The integrated ATI Radeon HD 3000 chipset can be augmented with one PCI Express 2.0 x16 graphics card to achieve better 3D performance with ATI Hybrid CrossFireX technology. Video can be output through the DVI, D-Sub or HDMI ports and accompanied by eight channels of sound from the Realtek High-End audio chipset with Blu-ray audio support. Five 3Gb/s SATA connectors give you the ability to store massive amounts of data locally with several RAID configurations possible for extra security and high-speed performance and an eSATA port provides the same capabilities for an external drive.

4 out of 5 eggsBudget server board

Pros: Inexpensive. Supports up to 16gb of DDR3 memory. Five on-board SATA 3Gb/s ports. HDMI, DVI and eSATA on back panel. Compatible with the Zalman CNPS 8900. Runs cool (with the help of the Zalman fan).

Cons: Only one PCIe 1x slot. Four of the SATA connectors are arranged at right angles, which precludes their use in small cases like the Antec MicroFusion 350 and for that I'm knocking off an egg.

Other Thoughts: I bought one of these in August 2010 and recently dusted it off for a server build. It's installed in a Cooler Master Elite case with a 2x8gb Corsair Vengeance pair, Zalman 8900 110mm cooler and Propus quad-core.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Didn't work when I purchased. Returned and got a Foxconn board that has worked well for over a year now and going.

Cons: Didn't work.

Other Thoughts: Unsure on MSI's quality of products not but I may try them again in the future.

2 out of 5 eggsNot Quiet Right

Pros: Cheap. Good variety of on board connection options

Cons: Poor manufacturing quality. The solder sites on the bottom of the board extend down far enough to short out the board against the case. I have a standard case which I have used two other boards in without problems but this one shorted. Took a long time and lots of troubleshooting to discover the problem.

Other Thoughts: This particular product is discontinued but I will stay away from MSI motherboards in the future as this is not a unique problem to this particular board model. The MSI forum has numerous examples of the same problem with many MSI models.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: Plenty of hookups for me, fit great in my case, was affordable and looks great, haven't had any problems and the unlocking cpu feature is great and very simple to use.

Cons: I did not read about the 4 blue LED's that are on the motherboard and flash on and off when in use.

5 out of 5 eggsMotherboard review

Pros: First time builder, so I wasn't sure what to go with. However, with my computing needs, this fit the bill nicely. Plenty of features, including an auto-overclock feature for those that would prefer not to mess with BIOS settings, onboard surround sound chipset, the potential for 16 GB of RAM, etc....probably not ideal for a monster system, but then again you probably already knew that.

Cons: Vague instructions/documentation made familiarization with this board interesting, but nothing that staring intently at the board, and then the instructions, and then the board again for a few minutes couldn't take care of.

Other Thoughts: Wish it would have come with just ONE more PCIe 2.0 slot. But, I very much got what I paid for, and it works great. No major compaints here.

Seems well made, capacitors hold on tight.
Bios is nice

Cons: Micro ATX
No USB 3.0 or Sata III

Other Thoughts: Cheap board that gets the job done for a cheaper PC build.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: cheap price, seemed to offer what was needed

Cons: Would not post with the fx cpu combo from newegg. Tried a sempron and that time it would not turn on. DOA. Talked with tech support and was informed that the fx processor would not work. (Why would newegg sell as combo?). You may need another cheap cpu to get it running and be able to update the cpu. I don't know as I got an asus MB that worked.
