5 out of 5 eggsFlawless board

Pros: True plug and play here: I replaced my fried eMachines motherboard with the MSI, addded an AMD ATH64 processor and the ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 64 Pro with PWM fan control. I powered up and everything worked.

Cons: None, it worked as advertised.

Other Thoughts: I cursed eMachines as it seems that their motherboards last for about 4 years before they crash and burn. But I learned from other reviews here to install the oversized Arctic Cooling freezer fan to prevent this from happening in the future. At least this board is a big upgrade from the 32-bit AMD.

1 out of 5 eggsTotal waste of time...

Pros: NONE

Cons: This board came DOA. I should have read the reviews before I bought it. Just ordered an ASUS to replace it. MSI boards have been good quality in the past but this one has costed me too much time and frustration.

Other Thoughts: I guess if you spend less than xx dollars on a motherboard, you get what you pay for. The only other board that I bought DOA was several years ago, it was a low end ECS.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Color coding of connectors was very helpful for my first build. The board was also Linux friendly. I haven't installed any SATA drives yet, but it's nice that the capability is there.

Cons: I bought this in a K8MM-V bare bones kit. Had to pull the PSU to get the heat sink /fan installed. Only 3 PCI slots means you have to plan your expansion carefully

Other Thoughts: Good starter board. Considering replacing an old Socket A board in another system with one of these as well.

5 out of 5 eggsAnother Winner!

Pros: I still use this model for my budget buiilds and my latest one is as good as the first. For the casual or average user who wants a solid and reliable system without spending a lot of cash this is a great choice. If you are looking for a simple board for a low cost and very effective build this is one to consider.

Cons: Not a lot of frills or OC options, but for less than the cost of a tank of gas this this delivers performance and value.

Other Thoughts: OB video is fine for normal use and DVDs. If you want to game, just throw in a decent AGP card and you can play HL2 on high. Add a PVR 150 and it makes a nice gaming\home theater rig for your big screen TV.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Basic Board with RAID

Pros: Finished second build with this board with first build still running strong over a year. On board video is fine for business applications.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Bought for SATA RAID 1 mirroring after experiencing a devastating HD failure that my backup software was unable to restore. Go to MSI's website for how to set up RAID from supplied floppy disk. Like MSI's Live Update features. Only 1 SATA cable supplied. Requires 300W+ PS.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I have been building PC for many years and like this board for Basic business and basic home use. It plays games well if you add an AGP video card. 0 failers and setup is very simple

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Does not have all the accessores like more expensive boards so It may not be good or high end games or video editors. But its a workhorse and I like it for that.

5 out of 5 eggsMy Third One

Pros: Built a third system with this board and it is also totally perfect. I haven't had a single hiccup with any of them. It's a very simple board to install and set up. Great for first timers or veteran builders looking for a budget build to fill a specific need. Others may have had issues but I am perfectly happy so far with my results.

Cons: S754 with no upgrade path. For a low dollar board made for normal use and reliability I can live with that.

Other Thoughts: S754 is still a very viable option for a budget system and will do what most people expect from a computer. It's a good choice for those who still have some used but good spare parts in the closet. Add a DVD and you can have a very reliable machine that will handle everything except high end games.
