5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I bought this board in 2010 and its been running strong ever since. It gets a little glitch y with the usb system sometimes but overall, I have nothing negative to say about it. Most of the positive reviews before me were right on the money in regards to the features, I just wanted to throw this one in to state that after 3 years of constant hard running, it's still serving me well! Thank you MSI!

Cons: none that matter

Other Thoughts: actually the best board I've ever owned so far

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mobo, very pleased

Pros: Solid caps, charges my iPad, unlocked two extra cores of my $60 CPU turning it into a ~$150 CPU, BIOS reset button right on the board (came in handy), absolutely fantastic overclocking options, both in BIOS and in Windows (you can use AMD's Overdrive or the MSI utility, so there's lots of flexibility) including auto overclock for those who aren't quite sure what they're doing yet. Supports Phenom II CPUs. Stable as hell.

Cons: Not much info on how CPU core unlocking works, manual wasn't any help. Just make sure you set ACC to auto (IIRC) in the BIOS and you're good to go. The manual in general could be better, but it isn't the worst I've seen by far.

Other Thoughts: I got this because it was the only decent AMD mobo available from Best Buy.com, and I had a gift certificate from there. All in all, I'm very pleased, this mobo will last a very long time.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: runs as advertised. tons of bios options. someone mentioned disappointment with these, but mine has full control of voltages and memory timings, as well as oc options and your basic bios settings.

Cons: the cpu is quite close to the ram. the stock cooler from my phenomII 945 does not interfere at all. if your only running 2 dimms, you can also just place them in the far channels. but a large heat sink and 4 dimm will not work in this.

5 out of 5 eggsNice.

Pros: Had it for a year.. have a few problems with it but not too bad. See cons.

Cons: I don't know if it's just my motherboard but it doesn't run 1600 MHZ RAM very well. I had to overclock the NB CPU a bit and run my RAM at 1333 in order to get my 1600 of RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good For Vedio Editing

Pros: Support for AM3 socket, very good for video editing. My wife does a lot of video editing using Pinnacle's. I was impressed when I saw her using a different machine. Comparing the speed between the two. MSI was much faster, I'm even using the on-board video card. I'm suing raid on Vesta 64.

Cons: Had to RMA first one, the second that I'm using now came with a little bend on the network socket that made it not work. After finding the bent pin and fixed with a thin screw driver. It worked like a charm.

Other Thoughts: Performance is superb on this motherboard. very responsive to all application even video editing and making video DVDs.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good Motherboard

Pros: It's a very good board Ive been playing games like world of warcraft/call of duty and Ive over-clocked my processor using the OC switch it accepted my graphics card with no problems and all my hardware for that matter I would recommend this to anyone

Cons: Really there is no cons but the wiring diagram could be more clear it took me a little longer to find what i did wrong after looking at 3-4 youtube vids I found the problem

Other Thoughts: This is the first time building a pc, it wasnt very hard after getting videos on people doing it and buying a lesser one for 40$ and dissassembling it and then reassembleing it over and over till i got used to it

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Plenty of USB ports
Easy to install, easy to overclock, if that is your thing and has everything you could possibly want out of a motherboard. The blue lights inside can be turned off in the bios.

Cons: just find the right driver and there should be no cons.

Other Thoughts: my power supply is less than 500watts and i have no problems with my:
Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD4670 PCIe 2.0 Graphics Card, 1GB

AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0GHz Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Processor ADX250OCGQBOX(waiting for an X8)

G.SKILL 4GB (4 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-2GBNQ

4 out of 5 eggsGood MB

Pros: USB 3.0, eSATA, 6.0 GB/s SATA, and military grade hardware. Bought this MB with a Phenom II 2.8 GHz for less than $200 after rebates at an electronics store. Can't beat that deal sine the processor costs that amount.

Cons: CPU fan was pegged out when I first built the machine. After lots of troubleshooting with AMD and MSI, it ended up being a BIOS setting for fan speed. Once I got that set, this machine has been a dream.

Would not boot when certain USB devices were plugged in. It was my printer. That's what I get for getting an HP.

Other Thoughts: Paired with AMD Phenom II 2.8 GHz processor and GTX 260 SC Edition. Excellent machine.

3 out of 5 eggsEh

Pros: I am not pleased about giving this thing 3 eggs, but I have to acknowledge it starts and runs, it hasn't caught on fire and it hasn't done aggravated me since I got it running. And I like the power switch on the board. But please read the cons below. There are some funky things with this board. I really can't recommend it for anyone who can't do a lot of their own troubleshooting.

Cons: When I first got this board it appeared to be DOA. I wasn't sure if it was the chip (955 BE) or the board, no POST, no life, nothing. I put in other 955s we had, I put that 955 in other boards... but that one 955 + this board = nothing. Makes me really, really leery of trusting this board. Or that chip.

The memory slots are REALLY close to the CPU. I have a very modest aftermarket cooler (CM HyperT3) in there and getting a stick into the 1st slot wouldn't happen. Don't get this board if you need a big cooling solution or plan to use all the slots.

And here's one... the CPU bracket on my board is defective. I can't fully mount a heatsink to it. The plastic is deformed in such a way the latch can't fully sink in. I've got it pretty firmly attached right now, but I can see it merrily popping free.

Other Thoughts: I accept hardware is sometimes DOA and comes with weirdness. Everytime I buy something I recognize that hey, I could open it and it could be dead. But this board has been nothing but a chore and a pain. I have it working now, but I don't have a lot of faith in it staying that way. It was $125, so I won't cry too much. If the heatsink pops free, I've got a CPU in there I don't care about frying. I'll use it until it gives up life, and then flush it without a tear.

But for me, I can live with it. I think for the single-computer-eggs-all-in-one-basket user this board is a "pass" It's not so amazingly good that arguing with it is worth it. There are other comparable boards that are much less "fritzy"
