Build your next computer with the powerful P55A-G55 motherboard by MSI.
Take advantage of the powerful multi-core Intel i7 and i5 processors with this board's 1156 socket. You'll benefit from the most powerful and fastest video processing around when you install two ATI video cards in CrossFireX configuration. You'll also get more power from the OC Genie with Super Unlock that releases the potential of your CPU in an easy and simple way. And thanks to the dual channel, up to 16GB DDR3 memory support, onboard USB 3.0 and Gigabit Ethernet ports, the SATA 6Gbps support and lossless HD audio, this board offers everything you need to build your power system. Plus, the military class components add unparalleled durability and reliability to this board.
Fantastic, apart from one thing.
Pros: Fits in the NZXT M59 case like a glove, plenty of room for 2x460s, boots nice and quick and has excellent over-clocking potential.
Cons: The only reason I gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5 is because it lacks an SLI bridge, even though it's advertised that it's an SLI-ready board. It took me ages to find an SLI bridge by itself (eventually had to get one from a friend.) Sure, I could have ordered one - but the board should have come with one in the first place.

Great features for the price
Pros: SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3, RAID, Whats not to like! It does what it is advertised to do. Marvell RAID chip boots faster than any other RAID capable motherboard I have worked with.
Cons: The slow boot is mostly due to the Marvell onboard RAID chip. That is to be expected with RAID.
Other Thoughts: I haven't owned this MOBO for a month yet, so my review is a little preemptive. the MSI product page says it supports SLI, I will have to wait and see. Also Ubuntu linux does not fully support the P55 chipset, ex. I cant get suspend to work. Not a motherboard con, just something to be aware of.

Pros: The Board works, it has Sata 6 ports which I wanted for my Crucial Sata 6 SSD. It is the cheapest board with this option. Shutdown and application loading now much improved (likely due to the SSD drive and better processor)
Cons: I am running an i7 750, 2 gb DDR3, and the Crucial SSD drive. Bootup is significantly SLOWER than my old CoreDuo 1.8, 2 gb DDR2, and regular 7200 hard drive running Win7. It is like the Board stalls for 5 seconds on the MSI splash screen before even trying to boot Windows.
Other Thoughts: Anyone else had this problem??? Fixes in BIOS??

Pros: Works as planned.
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: I used this Mobo to build my first PC. I wanted to do a relatively cheap build that I could upgrade later if I wanted to make a gaming PC or whatever. I'm running it with an i3/4gb ram/350w ps/cheapo ATI 4350 video card. What can I say? It worked like a charm first time I turned it on, and a few weeks later it hasnt blown up or anything. Now I have the option of putting in a nice processor or a couple of video cards if I want.
