2 out of 5 eggsSecond Power On Fails

Pros: Worked on first startup, detected only half the RAM that was installed though.

Cons: Did a cold shutdown to reseat memory. Now there is no video feed.

Other Thoughts: Probably will RMA.

5 out of 5 eggsRevised "MB Cannot post" Comment

Pros: This is a revision to the Frustrated One's "MB cannot post" comments. MSI support responded to my online inquiry within 24 hours. I took their suggestion and rechecked the POWER CONNECTION to CPU. EVerthing ran like a breeze after the correction.

Cons: None so far

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: None yet

Cons: DoA. After installing all components powered on but received no signal from video. After breaking down the system to the basic CPU, 1 stick of ram, video card and one hard drive powered up again. This time the motherboard started up, all the power phase lights blinked then the system shutdown. Almost immediately the system attempted to power up again but immediately shut down again.

Other Thoughts: My last few systems were built with MSI boards. MY K9N2 Diamond is absolutely amazing. I will be RMA'ing this board for another because MSI has been good to me in the past.
After I receive the second board I will update this post.

1 out of 5 eggsMB will not post please help

Pros: Don't know yet

Cons: The MB powered on for a split second, and then powered off. This was repeated over and over. There was no video. A peep sound accompanied the power on. The MB's reset button lighted up as when the MB re-powered on. Please help before I send the MB back as DOA. I tried installing only one stick of Corsair XM3 1600 2gb eam, to no avail. Removed component one at a time, no help too.

Please advise anyone?

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good!

Pros: Easy to navigate Click BIOS.
One Button OC Genie.
SLI support.
Low price compared to other P67 boards.

Cons: Locking down the CPU lever took a surprising amount of force. I was actually worried I might break it in the process, but apparently a lot of 1155 socket boards are like that atm.

Other Thoughts: I'm pretty happy with the purchase. Lower price point than the competitors with all the same features and then some.

5 out of 5 eggsTrouble free upgrade

Pros: Trouble free upgrade.
UEFI let's you flash from a USB stick directly from the bios - no need to boot to DOS etc.
Boots to Windows in seconds
With core i7-2600K, night and day performance compared to E6600 - Black Ops now runs smooth.
Access to most BIOS parameters from Win7.

Cons: SATA connector orientation is odd?

Other Thoughts: I bought this board to replace an aging MSI P965 Platinum board. Placed the order on Wednesday early morning with the free shipping option and the board was at my door the next day. I also purchased 2x4GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz memory and a core i7-2600K CPU. I re-used my case, Agility2 drive, 450W power supply, H50 CPU cooler (with some creative mounting hole alignment) and 460GTX graphic card.
At first, the motherboard with BIOS 1.5 would not run the memory at its rated speed (1600), only 1333. Problem went away after flashing the latest BIOS (1.7).
I also had to reactivate Windows (online), as it detected the hardware change.
