5 out of 5 eggsVery pleased

Pros: A great board with every new feature you could want in a new PC, and in a Micro ATX format. Most people will never miss features shaved off this board, like dual LAN, SLI, or overclocking. The board is painless to install, required no drivers or even a BIOS update (but always check this) and is quick to post. Very stable operation running a new Haswell i5 for both CPU and GPU.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: As others have said if you use a double slot card on the bottom PCIE you will block some of the front panel I/Os. But, I don't see this as a con because there really isn't a reason to install such a card there. If you want to run two cards, this is not the motherboard for you.

5 out of 5 eggs  a great motherboard for a stable, fast PC.

Pros: This motherboard is high quality and has all of the features needed to make a fast running stable and long lasting PC.

Cons: N/a

Other Thoughts: I'm running a Xeon 1231 on mine and it is rock solid with windows 8 with secure boot enabled on an intel ssd. I'm very pleased with the performance and the build quality gigabyte puts into their motherboards. You get what you pay for and it pays to spend a little bit more for something built to last and not troublesome.

2 out of 5 eggsNo displau

Pros: none so far

Cons: I don't know if there is an incompatibility with the PSU or something but there is nothing to display any of the problems as to why the PC is not posting, no indication of BIOS lights or anything, now I am waiting on my ticket to be processed and it is taking so long for the ticket to even be processed.

Other Thoughts: I am still waiting to hear back from gigabyte...

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked as expected, has lots of features. Only issue was audio was poor, until updating to Fedora testing from F20. Using i5-4690, 16GB RAM, SSD and two HDD, 380w psu.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It would be nice to have the option to turn off USB power, on power down, instead of having to switch the PSU off.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great board for cost, used for a server farm setup. The board serves the purpose well for the price point and includes an optional graphics card. Make sure to purchase a CPU with a internal graphics processor -- because the onboard graphics on the board only work with this setup.

Cons: The board's heat plate near the cpu assembly was a little flimsy during install - ensure not to handle by this area. The board is solid overall apart from this.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Board

Pros: Solid board, plenty of USB slots, and PCIe. Didnt feel like a cheap board.

Cons: Similar boards are priced cheaper, but this did have the quality to justify the slight expense increase.

5 out of 5 eggsgood mATX board, no problems yet

Pros: 2 PCIe slots, sufficient amount of USB 3.0 ports, decent audio chip, detailed user manual, easy to use BIOS.

Cons: Maybe a bit expensive compared to similarly featured older boards?

Other Thoughts: I used this board for my first desktop build, which is a mid-high level gaming PC. I wanted to do a microATX build to be able to fit the case under my desk, which I managed to do. As a first time builder, I am guessing a mATX build is probably harder to do because of cable management and fitting the components but I think it worked out okay.

I was planning to go with a cheaper board but I got one of the refreshed Haswell processors and wanted to be sure there would be no problems as there were reports that a BIOS update might be necessary for non-9 series boards. This was a more expensive board (as it just came out, I am guessing), but in hindsight I appreciate the extra features compared to cheaper older boards (like the H81M boards I was looking at). For example it is good that it has two PCIe slots (in addition to 2 PCI slots), as I used the first for my GPU and second for a wireless adapter, whereas older cheaper boards usually have only one. More USB 3.0 ports and a decent audio chip is also a plus.

The BIOS is easy to use and the included manual is detailed and informative, which was important to me as a first time builder. I haven't had any problems yet, in 1+ months since building the PC.

I wanted to point out that I had horrible performance with my Samsung EVO SSD at first using Windows 8.1. Optimizing the OS for SSD using the Samsung Magician software solved that problem. I have no idea if this was a problem related to the motherboard's configuration or purely a Windows issue.
