4 out of 5 eggsNice Board

Pros: Good price and solid board

Cons: Did not like to boot on initial post. it took a long time to get it to recognize a PCI-e Vid card before the first BIOS update.

Other Thoughts: Will warp if to much heat is inside the case.

4 out of 5 eggsNice board but....

Pros: Everything you need in a mobo...

Cons: No USB 3.0....Did try a ton of drivers, one port would eventually work but all devices that were 3.0 were shown with an exclamation sign.Speed was not constant either. RMAed this one, trying MSI with a different board.

Other Thoughts: I would buy again if USB 3.0 wouldn't be an issue.

5 out of 5 eggsMSI again! :)

Pros: MSi puts out some decent board in the budget range and I happened to need one to do my latest rig. After my previous MSI board just died on me (after like 4 yrs strong on an always-on system!), I decided to go with them again and this one came in pretty good in the ratings. So far so good. Nice job my MSI on the like 10+ onboard USB 2.0 ports on the back and via your case cables and the USB 3.0 ports which are on the back as well! They are all definitely being used with the many devices I use - smartphones, tablets, cameras,USB flash drives, external HDs and the list can go on! Nice job MSI, I'm sure this one will last as long as or longer than the last one! :) I think I'll stick with MSI (being a user of many other brands out now and that have been out) for some time to come. :)

Cons: None so far. Everything running well with this the board for my uses.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: built with a am3 x4 960T. I used unlock cores feature and I went from 4 cores to 6 cores. Worked like a charm and successfully overclocked to 3.4 ghz with a windows 7 rating of 7.6! Very stable, Tons of bios features

Cons: Memory slots are a little close to the cpu socket. Mounting a cool master hyper 101 will block 1 memory slot. No biggie for me, I only used 2 slots and also no usb3 header... I won't take a egg off for this for the price.

Other Thoughts: Budget build.... Definitely get this.

1 out of 5 eggsDied 1st day

Pros: Worked with an FX 8120 out of the box.
Looked nice ran great till one of the FET's on the mainboard popped. Non-overclocked 8-core 8120 Killed this board...

Cons: MSI support took 4 days to tell me the processor would not work without a BIOS update... REALLY!? It worked fine till a FET exploded on the board, how does that have anything to do with the stupid BIOS?

Other Thoughts: Well Known Issue with the 870 G54 Series boards, and 8 core procs, you push them too much and the FETs will die.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Inexpensive. This is a great board in my opinion. Overclocking feature is great for those who wish to use it. Solid state caps for longevity. Two PCI-E x16 for Xfire or SLI. Max 32 GB of RAM if you really feel like you need that. Price/Performance.

Cons: I ordered two of these. One for my wife and one for a friend of hers. Her friends board is flawless. My wifes however, came with burnt out USB. Anything plugged into usb constantly gets disconnected and reconnected. I've researched and found this board to be prone to USB problems. I reformated the hard drive thinking I may have installed the drivers wrong. Re-install of all drivers starting with chipset and moving on to USB 3.0 after restart. Came to the conclusion that she has a bad board which seems to be common as far as USB is concerned with this particular board.

Other Thoughts: Newegg has been great. Hopefully I can have this problem sorted out since I spend alot on here. Waiting on Newegg or MSI to respond with one of those "we're sorry to hear about that we hope you enjoy your replacement" messages really soon.
