Passed the test.
- Pros: Cheap SLi MB. Reliable brand for me.
- Cons: SLi runs at 8X / 8X
- Other Thoughts: MSI has been a good brand for my use. I have not had a MSI board fail on me yet. I have had 3 out of 5 gigaboards fail on me, and I understood that brand was a topshelf board. This MSI board is replacing a gigaboard in my personal machine, It gave-up after 2 years. As long as I keep having sucess with MSI, I will be a loyal customer. I have built 6 MSI machines, and they are all still working. First one in 2004.
Good board, Great Price
- Pros: Worked first time I booted, and has worked well so far. SLi works, and works well.
Instructions were also very clear and detailed.
For the performance and price, I would recommend to anyone on a budget.
- Cons: System seems to get shaky when using software oc utilities, but oc thru the bios has worked well for me...getting the Phenom 8750 BE soon...anxious to see if the oc abilities live up to the hype :)
- Other Thoughts: I've seen that there are a few bad reviews about this board, although, most are good. Seems like those that gave bad reviews abused their board (i.e. run it with Phenom 9950 BE 140w processor - this board only supports up to 95w...etc).
I did a lot of research before purchasing this board, and decided to go with this one due to the positive reviews, features, and low price.
I've only had this board for a month, but so far I am more than pleased.
great bang for your buck
- Pros: Great Price and does what it says it does. bios is simple and easy to config.
- Cons: included msi utilities (dual core center) crashes
