1 out of 5 eggsWell, not so good after all

Pros: I had commented in a review earlier giving this 5 eggs (msi h61m-p31 motherboard review). I wish I would have waited....

Cons: I had to flash the BIOS to get it to recognize any PCI-E card, I figured I would give it a chance. After a few weeks it started to randomly reboot and power off. I swapped all the hardware but it still happens. Now it continually boots to the BIOS setup screen and won't do anything else no matter what I try (reset to defaults, load optimized, CMOS rest, etc). I am contacting MSI to see what they can do. I wish I would have RMA'ed it in the beginning.

Other Thoughts: I also purchased an ASRock B75M-DGS motherboard for another pc. That board has been flawless from day 1. Wish I had another for this setup...

5 out of 5 eggsDecent Motherboard

Pros: Worked installed easily.

Cons: BIOS splash screen is stupid. "Top Quality and Stability Mainboard" gee thanks for sharing.

Other Thoughts: Wish it had 4 RAM slots and an extra 2 SATA ports, but for how physically small it is, and the price, I won't complain!

3 out of 5 eggsDecent enough.

Pros: Nice board for inexpensive / low end builds.

Cons: Bought two of these so far. First one works fine but the second one one of the ram slots was dead.
Rather than RMA the board and wait a couple weeks I just bought a single larger stick of ram.

Other Thoughts: Since it is a micro board be mindful of what order you put things together as things can start getting in the way of each other.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Value!

Pros: Works great! For the other reviewer who said they had a small surge and it went off, i had the same problem as well. Theres a CPU power connector which you have forgot to connect thats why you seen the power being shorted out. you will need to make sure your power supply has seperate P4 MB pin connectors (its those 2 x 2 square shaped connector) along with standard 20+4 pin connector. Make sure you connect EVERYTHING. make sure you know which connection is negative (white wire), positive, make sure u know where the power sw, reset sw are being connected to, etc. My
Ultra LSP450 450-Watt powered it up perfectly. This is a simple motherboard to install.

Cons: One problem i had to lock the cpu door with extra strength. But this wont hurt the cpu at all just require a bit more force to lock it. moreover, the manual was too basic i think they should provide in depth detail. But you can get more clearer manual from their website. thats why im giving it a 4 star

Other Thoughts: overall it works. a great brand and inexpensive. i guess some people just have trouble installing. You might need a technician if your a newb to building pc

1 out of 5 eggsRUN!

Pros: None

Cons: I've had decent luck with MSI before so I picked up 11 of these boards. Two of the first three would only boot loop to the bios config and the third couldn't even get that far. Tried with different power supplies, memory and CPUs. No way am I going to waste my time mucking with the rest. They are all going right back to newegg.
