5 out of 5 eggsBB X II Followup

Pros: It really works! Still one of the sharpest looking mainboards on the market.

Cons: None, now that the problem was identified.

Other Thoughts: MSI Technical after the second mainboard failed to POST, requested I send in the mainboard along with the CPU for testing. Turns out the CPU was at fault. Intel replaced it, all is good!

3 out of 5 eggsOverpriced Combo

Pros: Awesome motherboard and graphic card.(+3 stars)

Cons: Priced separately the graphic card costs 499USD and the motherboard 389.99USD which only totals out to 888.99! What is the point of this combo? They make it seem like battlefield 3 is a bonus when it isn't. They are charging for the game as well so even with the mail in rebate(if you don't want battlefield 3) this combo is 11USD more expensive than buying the two parts separately.(-2stars)

Other Thoughts: I do not own this combo or the parts(I will soon own the parts in my next build though) so please don't make a review bashing mine. I am only informing people of the price difference to help them make a better decision of their own free will. To put this review into one short sentence: This combo is basically only cheaper if you want to buy battlefield 3 and wait for the mail in rebate.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Like everything about it. I would recommend it .

Cons: Not really a con for the motherboard, but when I installed my memory it would not boot. kept giving me a debug code of 67(late cpu initialization). thought it was a problem with the motherboard. Since it wasn't booting up i tried putting in only the minimum things this included only 1 stick of memory. It booted right up. ended up trying all 4 stick only to find out i had 2 bad sticks. putting in all 4 sticks would cause debug code 67 to show up, but putting in only the 2 good sticks it would boot right up. currently RMAing the memory. Using memory from old build(still ddr3) and its working. Cant OC it yet but when i get replacment memory i will be.

Other Thoughts: if u get this motherboard and it wont boot check your memory. If you have any bad sticks it will not boot.
