3 out of 5 eggsHT Link problems

Pros: Works well when it works. Good price. Overclockable, but I had problems just getting it to stay stable for games.

Cons: Occasionally the HT Link speed will exceed the north bridge frequency causing lockups. This happens when it is under load and during games after about 5 minutes. Underclocking your HT Link increases stability. I recommend underclocking it to 1800 or even 1600 mhz. Also has issues with the usb peripherals not working on startup so devices either have to be re plugged in or other times the port just does not work.

Other Thoughts: Good price but buying this motherboard is hit or miss. Bought the extended warranty for another year because it could fail. Motherboard has stability problems with no overclocking.

5 out of 5 eggsNice for the price

Pros: Decent price for a decent board.
No major problems as of yet, and handles my mid-range computer.

AMD Athlon II X3 450 Rana 3.2 GHz
EVGA GTX 460 Superclocked
CORSAIR Builder Series CX600 V2 600W
2x 4 Gigs of DDR3 1333 Ram

Cons: Had a sudden reboot shortly after turning on my PC, but I don't know if that's the boards fault or something else.
Hasn't happened anymore, hopefully it won't.

Other Thoughts: Again, a great board for my mid-range standards.
I've yet to utilize the OC Genie.

1 out of 5 eggsA disappointment

Pros: !=

Cons: failed

Other Thoughts: A few years ago I purchased an MSI board that had some issues, so I swore them off... I thought I would give them another try recently since the specs and price seemed like a good dea for this boardl. My mistake. The board sort of worked at first: all but two of the USB ports did not work... The next day the board stopped posting at all. Had to RMA it. Asked for a refund so I can get a board from a different company.
I have been doing this for awhile and am no stranger to troubleshooting a system. The board simply failed.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued MSI Customer,

Best Regards,

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Installed perfectly, booted properly first time. I have a Athlon II x3 455 Rana chip and it unlocked perfectly. Not only that but it's stable and cool with my Hyper 212+

As far as the sleep issues I have read about, you need to go in Bios, and change from S1 to S3, and it will sleep the whole computer. I figured that out with about 2 minutes of research.

OC works like a charm, but with 4 cores at 3.3... I haven't really needed it. I do have a 7.3 WEI now, and am pretty impressed with this board.

Cons: I am now wishing I would have gone with a full size board, but if you don't need Crossfire, this is the board for you.

Other Thoughts: Specs:
AMD Athlon II x3 455 Rana 3.3ghz unlocked to Phenom II x4 B55
Corsair 1333 DDR 3 Ram 8gigs (2x4gig)

600W PSU
Coolermaster Hyper 212+ CPU Cooler

1 out of 5 eggsBad Board

Pros: Works good when it does.

Cons: Board only works for a couple of months then stops working. Have gone through 3 RMA's since Jan 2011. Also memory sockets too close to CPU socket, certain CPU fans will cover ram slots making 2 of the sockets unusable.
