4 out of 5 eggsgood while it lasted

Pros: Went together easily without having to tweak. (Was) good mb after 18 months need to replace. The mb would no longer read the ram in 1st slot correctly. very dissappointed, booted W7 pro in 45 sec. from Day1

Cons: I really did not expect to replace this after only 18 mo. Reliabity of MSI questioned as mb no longer available. I have a build with an Asus board still running like a champ after 3 years.

Other Thoughts: Probably wont use msi again.

3 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted

Pros: Great price when this board was available. For me MSI had always been the number one choice due to price and reliability of their products.

Cons: I have owned this board since 3/22/2010, since early last year this board will crash with no indication of why. I have tried different OS, win xp and win 7 but have the same issue. I ran a few stress test and it willpass them all but as soon as it is at idle it will crash. I am running a 4 disk raid 5 with 1 IDE drive for the OS, 4 gigs of OC ram and an AMD Athlon x4 propus. For troubleshooting I have replaced the memory, power supply and swapped out the HDs with known good ones that I use with another machine but the machine will continue to crash.

Other Thoughts: I have always been an MSI fan boy but I had issues with my last 2 MSI boards (bought years apart) so I will buy an ASUS and see how that goes. I know that companies some times read this reviews so MSI if you are reading this and would like to help out please let me know and I would be willing to give you another try thanks.

4 out of 5 eggsGood while it lasted

Pros: Decent motherboard for the price. Allowed me to overclock my AMD Athlon II X2 245 to 3.45 GHz. Was stable.

Cons: MSi driver install interface always seems to lag. I wish they could implement a smoother (faster running UI) interface. I'm not sure why it takes so long.

The motherboard failed after about two and a half years for no apparent reason.

The price didn't seem to drop at all while it was still available.

Other Thoughts: It is disappointing to see it is no longer available here. I was hoping to avoid calling Microsoft about reactivating Windows, but alas, I must.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the cost

Pros: Extremely affordable, painless installation, working great so far, angled SATA ports

Cons: no PCI-E slot

Other Thoughts: Got more than what I paid for. Looking for a budget build? This isn't a bad mobo if you're not concerned about upgrading your video card past PCI-E (x16)

2 out of 5 eggsStill not sure what to think..

Pros: The good part, the pros. This board was easily the best option for the money. The only board I found with PCI-E x1, and PCI-E x16, DDR3/AM3 support. This board has turned out to be a pretty nice little board. Its dimensions were ideal for me. The board installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 without a hitch, and has been fairly stable. Enough to recommend it and use it again. I liked the color layout of the board a lot, as it fit my theme. The last point is what brings me to the cons.

Cons: The motherboard itself is pretty good, my main discrepancy is with Newegg on this one. The picture of the motherboard is a red PCB, the motherboard I received was black-brown PCB with blue accents. This threw me for a loop and if I had the time, I would have RMAd it. I had a custom build for a customer that had a full red theme, so this board was a pretty important part of it. Thankfully I was able to work around the board's color and with the customer's requests. I had to do extensive work to this board, including painting certain parts and dissembling certain parts to get the colors right. All because of an outdated picture. My next con is with the front panel input header on the board. It was not documented on the PCB itself as to what goes where, this board, I'm assuming was meant as a replacement, as it is clearly meant for the intel standard plug. Had to use a plug I had lying around as a reference.

Other Thoughts: The board really is pretty nice. It has PCI-E x1 and PCI-E x16, even if it is 1.1 or whatever, that;'s not big hindrance really. It's like the HyperTransport thing, it won't matter in the user experience much.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, works, good for random htpc or file storage stuff. Onboard video is good enough for 720p video with absolutely no issue (suspect 1080p would work fine too).

Cons: A bit cramped on the board, cable management & etc can get iffy. D-sub only video output is :(

5 out of 5 eggsNothing Wrong with this board

Pros: Easy install. Windows 7 Prof. 32 installed without a glitch. Using an Athlon II 250 with 4G crucial 1333 memory. Fired right up and haven't looked back. Very stable. Windows 7 has no issues. Real Tech audio 24 bit. AM3 supported. Using the BIOS it came with. Updated drivers from MSI have no issues.

Cons: PCI-X 1.0 but it is x16.

Other Thoughts: Using a 300W power supply I had lying around so its obviously easy on the gas. No problems. Repaired an old HP system for a friend that the MB died in. I want to point out that it shows as a 6150SE but it is actually a GeForce 7025/nForce 630a.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: it fit in the case. thats about the only good thing i can think of

Cons: horrible board, horrible company. just received this board and its d.o.a just like the reviews say about this board. i took a chance and it wasn't a good one. board is being replaced with a much better company board. 2 other customers that i built computers for are experiencing problems with the same company. never using msi again.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -almost 100% reliable (see cons)
-good power consumption
-adequate amount of usb ports

Cons: -somewhat finicky about booting with some usb devices attached. hangs at splash screen, though it does post eventually. for this reason it was relieved of duty in my car pc and now lives happily as a home server

4 out of 5 eggsgood board

Pros: nice lil board, low power consump with good specs, ddr3, am3 its compatable with a lot of cpu's all the way up to a quad witch is good in the long run but my 3.1 dual works great for now. got a 400w dynex psu running it the thing never breaks a sweat, always runs around 28-32 under load! I even turned the fans down to 55% the stock amd was getting on my nerves still runs around 29-34! cant wait to get my new gpu and see what this thing will do in crysis.

Cons: dosent like my 9600 for some reson... and gave me lots of problems in win 7 64bit for some reson, but xp runs fine? the over clock switches dont work, or at least for my cpu anyway

Other Thoughts: makes an excelant lunix box! wish the 64bit 7 worked better i think it may be a driver issue with the cpu and mother board that caused the headaches, hopefuly an upgrade to a phenom quad core will solve the problems... ill update down the road.
