGigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 7

Pros: Looked great

Cons: The cpu socket came with bent pins! Newegg has always been good to me. But I am not thrilled this time and to think my PC would be running in 1 night. Will change eggs after the RMA is done. Hopefully without any pain.

5 out of 5 eggsLooks Amazing

Pros: 4 usb 2.0 & 4 usb 3.0 plugs in the back, 8 sata3 ports, easy to set up, looks great, what more could you want?

Cons: not all the fan headers are 4 pin, and only 2 usb 2.0 internal headers, and it would of been nice if all of the lights on the MoBo were red instead of all red with 2 orange lights on the right side. but nothing i can knock off a egg for really.

Other Thoughts: looks amazing in my case.

4 out of 5 eggsA great little mobo

Pros: Good build quality, everything is placed in a manner that I can change my cases configuration and still connect with no problems, and the board keeps its cool throughout. Provides enough room for my plentiful number of drives, UEFI was a little difficult but easy to understand after a minute or two.

Cons: Heatsinks for the north and south bridge seem a little flimsy. I didn't go into that more than I needed to just in case. The SATAs set off to the side run at 3/Gbs which was not mentioned. Default fan control seems to be a bit too aggressive.

Other Thoughts: The only real issue I've had so far is the bottom PCIx1 slot was giving me trouble. I'd bought a new video card to SLI and, when I put everything back in, it wouldn't post. At first I thought my PSU was crapping out on me. Lucky for me I had a spare that worked fine. Since then, no other problems. I just can't use one port and took an egg off for it.

1 out of 5 eggsGigabyte quality in question

Pros: Nice looking board, easy overclocking features... loved the illuminated, isolated sound circuit.. but that's where the fun stopped

Cons: After a night of gaming I turned the system off as I normally do... two days later I attempted to turn the system on... no power, only a blinking light on the onboard power button. I did multiple changes, PS, RAM, Video, unplugged all devices, reconnected and nothing worked. Frustrated I removed the MB, and replaced with my previous MB and everything booted up fine... the Gigabyte MB has failed. I spent an hour waiting on hold and never got to talk with a human, so I sent a tech request into their online tech help... I didn't hear anything for 4 days, and when I did it was like the person responding never even looked at the original tech request where I had listed all my troubleshooting steps. I've purchased another MB from ASRock which is the currently installed board and most likely won't purchase another Gigabyte product if this is the kind of support they give on their products. I'm going to attempt to see if NewEgg will intervene since this board is slightly older than a month... I just didn't feel like waiting for Gigabyte to decide what & when the felt like supporting their product.
