5 out of 5 eggsExcellent motherboard, great value

Pros: -solid mobo, no complaints at all.

Cons: -if you want this to do embedded video, be sure your processor will support it. I bought an Athlon that works with this motherboard, but does not support embedded video. My bad for not ensuring it, but it wasn't explicitly clear

Other Thoughts: double check what you need and buy this if it fits!

Pros: - Super easy to work with
- Everything works out of the box
- Affordable
- BIOS looks nice and is easy to use
- Works flawlessly with the AMD APU, I used the AMD A8-7600 Kaveri Quad-Core 3.1 GHz APU

Cons: - Has USB 3.0 on the back but no 19 pin connector for USB 3.0 from the case
- Requires PCI expantion card for 19 pin connector

Other Thoughts: Great for a budget AMD build

5 out of 5 eggsA build for my two children.

Pros: I paired this board with a A8 7600. I rebuilt an old bell. Used the case and hdd added a new 450w power. Everything fit perfectly did not have any problems. Really satisfied with the build, look just the way I wanted it. And my son play all his games and school work on his own pc not mine ......

Cons: Don't have any ATM

4 out of 5 eggsDecent little bargain board.

Pros: Cheap
Small form factor makes for TONS of free physical space in a large gaming case.
Power to USB ports even when turned off, so you can still charge devices.

Cons: No USB 3.0 headers
Reports unreliable CPU temperature readings, see below.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for a budget gaming build and to replace the nearly 10 year old Gateway that used to be my main box. Put an Athlon X4 860K in it and It's been running just fine for the internet tasks and light duty gaming I do.

The only SERIOUS beef I have is that I can't rely on the CPU temperature readings reported by the board:

When I "cold" boot into BIOS (I.E. the machine has been off for 10 minutes or so, so there should be no residual heat left in the CPU/heatsink), BIOS reports the CPU temp to be anywhere from ~55c (at it's lowest) to ~60c (and that's just idling on the temps/fans screen in BIOS; the processor should not be under ANY load whatsoever, right?) That seems a bit hot for a chip that isn't doing anything, and ambient temps in the room are never above 74f so it's not like I'm running this thing in a hot-box broom closet...

However, once I boot up and launch speedfan (or any other temp. utility, they all say the same thing so far...) the readings from "core" and "temp 3" have identical peaks and valleys when plotted on a graph, but with a 12 degree difference between them (I.E. when "core" is reading 10c, "temp 3" reads 22c.

And yeah, they read that low when the machine is booted into windows, and not doing much of anything else. There's NO WAY it's running that cold at "idle" while in the OS environment.

So bottom line, I have no way of knowing what temperature my CPU is actually running at, which obviously makes safe overclocking VERY tricky business.

Not that big of an issue. I am a bit of a tech-tweaker, and I like to squeeze every bit of power I can out of my gear, but for the price, I'll get over it...

5 out of 5 eggsDoesn't seem to like Mushkin memory

Pros: Works fine with compatible memory. Nice compact form factor that was easy to work with in the case.

Cons: I'm not docking it any eggs because it's my fault for not checking the compatibility list, but I wanted to note here that this board doesn't seem to like Mushkin memory. I made the mistake of buying some for it, and the system was horribly unstable (could not even boot consistently to the BIOS screen). I swapped in an 8 GB stick of ADATA RAM from my desktop system and it works fine. Looking now at the compatibility list, I see there is almost no Mushkin memory listed, and given my experience I would avoid that combination if at all possible.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to go with an A8-7670K in my DVR system. Very happy with it aside from the memory issue (which, again, was my fault). Over HDMI it outputs 4k to my new TV no problem.

5 out of 5 eggsGood board; no graphics

Pros: Good board, nice BIOS. I would not expect much more for 50 bucks!

Cons: No on board graphics -- and they don't make that very obvious. If you are not installing an APU, your MUST have a graphics card (unless it's going to be a headless system). I installed a fast quad-core FM2+ chip, and had no graphics video output! I dug a long time before I got confirmation that the on-board graphics had not failed -- it has none! It has only 4 SATA pots.

5 out of 5 eggsFANTASTIC Mobo

Pros: Very inexpensive

Cons: NONE (considering we are talking about a micro-atx board for under $50)

Other Thoughts: I have this paired up with an A10-6800K APU, 8GB (2x4GB) of GSkill Sniper series DDR3-1866, and a Sapphire HD 6670 2GB ddr3 graphics card. Got them all on sale (purchased separately) for right at $200.I will confidently put my rig up against most $700 systems! I have never had a bad experience with Gigabyte, and will continue to buy they're products.

3 out of 5 eggsNot Working

Pros: Easy to setup, Nice Bios options

Cons: Everything was working until I received the other ram stick in the mail, Once installed I didnt get a signal to the monitor, keyboard or mouse. The keyboard and mouse was new and to find out if it was the monitor I hooked it up to my hdmi tv and I didnt get any signal there either. The power button will not turn the computer off even if I hold it down. I have to hit the switch on the power supply to turn it off. I have switched the ram sticks out tried each of them in the different spots including just having one stick in. I have also taken the power connectors off and connected them back to the motherboard. and lastly I took the battery out to try and clear the memory but all of these didnt work with getting the motherboard to get signal out. Please help me with this issue!

1 out of 5 eggsUnable to load Windows

Pros: Cheap
Cool
Looks great
Lots of extra ports

Cons: Windows is unable to install to any hard drives connected to it and the AHCI drivers on Gigabyte's website don't work. I've tried 3 different hard drives (Zotac SSD, WD HDD, Seagate HDD) and none come up. They show up in BIOS, but the Windows drivers do not work. I'm giving them a chance to provide working drivers before I send it back for something else. I have installed Windows on hundreds of machines and I've never had problems like this before.

Other Thoughts: Crossing my fingers and hope that their Technical Support will be able/willing to help. Will report back on progress.

2 out of 5 eggsThis one however is an unfortunate miss...

Pros: -cost effective

Cons: -Was DOA
-Didn't include system speaker (good thing I keep a spare)

Other Thoughts: Lesson learned for trying to cut corners to save a few bucks. The two egg rating is for Newegg's awesome return policy.
