alright for the money
- Pros: lots and lots of features. boots quickly. DVI and D-Sub. etc. read the specs
- Cons: for overclockers, this board's bios will not let you change the CPU voltage. 24-pin power connector is really close to the IDE spot.
- Other Thoughts: running an amd kuma 7850 with ddr2 1066 kingston hyperx ram. ram has to be manually set to 1066 and 5-5-5-15. was able to get the 2.8GHz kuma to 3.1GHz by changing the multiplier.
Works Great
- Pros: Good, solid board. With a BIOS update, will also do AM3.
- Cons: Not many cons that I have found, but I don't do anything fancy with these boards as far as pushing them to their limits.
- Other Thoughts: I use these boards in the white boxes that I spec out for work, so we probably have at least 20 or 30 (if not more) machines running this board at my work environment. We haven't had any trouble at all with them.
Good Board, Iffy Build Quality
- Pros: Lots of features, fast and easy install. Price point makes it a good buy for a fast system on a budget. Graphics are fine for most users, unless heavy gaming is your thing.
- Cons: VGA port did not function on first board. DVI output worked fine, but had to RMA board due to VGA issue. Like most boards, cheap or otherwise, build quality continues to be an issue. As always, Newegg rocks for RMAs!
- Other Thoughts: I've always liked MSI boards for their features and performance. One glitch won't sour me on them. Two, on the other hand...
