5 out of 5 eggsAnd STILL running...

Pros: Well...here we are over a year since the last upgrade still running no problems...

Cons: makes lousy french toast, never calls when it's gonna be late...

Other Thoughts: Upgraded again to a FX-8350, all 8 cores thumping along at 4.5 with a corsair h100i keeping the temps down...MSI hasn't failed me and my first was a t-bird socket A over 15 years ago...

1 out of 5 eggsWors't board ever

Pros: At the moment I have nothing positive to say about this board.

Cons: Most awful bios I ever encountered. Sometimes it posts, some times not. Won't read my thumb drive to reflash. Has my ssd drive mixed up for my magnetic storage drive. MSI's hindenburg. When it does post it takes forever!

Other Thoughts: I own a PC repair and consulting business and have built well over a hundred computers. The last six Intel systems with MSI products. I bought this board to upgrade my own system to Sata 3. I have never been more disgusted with a board in all my years in business. I could have built 5 PC's in the time I have been screwing around with this. I'll rma to Newegg on monday and switch back to Gigabyte. MSI, you guys really blew it on this one!

3 out of 5 eggsdecent but...

Pros: usb3 and its pretty big, has space for everything i need

Cons: it has super bright blue leds above the cpu, my case is a haf932 case and its all red, defeats the purpose, wish it has an extra pci slot so when i run cross fire i can actually put a wifi card in there but instead i made a 100ft LAn cable. the thing i hate about it the most is that when i plug in my beats or any type of stereo the audio will shut off and tells me i unplugged it from my computer and its even worse on the direct ports on the motherboard, this gets me so mad expecially in a game, thats why this gets 3 stars, i r downloaded the audio drivers for the board and nothing happend and th gui bios sucks b/c it is beyond tricky to use. this is the only "ify" product that msi has ever sold me, all the other things ive bought from the work amazing

Other Thoughts: maybe i have a bad mobo or what? works with ssd's wich is nice boot up time from actual press to post takes longer than before i had my ssd

4 out of 5 eggsGood Mobo

Pros: Works fine! Not DOA. Instructions provided are fine for most people. Comes with Sata III cables which is great!

Cons: No internal USB3 headers :(
A little pricey for no USB3 on board.

Other Thoughts: You do not have to use the "strange" connector on the board if you don't need it. It is there in the case that your PSU does not have enough connectors for your video card(s).

5 out of 5 eggsnice board

Pros: Easy setup, a little buggy with USB ports at first but after Bio update and windows install msi drivers no problems. I have dual boot XP and windows 7 and both work great. Of genie has my 1090t at 3.8 can't wait to tweak it a little more. No problem with my evga 570 or pci-e fatality sound card. People complaining about power inputs should understand all the power needed to of motherboard.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Corsair 800 psw
Amd 1090t
Kingston hyper 16gb
Msi GD 65
Evga 570gtx

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome board, worth it.

Pros: Was easy to install, bios is amazing easy to control and it's fantastic using my mouse and keyboard. OC tool is easy to use and took my stock 1055T to 3.36Ghz with no issues or additional tweaking. Running crossfire just fine without having to plug in a 6pin to the motherboard itself.

Cons: I would like it if it was cheaper and had internal USB3.0 headers. But I knew what I was getting at time of purchase. Slowing posting process did worry me at first. (10 seconds to beep/post)

5 out of 5 eggsStill working, upgraded again...

Pros: Running 1100T at 3.9 with nothing but a stepped up multi, stock voltages...added a Samsung 830m 128G for a boot drive and it more than doubled the in-out over my old three raptor raid array...absolutely no problems.

Cons: Often wonder if the problems people are having could be related to motherboard standooffs...or driver selection...or weak power supplies.
This thing DOES have a funky extra power connection on the board, got anything plugged in there?

Other Thoughts: I'm wondering if my luck with motherboards is related to my background in troubleshooting...or just an overdeveloped attention to detail...

2 out of 5 eggsWow, problems compounding

Pros: It looks good. Lots of USB ports. AM3+

Cons: The USB ports randomly drop out, usually during boot. I installed the bored into my existing system and though the USB ports were making use of mouse and keyboard during BIOS they just stopped working by the time I got to Windows, while playing games they would randomly activate for other devices so the system would stall while attempting to install found hardware only to lose it again. And rinse. Repeat. Very frustrating. Switched to a SSD and found the problem was even worse, the initial install made it so that zero USB ports worked instead of just some. The manufacturer drivers helped the first go around but I found that using only windows drivers fixed it when using the SSD. I am sure you can imaging how frustrating it is to have a fresh piece of hardware you want to test only to find that the user interface hardware is not responding.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for and I paid for an open box. Previous MSI hardware has always performed stellar for me and that is why I chose this one. Open box came with no disk and no connectors of any sort. Actually had to download the ethernet driver to my phone and upload it onto the computer that way just so I could access the internet to get the other drivers. More trouble overall than the savings of an open box were worth.
