Wont run any OS on RCA/Svideo
- Pros: Small, booted great with VGA port. Hassle free with ubuntu, as long as you use the VGA port. Got xp pro running on it after many long hours of fighting it. Every MS OS I tried, was headache after headache on this board.
- Cons: Anytime the Svideo or RCA is enabled, svideo, rca, and vga get disabled! OS boots, sounds work, but all video outputs are dead. You need to clear the cmos to get the vga port working again.
- Other Thoughts: Was really happy with it at first, now im wishing I never wasted my $$$ on it. Further, I wish I had tried running it in the actual car on the RCA / svideo connectors before posting my first review. MSI support is useless.
so far so good
- Pros: Very small, ultra low power consumption, fairly fast considering, easy setup! Cheapest way to make carputer that has some decent power, without killing your battery. Worked with IDE cdrom + 16 gig CF card, hassle free!
- Cons: Does NOT come with a power connector.
- Other Thoughts: Lack of power pack solved by grabbing a dead psu, and cutting off the 4 pin molex plug. then connect a cigg lighter adapter (or 12v, 1amp wall power plug) to it. (2 pins towards latch are +12v, bottom 2 are -12v).
