2 out of 5 eggsCheap but lasted just over 2 years.

Pros: Cheap in price.

Cons: Cool and quiet doesn't work, look at other reviews.

Not good at all for overclocking, research it unlike I did.

Blew 2 transistors (vrms?) next to CPU socket, now stuck in boot loop.

Lasted just over 2 years.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst RMA service

Pros: Lasted 2 years

Cons: RMA service has a 5 to 15 business day turn around. Which means that my client will be without a motherboard for the entire time. No advance RMA parts even with a credit card number.

Other Thoughts: Will not recommend this brand to anyone. Should have stuck with a Dell.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked for a couple of years

Pros: Ran fast and was happy with it until it just out and out died.

Cons: While I know nothing is made to last forever, not lasting more than 2 years is pretty pathetic. So much for "military grade" as it was kept in a nice clean environment and taken care of and didn't last more than 2 years.

Other Thoughts: Am extremely dissapointed with this product as it died on me on Mother's Day and I had only had the product for 2 years. This is the shortest life span of any mother board I have ever had and am not very happy with MSI right now.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked good for 18 months

Pros: Easy install, small, decent value

Cons: Not great service from MSI

Other Thoughts: Unit popped and sparked now won't turn on. Called MSI and it's going to take a few weeks to RMA. No option for advanced RMA or upgrade. Not very good service from MSI

4 out of 5 eggsGood board

Pros: Not to pricey has tuns of ports and 4 ram slots.

Cons: The board would not clock the CPU properly I had to manually set it up to run at its clock speed of 3.1GHZ easy fix but if you're less techy then you may think its broken.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked great for at least a year plus. Thought It would be all I needed. Installation was fine and documentation was sufficent.

Cons: Cons were Now it doesn't want to even boot to the msi 880-e41 screen. It goes to never never land. This board was not over clocked and was used basicly twice a week.

3 out of 5 eggswatch out

Pros: It wasnt doa.

Cons: low grade bridge heatsinks.

Other Thoughts: This mobo was offered as a combo with a athlon ii x3 3.3ghz that unlocked to a phenom ii x4 3.3ghz. it unlocks the l3 cache with no problem. But the multiplier has to be below x15.5 for my board in order for it not to crash during prime95, which brought my clock down to 3.2ghz

4 out of 5 eggsShort in the motherboard

Pros: The board was easy enough to install, worked perfectly for me for exactly one year.

Cons: The board shorted out without any previous problems. Corrupted the RAM, and had to replaces both components. This was the only problem in the year of use. I should have gotten the two or three year warranty. Just careful if you don't plan on getting the warranty.

3 out of 5 eggsPossible short...?

Pros: Easy to install components, goes well with Silverstone case for HTPC.

Cons: Possible short in the motherboard?

I installed this into this case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163158

After a while it started exhibiting bizarre behavior where it would restart itself CONSTANTLY. Didn't matter if I did a soft shutdown from Windows or a hard power down by holding down the power button on the case. It would come right back up. It would take several times to shut the thing off.

I noticed that I had no trouble shutting it down after waking the computer from sleep.

For a while, the computer simply would not start up. It would load into Windows startup repair. After a while it inexplicably stopped doing that. Not sure if that was Windows or something else.

Also, I haven't noticed the bizarre behavior recently, although I haven't been using the HTPC much for other reasons. It seems to have gotten better, although I can't say why. I'll admit it could be the Silverstone case power button lead, but haven't tested it extensively.

Other Thoughts: My boyfriend bought the same motherboard, case and components (shell shocker special) at the same time. He hasn't had a problem with is. Seems like I just got a quirky one.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear inkabink,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with this product.
Short in the chassis can happen if grounding measures were not done, or if an extra spacer had gotten into the way.
Please kindly try taking the board outside of chassis and set it on top of a non-conductive surface to verify if the symptom persists.

If problem persists, then please kindly visit the URL below to set up a RMA with the following information.
