5 out of 5 eggsSolid and feature packed

Pros: Attractive, black PCB, pulsing orange LEDs, Bluetooth 4.x, IEEE 802.11ac WiFi, good amount of USB 3.0s, decent CMOS setup that allows overclocking, comes with WiFi antennae (magnetic!).

Cons: WiFi antennae isn't standard (wires fragile), POST screen is ugly, support for this motherboard isn't so great.

Other Thoughts: I tried using this with the Pentium G3258 prior to my i7. You must disable a core to use the G3258. The core can be reenabled after removing the mcupdateIntel file thing (check internet).

5 out of 5 eggsconsole grade PC?

Pros: Had everything I needed and nothing I didn't. Works flawlessly but skip the Gigabyte software. WiFi is awesome and so is the Bluetooth. Gigabyte software to adjust fans and auto update crashes and does not update but downgrade drivers. Love changing boot image tho.

Cons: color scheme not for everyone, but I can't see it in my case lol

Other Thoughts: Lights have options of on, off, pulse(one speed) and dimmer.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board for the price

Pros: LEDs behind the board gimmick aside, this is actually a very nice board to build with. Sturdy, well laid out and recognized my (Haswell Refresh) Xeon CPU out of the box: no bios update needed.

The BIOS sucks if you try to use a mouse but navigating with a keyboard is logical and consistent. Menu options are well grouped together and I never had any trouble finding what I was looking for.

Cons: The worst thing about this board, for me, is that the case headers are at the top of the board instead of the front, usually where they need to be if you're using a small mITX like the Hadron.

Don't know why they still put PS2 ports on motherboards. Just give us another USB2 ports in place instead.

Not enough for me to dock an egg for, however.

Other Thoughts: Board booted right up on first try, no fuss, recognized all the ram and got the timings exactly right. No further updates needed for compatibility, even has a lot of the desire hardware toggles in the BIOS instead of having to rely on software for some device features. (Example: toggle for ethernet Wake on Lan is in the bios, I usually have to disable this in Device Manager on Windows)

Ran a burnin test and Memtest overnight. No issues whatsoever. Can't wait to finally be able to put this in my case. I might like the orange glow behind the board then...

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a Bowl Full of Awesome!

Pros: Compact and full of great features, especially great for a Mini-ITX board. Wireless AC works beautifully (I'm usually getting ~35-50MBPS over a Wireless N network). The color scheme works great for my build as well. Plenty of SATA ports on the board for any Mini-ITX build. As for overclocking, I don't know as I haven't found a need to.

Cons: As mentioned earlier, most boards have some kind of RAID functionality, but this one does not and is typically a feature found on most motherboards. More fan connectors would have been great, too. Only two on the board, so I had to end up using a Y-splitter for the fans. As someone else mentioned, too, it would have been nice to see a video of the lights on the board. Had to go to YouTube just to find any kind of video review on the board, and it wasn't even in English.

Other Thoughts: My build, as follows:

CPU - Intel Core i7 4790k
RAM - 8GB G.Skill Orange Ares 1333MHz
HDD - WD Blue 2.5" 1TB + WD Green 2.5" 2TB
MB - Gigabyte GA-B85N Phoenix
CASE - BitFenix Prodigy Orange w/ Black Mesh Front Panel
PSU - Corsair RM650

4 out of 5 eggsGood Board but no for high OC

Pros: Wi-Fi
Nice Colour Scheme
Easy Installation
Loads of BIOS customisation

Cons: -Vcore doesnt go over 1.2V

Other Thoughts: I bought this board to OC my Pentium G3258. Folks have been raving that when OC'd that little CPU packs a punch. Well the board wont let me up the voltage past 1.2v meaning the CPU wont go over 3.8GHz which is pretty bad since folks have gotten it up to 4.8GHz on Z chipsets.

Other than that the board does what I wanted to and comes with some cool software from Gigabyte for some light OC and tweaking. Another odd thing is that the board says it only supports 1333MHz RAM however there is a RAM OC in the BIOS that lets you up to 1600MHz (havent tried higher as my RAM is 1600MHz)

5 out of 5 eggsgreat for small Hackintosh

Pros: -Lots of input/output options, lots of USB 3.0 ports
-Nice layout
-Attractive (In addition to its color scheme and clean layout, I really like the glowing-fire look of the orange LEDs)
-According to other reviewers, the wi-fi works great, though I didn't use it.
-6Gb/s mSATA slot (for me, one of the main selling points)
-works for building a Hackintosh

Cons: -no RAID (I knew this didn't have RAID support, and I didn't need it this time, but almost all mobos have it.)
-Con for Newegg: no images/video of the LEDs on this page (I had to go searching and ended up finding video of the LEDs in action on some Chinese website. There's no reason not to show what they look like here.)

Other Thoughts: My orange & black build:
motherboard: Gigabyte B85N Phoenix WiFi
CPU: Intel Core i7 4790S
CPU cooler: Corsair H50 water cooler (replaced fan with orange & black Cougar fan)
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 1600MHz 16GB (2x8GB)
boot drive: Mushkin Enhanced 240GB mSATA drive
storage drive: WD Black Series 4TB HDD
PSU: Rosewill ARC-M550 550w modular power supply
case: Rosewill Legacy WS-1 (silver, non-windowed) (replaced front fan with orange & black 140mm Cougar fan)
OS: Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10)

4 out of 5 eggsSolid mid-level option

Pros: Nice to have a different color option than the typical Red/Black, Blue/Black mobos. Love the LEDs. Good size for mATX cases. Installed Windows 8.1 from USB with no issues. BIOS is easy to navigate and update. Running nice and cool with i54590 and stock fan.

Cons: Attaching front panel connectors is tricky as already mentioned. Could really benefit from another fan header.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid performer

Pros: The board worked right out of the box with Windows 8, a Haswell i5, and 8GB of cheap RAM. It's orange, which is an under-represented color palette in motherboards. It has gimmicky flashing lights, which some people may hate but I personally like (can be turned off in BIOS though).

Cons: None so far, almost a year's worth of use without a hitch.

Other Thoughts: It's a bit pricey for a B85 board, to be fair. But it runs a stable gaming rig perfectly and looks awesome. Some tricky header placement, but if you're buying ITX boards that's to be expected. I also had a bit of a headache mounting an aftermarket CPU cooler, but I'm amounting that to the fact that I'd never done such a thing before.

Highly recommended product.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: The orange backlights sold me on this motherboard, being my favorite color, I built my entire computer trying to use orange colored parts. My mini ITX gaming rig looks great with this inside. It was easy to install and work with.

Cons: Wish had more fan header spots but that is expected being a mini ITX board and was able to work around that with a fan controller (also orange lights ofcourse)

4 out of 5 eggsAcceptable.

Pros: Had it for 2 weeks. Looks nice. Like the orange LEDS (didn't think i would). WiFI working great.

Cons: the USB front header from the case could not fit into the socket on the motherboard. I pushed way too hard and it would not go in. I resorted to getting a knife and shaving the male plug. After shaving the plug, it went in and is staying in. However, the fit did not go in snug enough that I feel 100% comfortable. But the front USB3 is working now and I have not had a problem with it. Not sure if the issue was the mother board socket or the Case's male end.

Other Thoughts: I really like the LED, which is surprising because I generally think LEDs are childish looking. Perhaps I like it because it is subtle, a dark orange that is not overly intrusive.
