Pros: This is a very stable board. The build quality is fantastic, and it looks pretty too.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I just bought 4 of these and they all worked fine. I was able to easily overclock my memory and CPU with this board, but these were for a client, so I couldn't leave them that way. Running at normal speeds I don't think these boards will every die.

1 out of 5 eggsToo Many Issues

Pros: None at this point.

Cons: Have had this board since September. After BIOS updates and constant searching for answers, this board has failed. BSODs when playing games with too many BCCodes to list. Do one thing to fix and it freezes or BSODs with a completely new BCCode. Will attempt to RMA the board after useless help from MSI tech support.

Other Thoughts: The manuals are terrible and for the most part, do not give useful information for the average user. The voltage for the RAM in BIOS is wrong with no possible way to set it to the 1.5 recommended for the mem sticks. Not sure if the issues are software or hardware related but I am disgusted by this experience with MSI.

Pros: Performs as expected.

Cons: There was some decyphering the pinouts for the hd light, pwr switch etc. The sound cable connection in the corner is just silly. Oh and USB connectors facing toward the front of the case and not top up is bizarre.

1 out of 5 eggsMSI S__ks

Pros: What pros ?

Cons: What kind of a game you're playing ? I had the first one turn out to be defective. I RMA'ed through NewEgg (thanks, guys !). The second one was defective also. Couldn't return it through NewEgg, so I went to the factory. When I returned it, they wait a week or so, then shipped me the same board back again. I thought they had fixed it, so I went ahead and installed it. It wouldn't boot, because it was too busy restarting.......over and over and over and over......you get my drift.....
I swear I'm going to find a way to make your product line a not so fond memory.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid MB

Pros: Plugged everything in to the board, attached power, posted first time.

Cons: If I boot from a USB thumb drive, then shutdown and remove the USB stick, then restart, boot order changes to one of my storage platter HD, rather than the SSD drive where Win7 is installed and which was selected in the bios to boot first. I have to reboot, go into bios, reselect the SSD as boot disk, save and reboot.

Other Thoughts: As mentioned in another review, bios reported cpu temp is about 10C higher than coretemp/realtemp. What am I going to use the 2 PCI slots for?

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Motherboard

Pros: Lots of connections, love the 1 second overclock feature. Pushed my i-2500k up to 4.5ghz.

Cons: None, should have bought it sooner.

Other Thoughts: Don't bother connecting the motherboard speaker unless you want to hear it beep every time you boot up telling you how many usb devices are connected.

Pros: see below

Cons: be careful not to press in the o.c. genie button while assembling or working on/around the board.
especially if your overclocked already.

Other Thoughts: still think the board is great.
just an update that may help others who purchase this board;
after changing to a bigger / better power supply (putting some lower end hardware together to sell) the board was stuck in a re-boot loop upon power up.
it turns out i accidentally pushed in the o.c. genie button while plugging in the main 24 pin motherboard power connector (the board already had a nice overclock).
i tried everything to get it out of that loop;
hard cmos clear
remove all peripherals
the only think that worked was to remove my second stick of ram from slot 3 (slot 1 still populated).
i had to setup my bios how i wanted it again but it is back up and running smooth (with both memory sticks).

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: works w/ an ocz revo ssd.

the DVI port offers great graphics from the sandy bridge chip.

msi has made huge improvements over the past few years and is now the number 2 manufacturer in the world.

what made me start using msi boards is that they are the best/quickest at getting bios revisions out.

they were the first manufacturer to include a bios fix for ocz revo ssd data corruption.

i have not had to deal with there engineering support as my last 4 msi boards (p67-gd55,g43,g43,this one) have been outstanding.

easy to get a good overclock;
in the overclocking section of the bios i changed cpu multiplier to 43 and cpu voltage to 1.35

recognized my correct memory timings 8-8-8-24 without changing any bios settings.

Cons: minor con but my board has slight but consistent warpage.
the three standoff holes on the right (looking down) were approx.
4mm above the standoffs (i checked, and my antec 300 mounting surface was flat).
i am sure i could have just fastened it down and it would have been fine but i am an al so i used three taller standoffs for a near perfect fit.
