5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Great mATX Board, lots of features, few issues, overclocking works well.

Cons: Sometimes the BIOS had issues with settings that should have been fine, didn't set SATA drives to AHCI by default, had some issues selecting the correct boot items later in it's life.

Other Thoughts: MSI is great. I got this board just under 3 years ago, and this was one of the first boards manufactured with a 3 year warranty (Newegg's description is wrong). Last week the board died, and MSI has been fantastic in the RMA Process. It was approved quickly, and after MSI received it, they had a new board out to me the next day. I'm so glad I pulled the trigger on this board.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: I bought this to replace a faulty board from another manufacturer. So far, it seems fast and solid. I haven't tried any of the overclocking functions due to the 'intel standard' heatsink I'm using. Virtual surround sound works great. Two x16 PCIE slots, in case I ever decide to use crossfire. Plenty of SATA ports. *EIGHT* cores show up in windows with an Intel i7-870! I know this is normal, but it's still cool.

Cons: Deducted one star for the following reasons: No PCI slots, on-board sound stutters in the only game I've tried that supports surround sound (works great in stereo with virtual surround), and I lost windows and had to re-load the O/S and all my software about a week after I began using this board. *It is possible that the last two problems had nothing to do with the hardware*

Other Thoughts: I wish it had USB3.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for video processing

Pros: Built the computer for video processing, using core i5-650 to use the built in video. One of the few boards in the mATX form factor that included an integral firewire port.

Cons: The manual lacks a lot of information so it helps to have some previous computer building experience.

Other Thoughts: Pretty solid mobo, had it for about three months and nothing to complain about.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat HTPC Board

Pros: Plugged everything in and it fired right up, and has been working flawlessly ever since. Great board for HTPC: HDMI output, slots for x2 Hauppauge 2250, 3 fan headers.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: My HTPC build:

Moneual LAB MonCaso 312b case, MSI H57M-ED65 motherboard, Intel Core i3-530 Clarkdale processor, 4GB G.SKILL DDR3, COOLER MASTER Silent Pro M600 power supply, LG UH10LS20 Blu-ray, Scythe SCSK-1100 100mm Shuriken Rev. B CPU fan, x3 SUNON HA40201V4-0000-C99 40mm case fans, Win 7 Premium.

5 out of 5 eggsmmm mmm

Pros: Sweet, easy install! Worked well with my RIP JAWS ram.
Was never a fan of MSI boards, always seemed flakey. This one has been rock solid with BIOS 1.4. Carefull though, It was shiped with 1.1 and some cpus will not be recognised. All in all ot rocks! Enjoy!!

Cons: None so far!

Other Thoughts: Wished I knew what the crossfire link speed was? 4x or 8x? Not a big deal though my 5850 runs everything I need as is..

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent mobo

Pros: Works flawlessly with my i5-750 and 8 GB Corsair DDR3 1600. Using the Cooler Master GeminII S cooler and everything's awesome. No, the i5-750 does NOT support the onboard video chipset, but I couldn't care less about that, my video card is far better.

Cons: USB 3.0 would be nice, but meh, not too big of a deal. A $15 PCI-E card added 3.0 just fine.

Other Thoughts: MSI boards have always been good to me, never a single issue with any of them. Highly recommend this mobo if you're looking for a great Intel mATX.

4 out of 5 eggsOn-board SATA RAID

Pros: Straight-forward build w/ Core i3-530, 4GB, twin mirrored 1TB SATA's, Win 7. It is F A S T ! The IDE HDD controller came in very handy when I could not get Win 7 to recognize an external.

Cons: The manual is kinda sketchy on getting to the <ctrl>+<I> to get the On-board SATA RAID config'd. To do so see Other Thoughts.

Other Thoughts: To set up the On-board SATA RAID, in BIOS, set Integrated Peripherals (IP), RAID Mode to AHCI and set IP, On-Chip ATA Devices, RAID Mode to RAID. If that doesn't get you the <ctrl>+<I> screen, you may have to hit F6 duing POST, re-check the above settings, and re-boot yet again.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Motherboard out of the Box.

Pros: Excellent build quality. 7 Sata ports. Solid Caps. Raid support. Onboard scores a 5.6 in WEI. More then enough to support what i do on a daily basis. Lots of bios options.

Cons: OC Genie is useless IMHO. I didnt enjoy it. But if you buy this board for that feature alone then your useless as well. I/O panel didnt align with ports at first, after some adjusting they went in fine. Ethernet sticks a little but i never unplug it anyways.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a solid board. Heavy and well built. Steep price compared to h55 counterparts but i think you get what you pay for overall.
