4 out of 5 eggsMOBO Comeback!

Pros: At a price like this, you would expect to get OK performance...But surprisingly this motherboard is one BAD*SS! I have never used a motherboard before that has been as simple as this one in Overclocking features. Besides the AMAZING BIOS interface, it has a very handy On-Board feature which allows you to swap around a tiny chip to adjust your level of overclocking. I mean seriously...How easy and awesome is that!?

One last feature of **AWESOMENESS** that I will mention is it's ability to configure a RAID using your onboard SATA connections. And depending on which set you use, you can configure different types of RAID.

Cons: The only negative comment I have is that when I first bought this motherboard, it was an open box item. Now, I know I was taking a risk when doing that, but when a product has been *Re-certified* then it means that it now works...REGARDLESS OF ITS PREVIOUS STATE. So when Newegg sells a *Re-certified item, I expect it to be (at the very least) in working order. This is my only reason for taking off 1 egg. Sorry folks...

Other Thoughts: At this point in time, this specific motherboard is out-dated by other, more featured and amazing ones. Regardless, I feel the need to provide as much information as I can about a specific product so that the readers can gain some understanding as far as what features the old models had and how the new models benefit from inheriting some of those features. INFORMATION IS KEY.

5 out of 5 eggsFast and Cheap!

Pros: Fast and Cheap! has some great overclocking features my e5200 O/C to 3.5 Gighz on air (Rosewill Cooler) nice no hickups had drivers for Vista 64 on the disk! Im very happy with it so far!

Cons: Memory modules are to close to PCIE x16 slot if you use a longer Video card

Other Thoughts: Was impressed for such an inexpensive m/b

4 out of 5 eggsWorks fine, but update that BIOS!

Pros: Worked right out of the box. But I had BIOS version 1.3, which does not work with GeForce 9000 series nVidia cards. I updated the BIOS to the newest (1.9), and Bingo! no video card problem. I used the Jcom RAID driver while installing Vista, and it worked flawless. Actually pretty simple, compared to most RAID setups. The board isn't made for speed, but that's no problem with me. Overall, it's been very stable and steady. I love the 8 SATA ports.

Cons: Can't think of any.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is absolutely the best for computer components! They just can't be beat for speedy shipping, value, and selection. Thanks, Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely LOVE this MOBO

Pros: This board just works - no problems with it at all. This is the second one I have purchased. My first one has been running about a year or so and I have not had a single glitch. With the Intel q6600 chip, it does everything I could possibly need it to do and more.

Cons: Non so far.

2 out of 5 eggsRMA'ed

Pros: Decent features for the price, BIOS fairly easy to understand.

Cons: I bought this board towards the end of last year. It arrived with the network not functioning correctly but I had a PCI network card so I didn't worry about it. Around 8 months later, it starts locking up 9 times out of 10 either in windows or at the post screen. Finally, a couple days ago it died completely, not posting video anymore. After messing with it on and off for 2-3 weeks, I narrowed it down to the motherboard, RMA'ed it and bought a Gigabyte to replace it. So far the computer works great now. I'm not sure what I'll do with this board when it comes back, maybe put it in a computer where it doesn't matter so much if the board dies again.

Other Thoughts: Looks like lots of other people are having the same problems as I did. If you're thinking about buying this board, do yourself a favor and at least consider spending $10-$20 more for a Gigabyte first.

2 out of 5 eggsNothing but issues...

Pros: Adequate board for what you pay.

Cons: I have had the board about 2 months now and first I started getting video hanging, then a bad checksum, and finally no posting. It is not the video card since I have used both an 8800gts and a 3850 and have gotten the same problems. The support on their site is minimal, so it seems like I was just hit with a $100 board that can't perform at all.

Other Thoughts: System:
700w OCZ Power Supply (w/ 4x 12v rails)
Nvidia 8800gts / ATI 3850
4gb DDR2 800 Crucial
E5200
74gb Raptor hdd

2 out of 5 eggscame back

Pros: $$$, and that's about it

Cons: After having this motherboard since June of 2008, it started behaving oddly just in the last month. Some times it does not boot either Operating Systems (be it Ubuntu or XP). Also, I had to change the RAM speed to 1000 from 1066 as I just could not boot. Tried various BIOSes from latest to way down to 1.4 with no luck. Finally opted out for replacement. You may be lucky as I seen people have bad and great results from this board.

Other Thoughts: This is an update to my earlier review of when I just purchased this mb (June 10, 2008 17:11:33)

4 out of 5 eggsNice, but odd.

Pros: Very nice looking MB, runs every one of my components, and has not failed me yet.

Cons: ONLY thing I can find to be a problem with this MB is umm... Why does the grammar seem a bit... stupid..??? LOL, I swear, my MB has the most stupid spelling but not really that I care, but it's still a Con whether it's effective or not.

Other Thoughts: haha the other guy is dumb, this thing runs my E5200 OC'd @ 3.8 right now but using 1.48 VCore, my HD4850, and my crucial ballistix ddr2 RAM @ 400 MHz each stick, 4-4-4-12. hahahahahaha n00b and this is literally the first computer I've ever built, or even messed with the inside for that matter. also, i'm wondering why my CPU shows up @ 4.18 GHz in properties of My Computer? lol funny though :P

2 out of 5 eggsCan't use E5200 ?!

Pros: Cheap

Cons: I updated the latest Bios ver.1.6
But still can't use Intel E5200 CPU!
CPU is good because I can boot on another mobo.
Now I'm using E6550.

Other cons is there is only one pci-e X16 and one pci-e 1x
you can't use this pci-e 1x if you have an high-end graphics card which usually occupies two slots.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Hmm. First Lil over $100 bucks, can't beat it. Works great, I haven't overclocked, but there is great overclocking abilities; great cooling.. Do not need them but 8 sata ports.

Cons: MSI's automatic update thing is confusing and annoying. I recommend not using it.

Other Thoughts: It looks cool. Come on...
