4 out of 5 eggsGood stuff.

Pros: Works. 3 year warranty, solid company, can't go wrong.

Cons: I'm not a fan of the side SATA ports, I had to do some significant maneuvering in my case.

Other Thoughts: I'm a fan of MSI these days, I hold them in as good or better regard as some of the other top brands. I haven't had a problem with one yet, that I didn't cause, LOL.

I have dealt with their RMA service before, and it's pretty darn solid.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Micro ATX

Pros: Its compact, easy click gui bios, very easy to install, plentiful fans connectors for a micro atx build.

Cons: Msi denied my rebate and said I could resend it but they had the barcode so I could. The said the wont take the newegg receipt I provided them.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome motherboard with all features!!!1

Pros: Has all the high-end features:
USB 3
SATA 6
UEFI Bios
PCI E. 3
-I would say that this is a high-end motherboard for a low-end (cheap) price. (At least for me, since I will only watch movies and do basic things on it, no gaming, video editing, or any hardcore stuff)
-If you're low on cash, but still want high-end featured mobo., this is the way to go.

Cons: There are none

Other Thoughts: -I have had it for only one day.
-As soon as I put my first build together, (without testing it) It started up just like I had expected it and set the ram to 1600 (enabled XMP) and installed windows.
I was also somewhat discouraged by some reviews about it being DOA, but that's luck, and I got lucky (maybe).

My first build's specs:
XION XON 560 mATX Case (Awesome Case)
Pentium G2120 3.1Ghz
Crucial Ballistix Elite 4GB 1600Mhz
(A cheap $15 power supply from e-bay, from "kentek")
This Motherboard
160GB old 7200rpm HHD

1 out of 5 eggsterrible design

Pros: has a high rating and good reviews

Cons: just received this board - ready to replace a faulty ASUS that I am going to RMA. This MSI board is 9.6" square - max size for an uATX board. That's fine - it will fit in my ANTEC HTPC case, but barely. But the SATA ports are placed right at the edge of the board (look at the top down view). This board requires and extra 2-3" of room in the case to allow room to plug in the SATA cables. They should have the connections straight up, NOT straight out the side. This is an uATX board, it is supposed to fit in SMALL cases. Trying to decide if I want to cut a hole in the internal case wall to make room or just RMA this board.

Other Thoughts: uATX board that requires and ATX case - make sure you have plenty of room - at least 12" from the rear connection panel

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear the issue you've encountered during installation.
The connectors must face toward rear in order to avoid conflict with expansion cards, this design is standard as others as well.

3 out of 5 eggsthe msi h77ma-g43 mATX motherboard

Pros: good little board except for one thing so see Cons

Cons: the msi h77ma-g43 had a lousy Lan and i just sold it for that reason. I did not like it's lack lustre performance and i made a note of the Lan chipset used there.

Other Thoughts: newegg was professional; and speedy on delivery / first class. Also be sure and read my other reviews.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with this product.
The LAN controller used on this product is an Intel controller and performance should be great, see below for its spec.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: No pro's to this considering it did not work.

Cons: Went to build a computer and tried everything I could and this motherboard was DOA. With this said I am sending everything back and trying to buy a complete computer. I was completely turned off from this experience.

Other Thoughts: Not happy this is costing me more money for a mistake I did not make.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsGood little motherboard

Pros: Easy to setup and worked good right out of the box. Bios works good and windows 7 install went great.

Cons: It is a modest board so do know that it's not a rolls royce.

Other Thoughts: It is running good and serves the purpose that i got it for. Recommended and thanks newegg for a smooth deal.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellect Product

Pros: I've ordered at least five of these in the past year:
- No boards were DOA
- No boards have died in the past 6-12 months
- PCIe 3.0 x16
- XMP
- 4 USB3 ports with the front connector
- UEFI BIOS
- Micro-ATX
- Realtek audio (I loathe conexant)
- Most important --- The right price!

Cons: - As mentioned before, the overclocking options aren't exactly power user friendly, but this board really isn't intended for that purpose (seriously... it's LGA1155... pick a different socket if you want more), although you have the CPU turbo mode.
- I purchased DDR3 2400 memory on one machine because it says it supports it... you have no control over this manually. Although the memory speed in the BIOS will say 1600, you'll need to select an XMP profile in order to achieve the faster speeds. Irritating, but no biggy. Would like the BIOS would indicate that it's 1600 overclocked to 2400 via XMP.
- C'mon MSI... all your boards need to support both SLI and Xfire, not just either/or. This is the only feature that was done sloppily on this board.
- None of these "cons" are any reason to dock this board an egg. It is rock solid, tried and true.

Other Thoughts: - I understand the number of 6Gb/s SATA connectors is limited by the chipset, but I'd like to see ALL the SATA connectors be 6Gb/s as they're backward compatible with the 3Gb/s.
- Would like the USB3 front panel connector and the SATA connectors to switch places on the board, which would make the board easier to fit into the smaller form factor chassis, but now I'm just being picky.
- Really this board's great. if you're contemplating it, stop and just buy it. Good solid board.
- The UEFI BIOS is definitely a leap forward in the right direction for PCs... now if we could just get elaborate descriptions on all the settings and what exactly they did and how to tweak it.
- Having worked with nearly every motherboard manufacturer's support over the past 15 years, I would say MSI's is probably the best (which isn't saying much, but at least you'll get someone [who might speak some English] who can help you out if you should need a replacement). I was buying Intel boards, but now that Intel will no longer be making boards, I only buy MSI boards at this point.

3 out of 5 eggsSli?

Pros: Fast board with nice boot times

Cons: Can't find out how to SLI. It's advertised on newegg as an SLI board but I can't find the option.

Other Thoughts: Other than the SLI option, this is a great board

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with this product.
H77MA-G43 doesn't support SLI but CrossFire, please see below for product overview.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat I was looking for

Pros: Really great look
Everything was placed in a good location for neat cable management
Up to date features like USB 3.0, SATA III, and PCIe 3.0
Has XMP

Cons: Not overclockable, wanted to give my memory lower latency but didn't know this motherboard couldn't do that. Not that big of a deal so I wont deduct an egg
