Comments: This motherboard wile not being the best overclocker.. it is Very good when it comes to being Solid!
You cannot use one sata drive with this motherboard you must use to in a raid configuration.. and i have noticed temp. problems with this board.. But the Bios are good and simple an all around easy to understand baord :)

5 out of 5 eggsREFURB

Comments: Picked up this mobo for cheap. It replaces my Gigabyte GA-7VAXP KT400, that for some reason died on me last week. I'd have to say for the price I paid, almost half of retail, it is rock solid. Just swapped them out and booted right up, no re-intall of windows or nothing. Had no problems with the layout tho I'm using a Raidmax midcase.

The passive northbridge is nice. I have 8 fans running, there loud enough. I'm really happy with the board and am buying another for my son.

Setup:
Raidmax Scorpio 868 Black\8 quad red led 80mm fans
Thermaltake Volcano 6c
Althon Classic T-bird 1.4c 200fsb (OC'd to 1.6) 53C under load
1GB PC3200 DDR
80gb WD HD IDE
MSI G4 TI4800SE (stock)

I know she needs updating, but there isn't a game she can't run that more then playable and not at low settings :)

MSI is my preferred choice in boards now. Built one a while back for pops, NEO 2 for P4, and rock solid and even oc'd his 2.4HT to 3.0 easy with stock fan.

One thing I would have to say is MSI's 2 year warranty is teh suck.

To bad there outta stock! lol

Shipping rocked, NEWEGG 4tw!

5 out of 5 eggsworks well and great value

Comments: Have had this MD for about 6 months now. On the plus side: SATA RAID 1 mirrored my 160 GB HDs in a very short time. It recognized my athlon mobile barton cpu (after updating bios). great flexability for overclocking. all built in features (lan, audio, etc) work great. On the minus side: IDE location required a longer cable for my DVD drives (fixed with next order from newegg). CMOS jumper is in a location that is difficult to reach (encorages me to not mess with BIOS to much). 2 RAM slots (I am currently using 1 1GB stick so no big deal). All in all, still a great value. Thanks newegg.

Comments: Very solid assembly, only 2 layout issues, as stated elsewhere, the AGP card might block the SATA ports (my FX5200 doesn't), and no 1392. Graphics you need, firewire you really dont. Very important: pay attention in BIOS setup. The defaults are wierd, must reset almost everything, and manual isn't teribly clear about some things (FSB=1/2 CPU FSB, etc..). However, done correctly, this it the backbone of a good build, mine's a Barton 3200+, 512mb@PC3200,...can load spider solitaire in less than 1 second, I'm getting freecell past 35 FPS!!!
Not cutting edge, but with the right cpu+ram a good quality, flexible high performer with greta features and really decent all around capability. Wait for 64s to come down in $$ and get this.

Comments: got this motherboard in July O4 and it is OK but the thing I hate is the Jumper for cleaning Cmos in the left lower, since I have PCI cards,(TV, sound, Promise) it is a pain removed the jumper. I think this is the best KT600 board around but the chipset is not great for overclocking.... I gave 3 starts because the jumper location and the sad part is the new mobos from MSI they have it in the same place.

Comments: Built many systems sith the particular motherboard and it has yet to amaze me on how well it does. It has lot of extras for the amount of options that you get. I would highly recommend this board to anyone building a P or just for your normal use.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the money!

Comments: I was very pleased with all the extras this motherboard came with considering the low price. Setup was a snap, outside of manually setting the fsb for the processor. The only thing I missed was a case badge! Outside of that, this board has almost as many features as my ABIT Ai7 but for half the price.
