5 out of 5 eggsgreat inexpensive board

Pros: Not one problem whatsoever

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: In only use asus or msi motherboards for my builds. Have never had a problem with either one. I use this one as a gaming board and it it more than adequate for even the latest most graphically demanding and cpu intensive games. Pair this up with a vishera 6 core and its outstanding

2 out of 5 eggsDA CONS!

Pros: it doesn't try to murder me while i sleep.

Cons: this motherboard is plagued with incorrect driver identification. windows plug and play will misread components and install incorrect drivers.

Other Thoughts: the driver disk was nearly no help. it gives you options to install drivers but never works. the onboard GPU drivers will never install through the disk. it takes manual removal of standard windows drivers and a force install of the proper ones off the disk. i went though 7 hours of headaches trying to get the "hybrid xfire" solution to work. AMD's scan and install driver solution will not work to fix the onboard GPU drivers. Ive installed plenty of motherboards before and by far this was the most headache inducing one.

1 out of 5 eggsdead

Pros: can handle fx 6-core cpus

Cons: the memory management started to die after 2 weeks of use. this is a work computer so I have tried everything in the book and replaced everything else up til now to try and fix issues even installing windows around 10 times. I will never buy msi again

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT MOTHERBOARD!!

Pros: I love everything about this motherboard. I purchased it a few years back and I upgraded to Haswell and reused it on my parent's budget build and it's still running strong.

Cons: NONE.

Other Thoughts: 2/20/2013 is when I purchased this motherboard. I've never had problems with any MSI boards I've owned (13). I would definitely recommend to consider this brand, they make great and durable motherboards.

5 out of 5 eggsSimple

Pros: For a smaller atx board this is laid out well, and has capacity for plenty of Ram for day to day activities. Accepts a wide range of CPUs. Directions for Front-panel connections are very clear.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Bios took some time to get into. Was using USB keyboard at first and had to dig out PS/2 before it would let me in. Now it works fine with USB.

1 out of 5 eggsawful board!

Pros: Decent price, decent layout.

Cons: Doesn't WORK!!

Other Thoughts: Agree with Tiffany B. have same issue as them..this BOARD is garbage!!

Won't let me update BIOS. Won't detect graphics card. Won't boot from hard disk except 1 to 5 times.

BIOS pre-loaded is version 17.13 & Manufacture date is June 2013

MSI is garbage for low end. Don't buy! Stick to Asus!

5 out of 5 eggscompact gaming board.

Pros: I liked just about everything about this board, it comes well packaged ,with sata cables its very functional. Its a micro so its small as to be expected. Works well with selected components and allows high scoring benchmarks and great gaming experience. could also make a great theater addition.

Cons: It did have a few cons thou iwth a double spaced video card 3 out of 6 sata ports are covered and unusable almost enough to take a egg away. It lacks visual appeal and has no real color thats not covered up. no big deal

Other Thoughts: I paired it with fast ram -7-7-7=21 max interface speed
the AMD fx6300 with stock fans
a powercolor 7870 2gb edition
and a MSI blitz case with seasonic M12 PSU
The machine rocks in many benches parts out preform my 970 with the same CPU , and the video card is tuff to match laying any concerns that the cheaper MB would not preform strait to rest, really the olny thing that bugs me it the covered up sata plugs ,but fortunately It only has 1 drive ,but if it was my main PC I would be mad since it uses 5 drives.

5 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly good!

Pros: Grabbed a combo including this mainboard, and expected very little from it. I was shocked at just how good this inexpensive little board turned out to be!
Simple to setup, friendly bios and a nice footprint size all adds up to a surprisingly good board, especially considering the price.

Cons: The is a single PCI-e x16 that sits directly above a single PCI-e x1 slot... if you have a module that requires the x1, you will need to find a thin videocard (or use the Radeon 3000 that is onboard, ugh).
It's not a -huge- big issue, and the pictures show it very clearly (and therefore I will not take an egg off)... but I failed to realize this before ordering.
After shopping around, I found a nice Radeon 240 that is thin enough to still allow for my capture card to use the x1 slot, and all is well... but I still thought it worth pointing out, in case anyone else missed it (the way I did).

Other Thoughts: I spent less than $370 on the case, 6-core AMD proc, 8 gigs of ram, 430 watt power supply and this mainboard... and the performance per dollar is just pure awesome. For a budget build, this is the single best combo I have ever seen.
Excellent component selection by the wonderful folks at NewEgg, lightning fast shipping and this mainboard far exceeds any expectation the price could have allowed a reasonable person to have when ordering. 5 golden eggs all around.

1 out of 5 eggsGoodbye MSI

Pros: It got here fast, but that really doesn't apply to the boards functionality itself.

Cons: Yes....
No Bios access. Posted fine, but would not recognize anything except the CD rom with the windows instal disk.
Did all the standard checks, different keyboards tried, sata connectors, new battery, everything we could possibly do.
When it did finally boot from the hdd which it would only do 1 out of every 5 times or so the memory dump errors began.
Random things going wrong, from the no BIOS access, memory dumps, failing USB ports, not recognizing the hdd.. the list goes on....

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money on this board unless you want a paper-weight. This was my last chance with MSI due to previous product issues, this just sealed its fate...
Good-bye MSI, never again.
Returned it for a refund- NewEggs Customer Service was good about it and easy to deal with so far.
